Thanks, I've been doing a lot of reading throughout the Dis and also have read The unofficial guide several times!
Going on the trip is DH, myself and our two DD's (7 and 8). This will be their first trip ever, can't wait!!

WOW Exciting times for sure. I have 2 DD's who started out going at 1&2 yrs old and I know how fun it is to watch them marvel in the wonders of all things Disney ! They are 21 & 22 now and still can't wait for the next trip down!
One thing I always tell people who ask me for WDW advice is to remember it IS going to be crowded (Christmas especially) so you will probably not see evrything so without a doubt just enjoy what you see. Make a list of must do's with some research (let the girls pick some too) and plan accordingly.
One must do is to leave some time for whatever comes up.
Have a great time. Keep asking questions here if you need more advice
Okay so just made a reservation at H&V for Dec 12th. Hoping that Sofia will be there if she is not will cancel this and go to 50's Prime Time. I did H&V a couple of years ago when my girls were 1 and 3 and they liked the characters but this time decided that unless there was a change in the line up this meal was a skip. So I am really hoping that Sofia makes her way there by Dec!!
Just changed our dates from Thanksgiving week to the week before Christmas 12/15-12/21. I am so excited to be there so close to Christmas & with FD. We will be staying at POR in a Royal Room Garden View!!
Just switched our dates from October to Decmeber 14 - 20 at CBR with free DDP. This will be our first trip during December and our first time at CBR. And I also got a bunch of ADR's that I wanted. WooHoo
December 10 - 17 for younger son, hubby and me older son joins us on the 12th. Got the room discount at the Grand Floridan! We always go in September, love the better prices and small crowds. Did go once in April, but had an appendectomy so not much of a trip. REally really excited about Christmas time.
Originally was booked the week of Veterans Day but switched to the first week of December (checking in 11/30) I'm fine with it (extra travel days without taking more time off of work!) but I lost my CRT reservation. Grr. If anyone plans on canceling for 12/1 or 12/2, PM me!
Also waiting to see who the narrator is for Candlelight Processional on 12/3 ... first time going!
All WDW resort pools are heated to 82 degrees - We have swam in December and we've also been absolutely freezing in December! The pools are always open (save for when there is thunder and lightening) so you can swim all year round, you just might not want to. When we were at WL last October my girls went down the water slide a million times while I huddled under an umbrella at a table when it was 65 degrees and POURING rain. Good times!
