Argh I am a little bummed. There is a flight outta MCO at 5PM on our depature day. Our flight leaves at 12:30PM. I am not sure if it wasn't available before, or I was just too excited when booking to notice it. Of course, now it would be $300 dollars to change to the later flight. I totally woulda loved to have the later flight so we could have gotten in some more park time, ate lunch, then left for MCO. Right now our schedule is to get up early, have an early breakfast at Boma, and then leave for MCO. :/ Oh well. Would there be anyway that upon our arrival day at MCO ( a week ahead of time) they would know if we could possibly get bumped to the 5PM flight? If we knew ahead of time we could buy the extra day of tickets and maybe even score a decent ADR for that day.

I know what you mean. They changed my mom and MILs flight to a later arrival flight. Now I can't change it to an earlier one with out paying fees... Very frustrating. My mom swears by United but I'll take my southwest flights any day because of the lack of fees (for now :) ) and honestly is it really that bad to change flights that they have to charge fees months out? I can understand even up to 30 days out but honestly....

I don't know. This will be our first time for Fantasmic as well. I did book the Fantasmic package, but I have been itching to drop it and use the credits elsewhere. Hopefuly the more experienced Disney tourers can help :)

I know EXACTLY what you mean.

I look at my ADR's and think "Can I do better?"

I routinely look at the pics from our last trip.

I look at the itinerary, and wonder how much more resort hopping I can do.

I keep putting my name in and going trough the MVMCP "storybook" at the Disney site (love hearing Rusty Cutlass sing).

I'm almost aching to see the Halloween banner ads where Mickey is a vampire, ONLY for the reason that, after Halloween, I love when that 1st snow flake hits his nose and he transforms into Santa.

(siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh) It's come to this.

"Hi everyone. (pause) My name is BDL, and I am a Disney-Christmas-aholic..." :santa:

WHOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!! YES! YES! YES!!!! I saw it...

I was clicking around the Boards, and there it was. Plugging the up to 30% discounts... There was my vampire/Santa transformation.

This just makes the anticipation more exciting.

Now if they will just announce the remaining "gosh dang" narrators for the Candlelight Processional, all will be right with the world.

Amen! I've checked their site 2x already today looking for an updated TBA!

Sooooo..I think nearing double digits has made the wait even more painful. I'm also bugged that I can't plan for the weather. I started going through my fall wardrobe this weekend and kept wondering if I could pack this-and-that for Disney!

I'm not in double digits yet...and I'm going to burst with anticipation.

We went to Fantasmic last December - I think it was December 20 - and we did not have a fantasmic package. I won't lie - it was a bit nuts. But we did it. We got in line probably 30 or so minutes before. We didn't have excellent seats, but we did get in and we got seats and we all enjoyed it.

I too am checking the website every day for a hopeful update to our TBA narrarator... :rolleyes1

I see your Vampire Mickey and I can't wait until that snowflake hits his nose!!! Ok that was a very strange sentence. Only here would it make sense. :santa:

Hi all!

I was looking at the test track link and noticed this one about a new Celebrate the Magic nighttime show at MK; maybe it's only news to me, but I thought I would share.

BDL -- Where did you go to see the MVMCP "storybook" on the Disney site?

Here's the LINK

On the page you can see VIDEO PHOTO STORYBOOK. Click the STORYBOOK then insert the name. :santa:

WARNING though: I haven't been able to get it to work on iPads or tablets. Just PC's and laptops.

PS: You can keep going back to the storybook and change the order in which you see things or they may add something that you didn't see before.

So DS had an insomnia incident last night and I ended up calling in sick. So the one day that I don't check for discounts first thing in the morning... :rolleyes1
So I checked my email right before heading to DS's school orientation around 10am and of course saw the announcement. Of course, I had to stop and call.

Not surprisingly there was no discount available for my 2BDR at BWV. A saved $200 on my split stay 2BDR at AKV though, which was a nice surprise.

After the orientation though I couldn't resist coming home and crunching numbers. A 2BDR Lockoff at BWV is really just a 1BDR + Studio. There are a lot of 1BDRs and they're usually pretty readily available. But the 2BDRs and Studios fill up pretty early. So imagine my surprise when I realized that there were still Studios available. At rack rate a 2BDR is considerably cheaper than the 2 rooms separately. But with discount the separate rooms became $1100 cheaper. It took some family discussions regarding who went where and we'll now need an air mattress for DS10. But I went ahead and separated the rooms.

I have to admit it was a little nerve-wracking letting go of that 2BDR that I've had booked all year, knowing it was pretty much an irrevocable decision. Silly, I know. But anyway, we saved $1300 total and if deeper AP discounts come out next week we're now in a better position to save even more. So I'm really feeling pretty good right now. :thumbsup2

Hi, We will be in my favorite place for our first Christmas at Disney on Dec. 19th - 26th, staying at Port Orleans French Quater.

What a night. I thought the storm had moved on out. Last night was rough. Lots of wind and crazy rain. No damage or flooding though in my neighborhood, and we didn't lose power. So happy for that.

On a positive note, DD is still asleep and it 8:37am. This is UNHEARD of. I should have stayed in bed.

Now back to Disney...

Anyone going to watch the live chat about Test Track on the Disney blog today?

Looks like it could be interesting. I was never a fan of TT, so I am curious to see more details about what they are changing etc. Plus, it would be nice to hear if there is a more firm re-opening date (i.e. if all us December folks will be able to ride!)

Scary storm........they say if it stays on track then New Orleans will be hit exactly 7 years from the date Katrina hit and devastated their city. Mother Nature can be so cruel :(

I'll have to check out the chat for TT. I MUST ride it because I already have my scrapbook page in mind ;) :rotfl2:

Nice number crunching :thumbsup2 Awww, sorry about the whole insomnia thing, my DH suffers from that but its from his 'creative' side, he won't sleep until he's quenched it. Can be days sometimes

TOFUBEAST!!! Glad to hear all is in order and you survived the storm :)
