Would be nice to get a pin code for a room only discount. But alas, that has never happened in 15 years, so one doesn't have much hope for that.

I know how you feel. Never get them. Have a friend that gets them every year. Even her college age daughter that stayed in their room is getting them now. Sometimes I feel a little unloved by Disney....but I keep going back anyway...LOL!

If free dining is offered and we are going to be at staying at a villa that is rented with points, are we eligible?
I'm guessing no, but wanted to double check just in case.

I am pretty sure that you cannot get free dining when staying with DVC points. If that is not the case, someone please correct me.

Can anybody confirm that FD is usually based on the first day of stay even if you stay past the end date. If FD ends on the 20th, but we arrive on the 19th and stay for 7 days, we get FD for the entire stay?

Ok I end some advice I booked a vacation package for my cousin and aunt. 2 separate reservations for 11/30-12/6 now that free dining was announced they want to change their dates to 11/2-11/8 I am gonna call on May 7th when it's open to the public because they don't have disney Visa cards. My question is what time can I call on 5/7 and do I have to call twice? Or can I change both packages at the same time? Thanks any advice would be helpful. They are clueless about disney so I planned their whole trip for them!

I'm really hoping for that! It's just my daughter & I we usually get a better deal with resort discounts vs free dining (not that I'd pass up FD either )

We were planning on a WDW/Universal trip in April, but I just convinced my DW to do December instead if we get a Room only discount. Never been during the winter/Christmas season! I'm looking at December 10-15 right now, which doesn't work for the FD. So...keeping my fingers crossed for 30%. We'll probably stay at AKL or WL.

Officially booked! Dec 13-23 Coronado with FD. I will have to adjust may dates on the front end a little - I don't know yet when dd's band concert is for next year. But oldest dd gets home from college on 12/12 so I figured our earliest date would be 12/13. But I'm so excited!!!!!

Booked two rooms with FD for ASMu Dec 15-19 checking out before the bigger crowds come in. Glad FD fell within out dates.

Not for a few years. It's been the Stay, Play, and Dine discount the past 2 years or a room discount.
