Good afternoon guys! We are in a tropical storm warning by me (South FL). Fun times. Just hoping we don't lose power, but have the generator ready if need be. So if come sometime tomorrow into Monday, I am not around here due to loss of power---I will be back as soon as I can to update the Roll Call.

Good luck! I have never experienced anything like that. Only a major earthquake or two!

Double Digit Dance!! Now that summers almost over I don't feel bad saying I any wait for 12/3! I didn't want to wish away my summer but I can't wait to be back at WDW!!

DH and I were trying to finalize our itinerary today and well really didn't get much further than we were before.

12/3 arrive mid-morning. Check in and resort hop. I want to see the hotels on the monorail loop, WL, and Boardwalk & BC. Just have to decide where to have dinner
12/4 relaxing morning an MVMCP at night. Plant to be at MK by 4pm
12/5 maybe start at HS and hop to MK later. No TS plans for this date yet. Maybe breakfast at Kona or dinner Somewhere
12/6 breakfast at Tusker House at 915, AK and maybe HS for Osborne if we don't see it the night before
12/7. Epcot. Dinner at Via Napoli 330 and 645 CP.
12/8. Final stop at DTD and then heading home.

Any feedback is welcome.

My husband has a truck for sale and a guy is supposed to pick it up on Friday so I hope to pay the trip off next week and order our MVMCP tickets. Yay!!

We (DD9 & DH and me) will be there 12/19 -12/26!!! This will be our 1st WDW Christmas. DD and I were there in 2007 during Feb. so the crowds at Christmas may make me crazy, but I can't wait. Last Christmas was too hard, I lost my 35 year old Sister. My only remaining family member and we were so exclusive in our relationship that Christmas for me was horrible :( I'm not traveling down that road again. DD9 and my Sis were soooo close she was my Sis's baby too.

I already feel the Disney Christmas rehab magic working! :). This will be DH 60's 1st time!

So far have ADR Christmas Eve for BG as part of CP dining package and Christmas at GF. I know many of y'all were hoping for BOG ressies and I hope u got them! The menu for BOG didn't appeal to my bunch.

So sorry to hear about your sister. I hope your vacation to Disney brings you and your DD happiness! :goodvibes.

I was lucky enough to get a BOG ressie. It wasn't the night I wanted but I'll take it :thumbsup2. We really love french bistro food so it's a perfect fit for us!

Just booked Pirates and Pals for last night there! Will keep it a surprise from all. We have 4:30 pm BOG reservations and they said to be at Contemp by about 8:15pm...so should even have time for seeing storybook circus in the dark before being kicked out for MVMCP!

Feel like my planning is almost done now! Now for all the second guessing and changes ;)

ksromack -- I think it's a great idea to have the gift cards credited to your account before you shop; I'm stealing that one -- so much better to just have it paid right away.

tofubeast -- Do you have one of those small beach tents? I let my son set ours up in the living room when we are cooped up -- he likes to just play in it, lay on a sleeping bag and watch a movie in there or put a blanket over the front to make a fort. Making cookies takes a bit of time and is lots of fun if you have the ingredients on hand.

Tented -- I'm very sorry to hear about your sister. I've often thought too that I might book a Christmas at Disney if I had a particularly hard loss to deal with; sometimes it's hard to go through the same routine when you are missing one of the people you've lived that routine with so often. I hope the magic helps you to feel a bit better this season.

Houstonmama -- I'm all over the BOG menu too..I love French cuisine. DS (7) looked over the menu - he was not as excited but he found two things he would eat (steak/chicken) and he is just so excited about the restaurant; we love this movie.

Whereabouts are you in NE Ohio? My hubby is from Warren, Ohio. We're doing Universal/IOA for the first two days of our trip too....then checking in at POR on Dec 10th. WWoHP is why we are going there too!

I'm in an east side suburb of Cleveland- moved here a couple of years ago when I returned from Europe because, to be honest, I was bored with western NY (Rochester area)! My D was at school here and the terrific orchestra was a big draw, so it just seemed logical. D has always been a huge HP fan (OK, I am too), so there was no way that we'd miss heading over to Universal for that.:wizard:
How long are you going to be staying?

New discount posted on the Special Offers page...it showed up on my iPhone, but not via my computer. So I had to use the link on my computer (emailed to myself from my iPhone):

http://bookwdw.reservations.disney....mo&promotionCode=fy13q1room&market=fy13q1room

Up to:
20% off room rates for values
25% off room rates for moderates
30% off room rates for deludes
30% off room rates for deluxe villas

And, from what I can tell, it's good even if you do a package. However, it would remove the free dining package, if you got one (one discount per room)

Thanks for posting the special! I'll have to call and have them run the numbers. I suspect I will make out better with free dining given that we are in three rooms at POR but a party of 10!

Doing my Double Digit Dance today!:banana::banana:

Yay!!

Congrats, to both of you.

I'm practically counting down the minutes til I can break out my double digit dancing shoes.

Thanks! Just booked a room for my mom for the first night before we check into OKW. Now to call DVC and see what the room discount looks like and cancel it if it is better. :cool1:

What a night. I thought the storm had moved on out. Last night was rough. Lots of wind and crazy rain. No damage or flooding though in my neighborhood, and we didn't lose power. So happy for that.

On a positive note, DD is still asleep and it 8:37am. This is UNHEARD of. I should have stayed in bed.

Now back to Disney...

Anyone going to watch the live chat about Test Track on the Disney blog today?

Looks like it could be interesting. I was never a fan of TT, so I am curious to see more details about what they are changing etc. Plus, it would be nice to hear if there is a more firm re-opening date (i.e. if all us December folks will be able to ride!)

Thanks for the heads up on this. This is my son's favorite ride in all WDW so I am interested to see what is changing.

Thanks for posting!! Glad something finally came out for everyone waiting for it. FD is better for us since we are staying value. Discount isnt big enough to tempt me into switching to a deluxe. :)

Called this morning and applied the new discount to our reservations. We aren't going on a free dining week so I was happy to see this discount. Didn't save a ton of money but every little bit helps and it was enough to pay for our MVMCP tickets. Woohoo !! 98 days :-)

FD at AoA still comes out as a winner for us as well; even with our upcharge to DxDP added it. We would have to only eat a QS for us to have a savings with the room discount. Hmmm, going from DXDP to just eating QS to save a buck.... Think I will stay with my DxDP!! LOL!
