In the bottom right corner of the post, there's a Quote icon. Click on that and it will quote the text and take you to the reply screen. Just make sure and put your cursor after the last [ /QUOTE ]or else you'll land up quoting in the text, or before it. Then once you get really good at it, you'll learn how to edit inside the quote itself. Or edit only the parts you want to quote. Gets real easy after a while. :thumbsup2

From what I have read on the various disney related blogs out there, Flynn no longer appears for meet and greets. He is just seen in the parade.

.......... and hard ticketed parties (Halloween and Christmas).

We are coming in on December 15th and will be at Art of Animation through the 21st in the Lion King Suites. So excited!! Second December in a row to take a Disney trip. By far my favorite time of year in WDW!!

How are the crowds around that time

I am definitely starting to think where we want to eat. Here is where I am at so far for ADRs.

Tusker House-lunch
Cape May -dinner
Liberty Tavern-lunch (or possibly Be Our Guest)
Kouzzina (possibility)
Akershus (dinner)
50's PT or Mama Mel (dinner possibility)

I deff started to think

Mickey Backyard BBQ
chef mickey
be our guest hopefully
Akershus
1900 park fare "Alice"
scifi
cape may for dinner my fav!

So is anyone else starting to plan their ADR's? Or am i the only one? DW, DSis and I had a meeting yesterday as to where and when. I hope I can them all for us.
You are NOT the only one! As soon as I worked out our dates & how many days each park was going to get, I planned all our meals. I made a list of EVERYWHERE we might want to eat, looked at menus for prices & went from there. Here is my list:

DTD- T-Rex
MK - Breakfast @ Crystal Palace, Dole Whips @ Aloha Isle, Pecos Bills/Cosmic Rays/Be Our Guest
HS - Character Lunch @ Hollywood & Vine (F! pkg.), snacks @ Starring Rolls, Sci-Fi Drive-In
Epcot - Akershus & snacks @ Boulangerie Patisserie
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
Resorts - Whispering Canyon, Chef Mickey's (b-fast), O'hana (dinner), Riverside Mill, and snacks @ Sassagoula Floatworks, & Beaches N' Cream
USIoA-Character Breakfast @ Confisco Grille, Butterbeers @ HP & Comic Strip Cafe
US - NASCAR Cafe & Snacks @ San Francisco Pastry Co.

The first time we went we didn't budget enough for food, so ended up having to skimp. We did not starve, but DH swears we shared a bagel and orange juice for breakfast every morning & fought over how to divide the cream cheese packet! :lmao: So this time, it's all about the food. Sadly, it's the second largest part of our budget, right behind the park tickets & AHEAD of the hotel!

Made us a luggage tag tonight! I will make them two sided and laminate them so they are rigid! I crossed out part of our address and phone number so it wasn't all over the web.

Love these!

Ok, just got off the phone with a cast member, who said that they anticipate the Fantasyland expansions 2013-2014. He said he hasn't heard that Be Our Guest will be open for 2012. There is no soft opening scheduled, no plans to have it on the calendar this year. When I mentioned that the WDW website says Late 2012, he said that it all depends on weather - that's how they base their dates. If there is a hurricane, it'll all get pushed back six months to a year.

That being said, the website DaMouse, who has been taking pics of the expansion, shows many parts already complete. It's possible that Be Our Guest will be open, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I've read so many different posts about when various CMs have projected the opening of this restaurant. I wish we could get some clear information...

On a pin code note, I asked the CM if he had any tips on how to get a pin code (signing up, getting offers on website, surveys, etc.) he said it was completely randomly generated, which explains why some people who've never booked a Disney trip in their lives are getting pincodes. So, I'm still hoping for a little pixie dust and one will magically appear at my door (since there is a pin code currently going around for my vacay dates), but I won't hold my breath on that, either. He also confirmed that all Nov/Dec promotions will be out late summer, so for those of us on watch, we need to be patient. :badpc:

Since this seems to be the trend, I think I'll join in. Now this is just a wish list. With so many variables to account for (MVMCP, CP dining pkg, EMH... ), plus waiting to see if (hope hope HOPE) there will be free dining and still waiting to get input from my group, here's my wish list for TS meals:

Breakfast: Kona Cafe, Tusker House, Crystal Palace, Boma (and maybe Akershus)

Lunch: Le Cellier, Tutto Italia, Raglan Road

Dinner: Rose n Crown and/or Garden Grill (part of the CPDP), Crystal Palace and/or Be Our Guest (pre-MVMCP), Boatwright's

And the snack locations that are a MUST:

Karamelle Kuche, Ghiradelli and I hope to have my 1st ever Dole Whip this trip

After seeing all the ADR ideas, I'm thinking what I should do for food!!! YUM!! Just a poll, How much do you plan for food to cost you? Do you pay OOP? Are you paying for a meal plan?

I've generated some numbers for my family and the dining plans consistently saves us about $15 -$30/day. The Quick Service is $15 savings for us and Regular Dining Plan is about $15 for a "cheaper table service location" or over $30 for a "more expensive location". Even if we have to pay OOP for a couple breakfasts at the hotel, we will still be paying less on a dining plan. I'm thinking Regular Dining Plan may be the way to go. We can hit all the great character meals, take a breather from running commando (this term still cracks me up), and our overall experience will be better I think enjoying 1 meal a day at a table service meal.

OOP doing only counter meals we were still averaging about $100/day so $119/day for Regular Dining Plan (+ tip of course) seems worth it.

And I really shouldn't of wandered over to the DISigners area....Now I drafted a Mousekeeping envelope... :rotfl:

Ok-we all seem to be on the same page, i'm working on dining choices as well.
I like to select restaurant based on our park that day, or our evening plans, so i've been looking at times from 2011 for wishes and park hours...Do you think they'll be pretty similar? with the christmas party at MK, there are 2 nights for us to see wishes on our 6 nights there, and one is too late for us....Just wondering how much the times and day schedule stay consistent historically???

fyi-got a pin for resort yesterday via email! :)

Just in case you missed the Disney news today, looks like December is going to be a GREAT time to visit the World. Pretty awesome!!

Glad to see everyone sharing their ADR choices. We might have a change in plans. D'Sis is going with us. She's had a hard time finding a permanent job. She's been doing most temp work. She may actually have a chance to get a permanent job. So she won't be going with DW and I as long as we had planned. So there will be a change in our ADR plans. DW and I are still going for the full amount of time. Since D'Sis was on a limited budget, there are some places we were hoping to try but decided against them. Now that she may cut her trip short, we may actually get to try them. We'll see how it goes.

Be nice to know exactly when they plan to open the "Be Our Guest Restaurant." Be fun to be one of the first to try it out.

That's cool that they are predicting that Ariel, Under the Seas and Be Our Guest will be open (in theory) by the "holidays". Shame that the mine car ride won't be open til 2014. I'm really looking forward to that.

I agree with the people's opinions of the new vision of Test Track. Looks very TRON-ish. I'm 1/2 expecting that the cars will be replaced by the light bikes (which I think would be AWESOME!)

So I wonder when they will start accepting ADR's for Be Our Guest. I guess when they have a hard opening date? I'm thinking maybe we'll do a lunch or breakfast there on our 2nd MK day, providing it's open in time! :goodvibes
