December 2014 watch

Subscribing to this page. We are going on the Wonder from Dec. 3-7th and hope to be able to catch some FD at WDW for the 17th through 11th or 12th. Can't wait to go to the Christmas party once more. The first time was not very good as they never cleared out the park, so hoping for a better experience this time.

I know I have read which of the values are most used by this group - but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Are all the values filled or is it just All Star Sports.... what about Movies and Music? Thanks ALso, I once read on Mousesavers the page that told previous discounts and when they were announced - cant seem to find that either - anyone know ??

Count us in for December 5-20 at POFQ! We had booked FQ on our last trip in 2012 but switched resorts to take advantage of the room discount at CBR. Much as we enjoyed CBR, we've decided this time to stay at POFQ no matter what, and if we get a discount, that's extra pixie dust for us! I believe, and I might be wrong here, that even if there was a FD or RO discount, it excludes POFQ because it's the smallest resort and almost always filled.

Either way, I'm happy to be going! First time to see the holiday decorations and go to the Xmas party!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but here goes....
We would like to go to Pop Century for just a couple days after Christmas. Probably the 27th and 28th. My question is: Do they still have the Osbourne Lights show at the studios for a few days after Christmas? That would be the main reason we would go there since we will be in Florida staying with relatives at that time.

Yes, the lights run a few days past the new year

I have asked the same question and I believe the answer is yes. This past year they were up until January 4th or 5th. There was a rumor that this was the last year for them but I think that is still just a rumor. Let's hope anyway!

When we went last Nov./Dec. we heard it was the last year for them. I didn't see anything on the November schedule this year, so I called last week and spoke with a CM and they said they haven't heard anything either way. I will be SO upset if they took them away!!!!

Oh my gosh, say it isn't so!!!! Why would they take something so popular away....oh wait, we are talking about Disney. Kind of like the chicken at 'Ohana :/

For those curious, the 2014 Pop Warner Cheer competition is December 8th - 12th

That makes me super happy!! We go dec 2-9! This is my first visit with my family- haven't been since I was young! I didn't know about pop warner week when I booked and it was making me nervous!! I am a little worried about crowds at the MSEP and Wishes. It seems if we will be having a ton of teens and pre teens may fill up the parade and firework viewing area. We were thinking if doing the FP+ for the 8pm MSEP viewing area? Then we were thinking of trying to get the Tomorrowland terrace dessert party to watch the 9pm fireworks. Do you think we would have enough time to get from the MSEP viewing area to the dessert party with enough time to get a plate of dessert? I am just thinking that having reserved areas may be a good idea for Mon, Dec 8? I appreciate any advice!! Thx!

Some people say Pop Warner doesn't affect crowd level as much. Not sure if it does but our dates are Dec 6-12. It's all about planning, we went Dec 25- Jan 3 before and managed to stay away from the crowds by planning around them. I was shocked at how much we were able to do and how listening to good advise made the trip so much better!

Great Thread!

Planning for a Dec 14th to 20th trip....waiting for the discounts before taking the plunge.

According to my TA and a bunch of people that I know...Pop Warner groups are usually competing during the day and usually stay in the All Star resorts. From what I've heard, they are minimally disruptive and don't really affect crowd levels during the day. Might have a few rogue cheerleaders doing silly high school girlie stuff at night, though. I've also heard that, for the most part, they seem to be on their semi-best behavior, because if they're not, they could be excluded from other events.

We are scheduled to be at WDW during the time that Pop Warner is there, and I'm not particularly worried.

Does anyone know if you book a Room Only Discount can you add the dining plan? I currently have a package booked with Room, Dining, and Tickets. Based on my dates it looks like Free Dining maybe exculuded (I was hoping for it), if they offer a Room Discount during my dates would they just apply the room discount to the package I already booked or do I need to cancel my current package and re-book for room only and then buy tickets seperataly and pay out of pocket for food? I hope that makes sense. :goodvibes

Joining in!

We are hopefully going to be in the World December 14-21.

We were scheduled to go May 4-11 (yes in 10 days). However, my husband had a mild stroke on April 5 and has had some complications. We are very optimistic that he will be fine and ready to go in December.

Come on free dining!

To any of those looking to fly out of the midwest and more specifically Minneapolis:

I booked through Delta today for $200 :cool1:

YAY! I saw that fare last week when we booked! The times didn't work for us, but we booked a different flight for just a few dollars more. I don't know if it's a glitch or an error or what, but I'm happy we got our tickets so cheaply for this year's trip!
