Well I was kind of having a bad day but came on here and you guys cheered me up! :goodvibes It seems like I will be the only one attending 12/6 MVMCP...good! :rotfl:

We can keep a nice tidy list of MVMCP guests here if you like! Please add your name! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuKRA20FjgSVdGtiTjRXZkNuZEhIZ0hLZERGdUpGUVE

Tofubeast maybe we can add this link to the first few posts??

It won't let me edit/add my name. Do you have the settings to allow people to type into the doc.

We've now decided to leave a day earlier and drive to the Florida border then stop off over-night. That way the next day we can be there before lunchtime. Thought this would be less stressful. I know we're lucky and only have a 8-9hr drive (depending on stops) but in my mind, I can get back to the UK in that time ..... maybe thats why it seems so long  Plus on our arrival day we have EMH at Epcot so we'll be more refreshed.

Not sure if you have a place in mind, but when we drive from Atlanta (Gwinnett County) and don't want to drive all the way to WDW in one day, we stay in Ocala FL. Lots of hotel and restaurant variety there. Takes us about 6 to 7 hours to get there (depending on ATL traffic and stops along the way). Then, the next morning, it's 90 minutes to WDW. If you stop at the GA/FL border, you're still almost 4 hours from WDW. :)

We're in Cherokee County :)

Thanks for that, I will look into it. I've decided the next morning when we leave the hotel I'm gonna put tons of Disney garb on - hat, t-shirt, big Mickey hands - so that when front desk say "I take it you are off to Disney" I can say "no, why?"

:teeth:

 We lived in your neck of the woods for many years (Cobb/Cherokee border! ;)) So your big issue will be what time you leave your house to avoid the ATL traffic! :thumbsup2 Once you get south of Atlanta, it's usually smooth sailing! :goodvibes

Thats where I am now - small world

That ATL traffic is something else - when I moved here 8 yrs ago I was like :scared1: .... I didn't realise you could apply make-up, drink coffee & read the paper whilst driving on the Interstate :rotfl:

Hey Tofu,
Just noticed I am wrong on the list. Arriving 12/15 and staying at CSR. It has changed many times, but I think this one is going to stick!! :)

We have drivers like that up here in Mass, too. It's just that they'd be doing it at 70 mph :drive: .

Hello! We will be traveling to WDW Dec 20th to 30th. We'll be @ AKL-Kidani till the 25th and then we're at Saratoga Springs. We've stayed at AKL before-its our DVC home but never at Saratoga Springs. This is going to be one heck of a trip->We're celebrating two graduations, 4 bday's (including a 1st and a 60th!), our 5th wedding anniversary and our first holiday/first "family" trip. We're bringing both sets of grandparents, an auntie, two uncles and several babies.
DH has visited every 2-3 years since he was five! My first trip was our honeymoon and since this is our 2year old dd's first trip I'll just let you guess when we visited last ;-) Besides dd it is our newbies first trip/first Christmas/just about first bday.
I'd love to hear from/get in touch with anyone who's been with young multiples before. I'm feeling fairly unprepared (maybe even a bit nuts but come on with that much to celebrate was there anywhere else to go?)
I'm excited to have everyone together to share in the magic. I can't wait to see my dd meet some of her favorite characters. But perhaps I am most excited to ride the carousel with her. She loves them, always wants to ride when we see one and I do not think she has ever seen one as big and beautiful as Disney's.

Be sure to schedule a stop at the Florida welcome center for a free drink of fresh oj! It is the highlight to our drive to Orlando, besides arriving is WDW of course!

We drove down last year and I made sure I was driving that part of the trip because I knew DH wouldnt stop. :thumbsup2 Flying this year, so no OJ. But we get there in 2 hours instead of 17. :goodvibes

That's not necessarily true. If you fly JetBlue or some other airline that provides a TV/GPS in the back of the seat in front of you, you can wait til you cross the Florida state line, you can have your own little toast with some OJ, that you get from the attendant.

I've never done it. But it's just a thought.
