My Daughter and I are also going to be in DL for Christmas / New Year. We're booked in at the Grand Californian from the 23rd Dec - 3rd Jan, then with friends until the 12th.
While I expect the crowds to be massive on quite a few days, having 10 days in the parks means we won't feel super rushed and panicked trying to see everything. Also it's by no means our first trip to DL and if we miss a couple of things we've done previously it'll be fine. We're drawing up a list of the *must do's* and it's pretty small, so it should be a fun trip.
We're home on the 14th, then my daughter has about a week to pack before she heads back to WDW for the Disney International Program.
