One more thing, my ARD day is quickly approaching! :yay::scared1: Should I try to book Garden Grill for dinner the night we plan to CP and then switch it when we can book CP package in July? Again, not completely sure how it works...

You can't book Garden Grill at all right now for Dec. It's one of the four restaurants blocked out - along with Le Cellier, Coral Reef and Rose & Crown. You can either just wait until the CP packages (and the regular reservations) are release, probably near the end of July. Or you can book a backup reservation at another restaurant just in case, and cancel later.

How does Fantasmic and Osborne lights work during the Holidays. Do they do both everynight? Are they at the same time?

Osborne Lights is every night during the holidays.

Fantasmic has been every night since before the refurb earlier this year. There has been no indication from Disney how long that will continue or whether they will at some point go back to only a few nights a week like it was last year. You can book Fantasmic packages every night right now, so maybe that's a good sign. Then again, who knows? :confused3

That's good to know. I'm assuming this is only affecting dinner reservations and not lunch.

Awesome!! What resort did you pick?

How fun to celebrate your 21st at WDW!! :woohoo:

We are going with the All Star Movies! I'm really looking forward to going and seeing the decorations at other resorts, but we had to go with a value resort to fit our budget!

Thanks so much for the tip!! I'll make a few back up ARDs and cancel as needed! CP is 2 TS credits, right??

Also, I was going to purchase our MCMCP tickets now, has anyone done the Will Call pick up (as opposed to having tickets shipped)? If I order today, I'll be fine to pick them up the day of the party in December?

TIA!! :goodvibes You guys are awesome!!

We're in the process of looking at flights through SW. We too have enough points for DH and I, and will buy DD with cash. Does anyone know if kids under 3 are cheaper? I'm sure airlines could justify not simply because they do occupy an actual seat.

Airlines charge per seat, no breaks for age... we are in the same position so DH is back and forth on driving or flying.

After seeing the EMH's for Dec., hearing some of the trials people are dealing with on their ADR's, and BDLsgal pointing out, I may be a little too "ambitious", I think, on Day 1, we'll head back to the resort to freshen up before CP. We can do the rides during EMH.

Here's Day 2 & 3 (more details at PTR)

Start off a Animal Kingdom. Post rope-drop Tusker House buffet (after we get our EE fast passes 1st). After breakfast, we'll partake of EE. Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids and hopefully we can get a spot on the safari.

From AK (after we make sure we get corn dogs), we head back to POR to change and then it's off to MGM. Yes... I said MGM. I have always called it MGM. I will always call it MGM. We'll go in and out of all the shops up Hollywood Blvd. Then we have a choice to make. Turn right, to ToT & RnR? Or turn left, towards the interactive shows and Star Tours (funny story about this will be at the bottom). I vote ToT and RnR, grab a CS meal and (depending on lines) either Movie Ride or Star Tours. I say "either" because I want us to be able to squat an area for the Osbourne Lights. If you don't have a defensive perimeter set up, you could be over run. But then come the lights and everything is right with the world. After we're done here, off to POR, get a late dinner at Boatwright's and cap the night with Yee Haw Bob.

Day 3

Leisure day. Wake up... whenever. Head to Polynesian for kick*** breakfast and coffee at Kona Cafe (Tonga toast and macadamia pancakes all around). Then it's riding the monorail to take in the decorations at the resorts. Back to POR to rest and change, then to MK for an early supper and MVMCP. 1) Make sure we catch the stage show and Castle lighting. 2) Skip the first parade and ride as many E-tickets as possible. 3) Watch Wishes. 4) Buy all the MVMCP gear we can carry. 5) Squeeze as many rides as we can before the 2nd parade and then watch the 2nd parade. 6) Do what ever we want. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...

Stay tuned for days 4 & 5

Funny story:

Since we decided to go on this trip, BDLsgal has insisted that the first thing we do when we get to MGM is ride the new Star Tours. It was closed our last trip and she felt bad for me that I didn't get to ride it. Last night she was reading the expanded version of this on our PTR. She gets to this point...

"Once we make it to the corner of Hollywood and Sunset, this is where a decision HAS to be made. Do we turn right and head towards the Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollercoaster? Or do we turn left for the interactive shows and the new Star Tours?"

And stops, turns and looks at me. "No. We are going to do Star Tours first. You felt so bad that you didn't get to ride it last time. I want you to get your chance." I tell her to keep reading. She starts reading aloud, "BDLsgal keeps saying that the 1st thing we should do at MGM is Star Tours, because it was closed during our trip, and she saw how much I missed it."

We both laughed out loud and BDLsgal looked cute with a hint of a blush coming.

Hey all! We are coming to the house of mouse from December 2 - 8 before heading on a Disney cruise!:cool1:
It will be me, DH, DS 13, DS 13 (yup, twins!) and my parents. We are staying at BWV.
We did December at Disney in 2010 and loved it! Especially the Candelight Processional. We always book a Dinner Package. We are also doing the MVMCP. So fun! :santa:

We have 3 rooms at AoA booked starting November 29-December 5 (check out).
This will be my kids, as well as, my step childrens' first time at Disney.
Myself, Husband, Mother, Father, Mother-in-law, Father-in-law, Stepdaughter (13), Stepson (10), Stepdaughter (8), Daughter (4), & Daughter (2). Thank God for free dining PIN codes! Saved us tons!!

We are in!! We had originally been planning for Feb 2013, but hubby decided to sit this trip out and it will just be myself, my mom, and both kiddos! So since we don't have to take hubby's work schedule into consideration, we are moving to Nov-Dec! Our dates begin in Nov, but we'll be there through Dec.

Nov 26-Dec 5 at Art of Animation!

PTR here: First Trip, 59 Years In The Making!!

PTR is a little lonely, but I'm working on it!

Please add us to the list! We arrive at the Poly on 12/4. We are Texans looking forward to COOL weather (hopefully COLD!) :rolleyes1 Our last trip was Thanksgiving 2010 & we missed the Candlelight Processional AND the Osbourne lights. I am thrilled (beyond words) to witness these two events/displays. :goodvibes
Just reminding you :goodvibes

Hi WeHEARTmickey! Thanks for the info! I've never been to DW so all the info really helps. It's going to feel odd doing things at night...we are usually morning people, not by choice but because of the kiddos!!

Uhmm off topic but I see you've been to Destin? My in-laws are constantly bugging, I mean suggesting :), we go there. How do you like it? We usually hit South Padre because imo it's the best beach in Texas and the drive isn't THAT bad. The prices have gotten a little out of hand...it's the gulf of Mexico not the Caribbean people! Whats the water like in Destin? Is it blue or that brown water we get here at our Texas beaches??
Oh my goodness, we would never drive to SPI b/c it would take as long as Pensacola or Destin! We just love the "feeling" we get, being in Florida  We will be heading back to Pensacola in a couple of months (even though we're not going on to WDW) and it's just amazingly beautiful! We've only been to Destin 1 time & decided not to do it again, because it didn't cut our drive time to WDW down any further than Pensacola. My BIL & SIL absolutely LOVE Destin. He's a big fisherman, so he couldn't get enough of Destin. I will say Florida panhandle beaches are UNREAL. The sand is literally white & the water is a beautiful blue/emerald green. It's breathtaking! NOTHING like what we're used to in TX. :sad2: You should give it a try...you'll be hooked! If you can go in the off-season, you'll save a fortune. I've also heard great things about Gulf Shores, AL, which is very close to Pensacola.

We will be arriving Friday December 7, 2012 for our wedding and honeymoon! We will be staying 4 nights at Grand Floridian and 3 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge!!! We are so excited!!!!!!
