So HM and Small World are going down for months to start of the 70th.....

I don't think HMH is going down for months. They announced an extended closure for Small World both before and after the holidays. I haven't followed the exact dates, but WDWNT says it will close again on Jan 21.

The 70th was never likely to start before Memorial Day weekend. The 50th started on May 5th likely because of the "5", the 60th started Memorial Day weekend. The 70th isn't until July, so starting in May makes more sense than starting in January.

Don't expect the 70th to start until after Easter which is late April. The 2024 summer season started the first week of May. I expect the 70th to start then.

11/21 Addition: Pixie Hollow was added back to the refurb calendar and is down through 1/2 as of now. This is from the DL website and not the app.

There is a rumor that they are behind schedule and possibly having issues with the show.

I know a lot are hopeful for a January premiere. I personally don't expect it to premiere until May/Memorial day with the start of the 70th celebration.

I do not expect it back until April/May..after Easter April 20th ...they will have the 70th start then too...
