No, it's only four that are blocked out right now. Presumably the most popular - Le Cellier, Rose & Crown, Garden Grill and Coral Reef. I booked Tutto as my backup for Le Cellier (I'm not trying for a CP package, just a regular reservation.) No problems there.

We're not doing CP. Is Rose & Crown blocked for lunch and dinner or just dinner? Since we weren't able to do R&C on our last trip, I told DH that he owes it to me this trip. I'd like to do lunch but don't know if it's blocked for that. We're going 11/29-12/8.

I thought with the CP package, you EAT first, THEN catch the performance? That has been my struggle.....we want Le Cellier, which forces us to eat a lunch and attend the 5pm CP....and I was wondering if seeing the CP in the daylight didn't have the impact that seeing the show when it was darker would have?

I don't know. :confused3 I'm new to this. I thought with the middle show that you eat dinner afterwards, and then catch Illuminations, and with the last show you pretty much spill out right into Illuminations. If that was the case, though, how would you get your sticker. Bleh. I need to research some more. Good thing we have another 10 days, I guess!

I am definitely going to get the package, because standing in line for 2 hours is not going to work for my family. Jodi Benson is the narrator for our night, though, so while I know who she is, and my daughter will recognize her voice, I don't imagine people will be wrapping around the Showcase like they would for NPH or Whoopi.

Ok, it looks like in the past you could choose to eat dinner after the show, but that has been done away with. I looked at reviews at www.allears.net, and for a 5pm show, lunch ADR's are around 1'ish, for the 6:45 show, dinner ADR's were around 3:45, and for the 8:15 show, dinner ADR's were around 5:30. I think we will shoot for the last show.

I did read one review that said, based on her narrator, it wasn't really necessary for them to buy the dinner package because there were plenty of seats available, but I don't think we'll chance it. That same reviewer said that the special Illuminations viewing area in and of itself was amazing.

The way I understand it is you pick your show time and date wanted and that will determine what ADR times are available for your restaurant choice.

5pm show ADR times 1:45-2:45
6:45pm show your ADR times are 3:30-4:30
8:15 show 5:00-6pm ADR times

Le Cellier is lunch only and La Hacienda dinner only

I also want Le Cellier so will have to do the 5pm show sunset is 5:29pm so I am concerned to about it being light. I guess it can't be helped:confused3

I'm a newbie here and am trying really hard to resist getting excited this early for our December trip. As of right now we are checking in to POR on Dec 8 but I'm very likely going to change this to Dec 10 if I can get free dining. Hopefully we'll be able to fly in on Dec 9, stay one night at Royal Pacific resort at Universal (visit there for 2-"half days"), then move on over to POR on Monday. As of right now I have the DDP but am paying for it :( I'd rather not :rolleyes1:

Anyway, we haven't been to WDW since 2004 when we brought 4 of our kids.....hubby decided then we would return without them next time. I've been to WDW in December one other time when I stayed with my ex at Wilderness Lodge in 1997 so I am very excited to share the sights with my hubby this year!

Welcome to the Boards ksromack. Looks like we'll be neighbors. I'll be checking in to the POR on 12/7 and there are a few others here that will be staying there during your stay.

So forgive me as I am sure this has already been mentioned somewhere. Is the idea that we can't book any of the restaurants that they are using for the CP packages until they release the CP packages?
I don't know that we will do the Candlelight Processional, but we will want to eat at Tutto and Teppan Edo for sure. I'm just a little confused.

I actually called WDW today to book some special experiences and asked about booking CP and/or when the restaurants would open up.. The CM said "the first week in July".

Ok!!! I put aside a little time today to plan our Disney Trip!!! I'm not finished but I'm getting pretty stinkin' close!!!!

Today I added:

• Harmony Barbershop at 5pm the night we go to MVMCP! This will just be for DD, we are still in the process of trying to grow her hair long, it's still like a "toddler" length, so we only do minor trims every so often. Thought it would be extra fun for her to get a trim in MK!

• Pirates League, 11am on our last park day! We will be having CP for 8:05 breakfast, then I figured we'd mosey on over to that area for the 11am appt! pirate:

I have been thinking about BBB but to be honest, as cute as it is... I think it's overpriced...Barbershop is $15 (for a REAL haircut), Pirates league is $30 for an hours worth of swashbuckling fun. I think we will do our own BBB in our hotel room our first park day and she can wear her Tangled dress. I can probably do better than that slicked back bun anyways. :rotfl:

I'll be there with my husband and 2 kids from Dec. 5-14th. This is my 5th trip and my husband & kids' 2nd trip. First Christmas trip for all of though and we're so excited to be going back!

And another question......where do you view Illuminations from if you have the CP package? Do you have some sort of voucher or ticket for this special viewing area? :confused3:

The Illuminations area...you are there with everyone who wants to go to that area from all 3 CP shows. Standing...several rows back deep...then everyone will be trying to get out of the same area at the same time.

There are much better areas to view Illuminations.

Finally got everything figured out for CP and emailed my request over to IPO this morning. Gave them my 1st choice and 3 backups.

Also sent them probably our 5th revision of ADR requests.

Now, time to wait...

5 days until ADRs.

I was told by the CM June 26th and then if you look at the Disney Blog, they also say June 26th so fingers crossed!! I need to make 2 dinner ressies in Epcot (Fri 7th & Mon 10th) all my other ADRs are done.

Also, I am desperate to find out who the narrator will be for when we plan on doing the CP - Fri 7th.

FINALLY settled on POP. I was trying to hold out for BC, but I figured I could just save the money and splurge on other things. I have never stayed there, but I hear great things!

I also added a day to my trip!! Now going to be Dec 2-7. I am so excited! Now let's get the CP narrators settled for that week :)

Where would you recommend watching Illuminations from? We haven't been there in over 9 years - so any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

I read another poster saying that they had been to 2 different CPs and each one they were 'assigned' an area that was near to the restaurant they went to, I suppose it can change from year to year.

Roll Call:
Me and hubby will be flying in to Orlando on sun Dec 9th but will spend one night at Royal Pacific at Universal. We'll be checking in to POR on Monday Dec 10 for 7 nights! I'm way too excited for this trip!

We booked our room the other day, staying for a week at Pop, December 5-12. Booked a room only for now and our travel agent is keeping an eye out for promotions.
