What is the AAA code for Dollar?

I just put AAA in the corporate code box and it came up.

I did a DIS search for Alamo Visa coupon codes and found a post from 2013 on the Disneyland forum with the contract ID and code. I figured I'd give it a try as I had used that combo in the past and to my surprise it still works. When I used it before you had to be a Visa card holder and had to pay with your Visa, but no physical coupon is required (it also stated that in the post). It says it's a Visa Contract ID right on my reservation as well.

We booked a full-size car from Aug.22-Sept.1 and got it down to $220. When I went to check in online before we left it wouldn't let me and it said error occurred please call. Reluctant to call the 877 number I did and was told because I was using a coupon the system won't allow to check in online as I would have to show the coupon. Yeah right like I had a hard coupon.. When we arrived I went up to the counter and the girl that helped me never asked for the coupon (we do have a costco membership) or my costco card and we were off to the parking terminal to pick out the car. But just know if you like doing online check in you might not be able to do it....

Thank you. In the past I've always been able to use the kiosk with coupons, including this one. I can't just go out to the garage, but I've never needed to go to the counter.. just the kiosk.

We have always used the kiosk in the past but this time it wouldn't read my drivers license so I had no choice but to make the dreaded trip to the counter. We've been going to Disney since 95' (min. twice a year) and started with Thrifty/dollar in the beginning then found Alamo using discount codes and made it to National using codes that made it cheaper to rent from them then anyone else. Our previous 10 rentals were from National but this last visit for some reason Alamo was the cheapest. Now for our annual Christmas stay right now with only a corp code and no coupon code National is the cheapest at $499 all in for a Minivan. Everyone else is at $1200 and even just for a full size everyone only gets down to around $550....our dates are Dec.22-Jan.3 so I can't complain as its 13 days.....would like to get it down under $400...I can keep trying and dream....

Rates are still dropping for Thrifty / Dollar .
Using only the AAA code I was at 201 for a full size for 11 days from MCO Early December........now its dropped to 192 .
May have to alter our trip date by 1 night less , and got $165 . for 10 days in a full size from MCO .

I dont think I have ever gotten a rate for a full size as low as that for 10 days ............ever


Does anyone know if you can pick-out your own car with Thrifty / Dollar at MCO ?

I rented from Dollar a few years ago, and can swear we picked our own car ???

Last night I convinced my DH that we should fly down Sunday afternoon (12/21) arriving at 7:50 p.m. instead of the 6:40 a.m. flight Monday morning (12/22) arriving at 10:00 a.m.

When I tried to modify my reservations with Dollar/Thrifty it more than doubled my price(from $300 to $600).

I was able to call Dollar and she was able to modify my reservation at no additional charge since it was still technically one week and one day. Thrifty had no mid-size SUVs available, so he couldn't do it. So I cancelled the Thrifty reservation.

So we now are at $297 for a mid-size SUV for 8 days over Christmas with Dollar. I wish my rate would start dropping like everyone else.

My rates have been steady for well over a week now, but the dates just after me started to drop. If it continues in this pattern, I would keep a close eye on them for the next week or two as the next few weeks should start to drop.

1st off thanks for all the sharing...
I find the car rental companies quote system a joke!
I would put no coupons or codes and get the same price as with the codes... ??

I did however book a mini van for 13 days dec 6-dec19th all in for $460.00 through alamo. I used the costco code and $30 off coupon shared on this thread and the November thread.
Regular pricing was quoting $757.00.
Of course I would like to see this go lower so will follow this thread and if anyone can share it would be greatly appreciated.

Rates for Alamo, Thrifty and Dollar shot through the roof for my dates tonight. They are twice as much as the reservations I am holding.
This is pretty consistent with what I have seen for the last several years of renting cars. I usually get my best price around 6 weeks out. They tend to drop again the week of the trip, but never quite as low as the 6 week mark. So, we'll see what it looks like when it gets closer, but I am pretty happy with what it is now.

I just used this Alamo contract ID 7014926 and a $30 off a weeky rental for 12/6-13 and I got a 7 passenger minivan for $218.26!!! I am so excited! Best rate yet! Actually I think it's the best rate I have EVER gotten on a minivan!

Thank you! You prompted me to check and I just booked a minivan through Alamo for $211 from 12/2-12/8! I am really doing the happy dance now! I used a free day coupon along with the AP discount (Coupon code- AF5365ODH, contract ID - 860292). I'll be getting my AP during this September trip so it should be all good.

What is the code for the $30 off? I wonder if it's a better code than what I have which is for a free day I believe.
