**December 2012 Roll Call** Holidays, FLE Opening & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

Just out of curiosity, does anybody think there's a chance they might roll out X-Pass in time for the holiday crowds? Since its a peak time and they tested it in May I'm wishin' and hopin' even though there's been no news on it since the tests concluded.

Count us in! We will be there Dec 10-15 at POFQ! And we are doing MVMCP on Dec 11th. We just decided we should do it once and hopefully dh will be chill that night and just go with it. We have done Disney so many times that we are a little more relaxed when we go!

It is still a secret and the kids don't know yet!

We'll be at POR for some of your dates - hello neighbour :teeth:

Welcome to all our new roll-call friends and don't forget to add your name to the MVMCP calendar if you are going ... link is in my siggy :)

Who knows :confused3

However, if I was to hazard a guess I would say January to coincide with when they cut the EMH by 1 hour.

I guess it depends on how they define 'holiday season'

I call up regularly - I like hearing that magical ring when it connects and the holding music ... then I like to tweak ADRs, room ressies it gets me all excited. I think my name is flagged as 'pest' but I can live with that :teeth:

Anyways, I read a while back the ones that would be open for 'holiday season' so have asked (probably) 6 CMs now what they define as the start of 'holiday season'. They have all given the same answer - 31st Oct.

We'll be there Dec 10-17 and are also doing MVMCP on Dec 11th as well. We're in POR although I have a stroll to POFQ food court for beignets planned for at least TWO of our mornings ;) We're also planning on seeing Ye Haa Bob on friday night of our trip!

We are booked Dec 11-14 (free dining...yeay!) for our second stay at Wilderness Lodge....

I work in a public school as a SpEd aide so now I just have to cross my fingers that my principal will be okay with me taking off the time so close to Christmas break...

I was only going to take a Friday off and go 12/7-9 for my daughter's 9th birthday on the 9th but I couldn't pass up free dining!

We already have CRT planned for breakfast on the 13th and I am waiting to see if BOG will be open (probably do a QS for that)...

We are planning to do CP with Jodi Benson (my daughter loves Ariel) but not sure yet if we will do the dinning package as it would use the rest of our TSes...

Oh and as long as there are tickets left, shooting for MVMCP for the 13th too....just need to get paid!

Love Wilderness Lodge during the holiday season, especially! We're doing the CP with Jodi as well, so very excited! I just ordered our MVMCP tickets last friday so I'm anxiously awaiting their arrival in my mailbox. How long does it take for those to arrive? I'm not sure where to put them so I don't lose them :hyper:

So quick question for everyone if I had a 5:45 ADR for the night of the party do you think I could get out before the 7 party??? like at LTT.

I just don't want to eat at like 4pm.

Any ideas if its doable?

I really hope so but there's really been no news. I know I'm one of the few that really wants this, but as someone who uses TPs and uses very few FPs, I think this will work very well for us. Usually we just go ride the biggest thing first, but this year we have the in-laws. Our first park is Epcot. I do want to try to convince them to ride Soarin but not first thing. And the rest of us want to ride TT, but I don't want the first thing to be something they won't ride. And I dont want their first experience to be running for FPs in any if the parks either.

So crossing my fingers.

It probably is, as long as your seated at that time. LTT for dinner is served family style so really there shouldn't be much wait for your food.

Are you looking to attend the MVMCP that night? Or are you just trying to get out of there by 7. If you're not attending the party-don't worry about being out of there by 7. As long as your ADR is before 7 p.m., you're good to go. You may be escorted by a CM out of the park after your ADR and you won't be allowed to linger/shop. I've booked a 6:50 p.m. ADR at LTT on a MVMCP night that we're not attending.

Just received our tickets to MCMCP. I'm not sure where to put them so I don't lose them either but the CM did tell me that if I lost them they would replace them. I am going to copy the letter they are attached to & the backs of the tickets so that I have the numbers - just in case. (Not that I'm overly cautious or anything) :hyper: I can't tell you how long it took to get them because I was out of town and our mail was held.

I have a trip planning binder with my itinerary for each day, confirmation for air travel, lodging accommodations, etc. I have pockets inside for tickets and such.

I would say it will be doable but might be close if you are seated on time. If you are seated late, no.

I'm not sure from your post if you are attending MVMCP or not. What we do on party days is have a TS meal for breakfast or lunch, rest, get to MK around 4 and have CS dinner. That way we can be ready to go when the party starts, or get ready to line up for the special photo ops around 6.

*lol* I know, but I'm determined that this trip will be *relaxing*.

Seriously though, I planned for our first MK day to watch the opening show and then spend about an hour and a half *strolling* down Main Street. We always say we're going to browse, explore, shop, etc. And we never do.

What is the X-Pass???:confused3

It's the new fastpass system supposedly on its way that will allow you to reserve a few ride times in advance. They have done a few tests in the parks, and it is rumored that the new enforcement of FP end times is laying the groundwork for this.

Just know that nearly everything you hear about it is conjecture since nothing has been announced.

Good idea! I have my Disney binder with all my stuff too

Sounds good to me. Just curious-did you ask recently about Be Our Guest reservations?

Haha of course I did :teeth: All CMs are playing the 'we don't know card' on that one. Maybe they don't know :confused3 The only thing I can get out of them is end of August for reservations.
