DECEMBER 6, 2009 Winter WONDERland sailing!!!

Lynn,

Where ARE you? You should be back by now. We want details of the Halloween party and your vacation. So get posting and spill!

We kept the thread all nice, warm and cozy for ya in your absence. :thumbsup2

PS: The tickets for Twilight will be going on sale soon - some places already have them out. I bet you are going to catch a midnight viewing.

Smiles,

Holly

i will tell you it was hot and I got a heat rash on my arms that is still here...crowds were awful but surprisingly wed. and sat. were the least crowded days...I think sat. was because southern cal passes were blocked out and there was no TOT party....had a great stay at the DL hotel...we were on the 11th floor in the main bldg which I love...they have recently changed the names to the 3 towers, from marina, bonita and sierra towers to dreams, wonder and magic but I can never remember them...I still call them their old names...had a HUGE big room but the only problem was the beds were SO HIGH that I had awful time getting up there every night...my dd had to pull/push me:lmao: the first night we went down to the garden walk and ate at Cheescake Factory...but from that point on we just ate in the park..I have some pics..Im not very good with taking and remembering to take pics...we did 2 character meals...one was lilo and stitch at the Paradise Pier hotel and they had alot of hawiian foods as well as basic breakfast items...they had this salmon in a teriyaki sauce with sticky rice to die for...pineapple scones, omlett station, I had chorizo and eggs with flour tortillas (they brought them wrapped hot to my table)eggs with potatoes, linguica sausage, peppers and onions and cheese...and one that was egg whites, ricotta cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms...pancakes, mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, bagels with smoked salmon, tomatoes, onions, and capers...muffins, pastries, ham, it was good the characters were lilo and stitch, minnie, goofy, pluto, chip was there but he never ended up coming round to our table, I think he was leaving as we were coming in:confused3 ...the other was in the Park at the Plaza Inn and it is Minnie and Friends...from everything I have read and pics Ive seen, the closest thing I can think that this is to is CP breakfast but with different items...eggs, omlet station, carved ham, buscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, pastries, fruit (oh oranges, watermelon, canteloupe, green melon, grapes, strawberries) hashed browns, muffins, cake breads...it was all very good and the characters are minnie, capt hook, winnie the pooh, tigger, eeyore, piglet, I will tell you about the rest later...I have been back 3 days and not gone to the grocery store yet so I am headed there now...but this should get you guys started:goodvibes and thanks for the welcome home:hug:

Well I just booked this cruise last night, I am doing Mousefest cruise this year and was going to wait till I was on board to book again but I noticed that the price had gone down almost $300 for a solo in a CAT 12 so I jumped on it. I also booked the 3 day Dec 10, but not sure if I will keep that one.

I will try and find some time to catch up on this thread but it may take some time. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Lisa

Welcome to this cruise Lisa! It's going to be a fun one as well because it IS also the MouseFest cruise. I would assume we'll get a lot more people on the thread after this year's as people will book onboard, etc.

Yes, we've been a bit of a gabby bunch and we have 29 pages of posts already! (true much of it is just chit-chat....)

We'll be real interested to hear about THIS year's MouseFest Cruise and the activities they do. I bet your cruise will be an absolute blast and great time!

Smiles,

Holly

:welcome: Welcome, Lisa! I sent you a PM. I saw your family listed in your sig, but since you mentioned the price had gone down for a "solo in a Cat. 12," I added you to the cruiser list by yourself. Is that correct?

BTW - I clicked the link in your sig and have been reading your March cruise report. Excellent report! :thumbsup2

Shari

Thank you for the welcome. I try and get away for a solo trip every December so that will be the plan for 2009.

I will be sure to report back on Mousefest 2008, it is coming fast and I cannot wait.

Not a great morning. Just now I had to submit a "support ticket" to my web host, as you will notice the graphics and the cruise website are not working. I hope they fix it immediately!

UPDATE 10:09 a.m.: Yaaay! Looks like they fixed it!

Just wanted to keep our thread going.

How is everyone doing? I'm having some concerns about the cabin we selected. I read that it is next to the laundry room. I'm afraid it might be noisy. Anyone have any experience with this?

Hope everyone is doing okay.

Check THIS REPORT page for your room. Apparently everyone seemed happy with it and did not get the noise they expected because of the fire door/wall between it and the laundry room. Check it out.

Thanks. I read that report but then I have seen others that say there was alot of noise coming from the room.

What to do!!!!!

Well, if you can change rooms, you might just do that then, if it will make you feel better.

BTW - When our cruise website does not work it is apparently due to high volume on the server and they have to restart it . . whatever . . Sorry to anyone who tries to access during that time. Hopefully the issues will be resolved soon for good. Since the signature graphics are at the same location, that is why they don't appear if that is happening. :headache:

msgoofy - (and anyone else) Please let me know if you change staterooms, so I can update the list on the website.

Also, if anyone has a photo of themselves they'd like me to add to the website, I'd be thrilled. I know a lot of people don't like pictures of themselves, but maybe just a small face pic for the sake of recognition?

Another thought, if you have sailed on the Wonder before and have photos on the web you would like linked from our site, I'd be happy to do that.

That's a good idea. The next time Shari and I are in the parks together, I'll have her take one. It's true I don't tend to like photos of myself - but I've been really, really, good and I'm starting to feel that I look like ME. :woohoo: I'm feeling well too - a bit more energy and stamina. :yay:

O/T: Shari - did you see "the other theme park with attractions" is having Manheim Steamroller on your birthday this year? I LOVE them! (them and Transiberian Orchestra)

Smiles,

Holly

I love them too, BUT I will be at Epcot on my b'day - Garden Grill, remember? I know my usual 'munk helpers won't be there, but GG is my "tradition." :bday:

Is no one willing to submit a small face photo (or even a family or cruise group photo) to help everyone recognize you on the cruise? It can be slightly distant. It can even be Photoshopped - LOL. We don't care. This isn't a beauty contest. We're just friends who want to be able to spot you in the terminal and say "Hey! I know you!" before we even board. :wave2:

Lynn was brave enough to post that close-up of her mouth, but I'm NOT going to use that as a link from her name on the cruiser list! :rotfl2:

I'm not that fond of photos of myself, but finally realized that, hey, everyone WILL see me on the cruise, so why not prepare them in advance? ::yes::

I'll see if Shari is willing to shoot a photo for me on Tuesday. I can always update it as we get closer to the cruise. The one I have now is a few years older and I've got shorter hair.

Smiles,

Holly

We just booked!!!! This is our third cruise except we are leaving the children at home -- they are already groaning, but hey...they have already been on two. Look forward to chatting!

Hi MickeyMania!

Welcome to the cruise thread!

Shari and I just got back from a park visit today. Wow are we tired - we walked and walked and walked! GREAT weather. It also was fun as we talked about the cruise and the things we'd like to do. We also actually bumped into someone who is going on the cruise we have booked in 2010. Its such fun to meet everyone - so I am really excited that in just a little over a year we'll meet some of you!

By the way, if you click on the MouseFest graphic - it'll take you the website that Shari did for this group. She'll add your info if you give it (cabin # or Category), do you want to do fish extenders, etc. Of course ALL info is optional. Glad to see you here!

Smiles,
Holly

:welcome: Welcome mickeymania! Great to have you join us! As Holly said, we have a growing website HERE.

I added the info from your post. Listed you as "herself & DH" since I don't know which you are - LOL. If you would like me to add your Dinner Seating, Stateroom (Number, Category or just Deck), and whether you'd like to do the Fish Extenders, PM me or post here and I'll get it on there.

Looking forward to meeting you and chatting with you here!

Shari
