December 2015 Check-In Thread

I live relatively locally, and often park at Toy Story when I'm doing a day trip....the busses back and forth to Toy Story run non-stop...there's probably 20 or 30 of them, so the only time there is even a little wait is after park closing when there are far more people loading onto them...but again, since there are so many running in a constant stream, I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes, even at the end of the day/after park closing. Any other time of the day, it's pretty much a walk on to a waiting bus in either direction. :)
Awesome! Strollers would need to be folded, right? We usually bring our double stroller (it folds flat and wide). Would that fit on the trams, do you think?

Count me in my DD17 and me at BWPPI from Dec 10th thru Dec 15th!!!
Is it time to start packing yet??:rotfl2::rotfl2:
You mean you haven't started yet??

Okay, I'll admit it. I've kind of started packing... But only because I have things I take on every trip, so they are all together in my closet, next to my suitcase (which is also always in my closet). But, I've added coins for my pressed pennies...

I'm into single digit week countdown now! This time in 9 weeks, I'll be asleep in bed, getting ready for my 6am flight :)

Does saving money in a mickey woc popcorn bucket count as packing? LOL
I do have a bunch of items in my bathroom in a to go bag with meds and ponchos, and things in case some one hurts a finger or arm or hand. I am going to toss it in the checked baggage and take it even if I don't need it just to be safe. I also have my pins ready besides the new ones I need to buy for trading.

Ooohhh I have just found this thread :)
We arrive on the 3rd December for 4 nights after getting married in Vegas on the 1st

Staying at the Sheraton Park but tempted to change this to the Hotel Indigo. Afterwards we go to Aulani - eeek so excited!

Yes it is!! At least, it is for me! :tilt:

Now is the time I start shopping for special Disney gear, like shoes, bags, and rain wear. I like to break in my Disney shoes with some long hikes and all-day events so I can figure out if they'll hold up for me in the parks. And with the threat of El Nino bringing lots of rain to SOCAL, I've been trying on some better rain gear to bring along. My Frogg Toggs are great and I'll probably buy them again (they're sporting a few holes from last year), but I love window shopping for bigger and better. :) I have a pair of leather Keens that did perfectly in last year's heavy rain, so they'll return this trip.

And for DH I'm stocking up long-sleeve t-shirts and an extra pair of jeans for the trip!

For those curious, I really love the Frogg Toggs Ultra-Lite2 rain suits. We had them last year when it rained several inches on our visit. They kept our street clothes very dry.

I am taking my daughter and son as well as my daughters boyfriend. (My husband poor guy gets left being since he works for ups). My daughters boyfriend has never been. We will be there from dec 22 to dec 27

Count us in!! Its a girls trip (me, sister, and our mom). We are staying at BWPPI (first time) -- hope we like it! Dec. 10 - Dec. 13

Super excited! I love DLR during the holidays! :santa:

Hey everyone!

Just an FYI, if I've only listed the dates you're going, it's because you didn't say where you were staying.
I presume at this point, if you haven't noted where you're staying, you either don't want to or you haven't decided/made reservations yet.

If you see that your name on the list has dates, but doesn't say where you're staying, and you DO want it noted, just let me know and I'll edit. :)

We'll be there (my DGD7 and I; my daughter and her best friend will join us for a few days) from December 26th through January 2nd, staying at HoJo's. I've never gone in late December and am trying not to dread the crowds. We've been so fortunate to have made several long trips recently, so my plan is just to go with the flow and not worry about what we're not doing - just enjoying whatever comes our way. We're taking the next year off for a combination of reasons, so this trip will be extra magical and bittersweet - hopefully mostly sweet. :lovestruc No matter how next year goes, at least it will start off with magic!

Thank you Kittyskyfish.

Unbelievably, my team at work is attending the Disney Institute @disneyland Resort on 12/16, so the DW and I are heading to DLR a couple of days early!!

Staying at Park Vue Inn 12/13-14, and Grand Californian on 12/15

Can't wait to be there that week, with Christmas full on and all the Star Wars stuff!!!!

Wasn't sure we were going to do a winter trip this year, but with all the closings/changes next year, we have to say good bye to BTRBBQ and some of our other favorites!
December 27-Jan 1.

We'll be at BW Stovalls unless a room magically opens at PPH in the mean time!

Nov 30-Dec 4 and back for Christmas Dec 23 - 26 (either end of SW road trip).

Most likely at Ramada Maingate - would rather spend the $$ on Chef's Counter at Napa Rose than a slightly larger/nicer hotel room, that we'll only be using for a bed and a shower.

Oh how I LOOOOVE Napa Rose Chef Counter - we are likely doing it for our December trip too.

Sounds like two awesome trips.
