Welcome aboard...

Make sure you video the kids' reactions. Could get you $10k on AFV. And God knows that everyone on here will get a kick out of it.

:rotfl2:

Very very true. And if you win, AFV, BDL will ask for a portion of the wins for his suggestion. ;)

BTW, this is our 500th post on this thread!! How many will we have come December? After all, it is ONLY 7 months away.

I would never be so bold as to ask for a %. However... If they won, I would not be averse to having my MVMCP tickets paid for and/or a full spread dinner at Le Cellier... ;)

Only fitting that you got the 500th post. You've done a great job maintaining this thread. Have you given any thought to starting a "Cancelled ADR" thread in June (the month that we can all start making ADR's). There was 1 that I subscribed to in 2010.

A full dinner spread at Le Cellier would be very, very nice. I love that place, though we will be skipping it this trip due to bringing a toddler. So that 'frees' up one ADR..hahahah I don't think I will have time to do a cancelled ADR thread, but me thinks you would be great for the job! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the kind words about this thread.

Is this emoticon new? :bitelip: I like him. A little freaky. This looks like the face I make when making ADRs. As I have a DVC ressie, I won't be able to book 180+10 online. Grr. There are problems with the online system recognizing dvc ressies, so I have to do it either over the phone, to get the +10, or day by day online. So I will be 'old school' and call Dining, but I will certainly be making this face ---> :bitelip:

Dec 2nd - 7th AKL !! IF they come out with a free dining offer for our dates we will change ressie to BC. We went in Dec 2010 (same dates) and it has been our favorite time of the year to visit the world!! Love the Christmas decorations!

Okay working on a tentative plan and wanted some opinions to help decide which day we should do MVMCP. This is all of ours first visits, we are typically morning people and will be celebrating my daughters 5th bday on the 12th. We have deluxe dining and park hoppers.

Arriving Monday the 10th (casual visit to MK once we get settled)
Tuesday the 11th Magic Kingdom (possible day for MVMCP)
Wednesday the 12th Epcot (bday supper at Askershus)
Thursday the 13th Animal Kingdom (possible day for MVMCP)
Friday the 14th Hollywood Studios ( do not want to do the party on a friday)
Saturday the 15th whatever kiddo/husband wants to see again
Sunday the 16th casual morning visit probably MK or Epcot leave late afternoon

I'm wondering if if would be better to do the party on the same day as our main day at MK or on our Animal Kingdom day. Either way before the party we will probably be doing a midday break back at the resort. I'm just wondering if b/c the 11th is going to be our first full day if we are going to be toast and won't enjoy the party or not. I know this is different for everyone but was just looking for other peoples opinions. Once I figure out the party date then I'm going to hammer out aDR's. LOL well sort of until the release park hours then I'm sure I'll be moving things around.

Also going to Magic Kingdom on the 11th is a must for daughter.

Just laughing because I am going same dates (roughly) and have some of the same tentative plans as you, such as possible party on Tues and Akershus on Wed. ;)

I posted on a few places asking about the 11th or 13th dates for MVMCP, and responses have steered me towards the 11th. I wasn't sure if AP/DVC discounts would drive up crowds, but people have reminded me there is a reason that Disney offers discounts on certain dates. So I might as well take advantage of having an AP and getting a discount.

For the days I am in the parks, I am planning to go with EasyWDW's suggestions. His suggestions should come out in a few weeks, shortly after hours are released. I have also been looking at his suggestions from the same time period as last year. You are very 'heavy' with MK at the beginning of your stay, so maybe hit up a different park the first day? Just a thought. Also doing MK and then the party in one day might be a bit much. I would maybe start the day at another park, take a nice break, and then enter MK at 4pm (the soonest you can for party ticket holders).

I'd do MVMCP on your AK day. Depending on what you do for lunch, and whether you do the safari or not, you could probably tackle most of AK in 1/2 a day. And even though MVMCP will let you in at 4pm with your hard ticket, the events don't start until 7pm. And anything you missed or want to do again, at AK, you can do on your "whatever kiddo/husband wants to see again" day.

Thanks for the input. So many scenarios lol! :bitelip::teacher: Good thing we still have 7 months to hammer it out. :badpc:

I am happy to say that we are planning to head to WDW from 12/4 to 12/8 of this year for our 10 YEAR wedding anniversary  . DH and I will be heading to the world alone!! All though our boys are not going to be happy that they won't be coming along on this trip:furious:. We have not booked yet, I am hoping to get a good pin code (been on the wdw site and saving vacations...) before we book our reservation. Right now we are looking to stay at POP (a first for us) and having the DDP. Our anniversary is 12/7 and we are trying to figure out where to have a NICE dinner that night. Looking forward to hearing everyone adventures as we get ready to head "home"

I take back my previous statement...

THIS revealing is the 1 that I want to see caught on film.

"Hey boys, guess what... We're going to Disney World. No, not all of us 'we'. Me and dad 'we'. We'll bring you back something nice."

Can you envision the post revelation expressions? I see the face melting scene at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. :furious:

Sweet!! let me know if you want me to add you to the roll call or wait till your plans are finalized. Hoping you get an awesome pin code.

Regarding a nice anniversary dinner---
Victoria and Alberts, Narcoossee's, Citricos, California Grill (watch fireworks from there!), Le Cellier... There are a ton of nice places at the World to toast yourselves!

I can't believe I said this last night.... "I can't wait till our trip, I want to book a bounce back offer for next year!" :rotfl2:

We will be going Nov 28- Dec 3, styingt BWI

I have said the same thing to my DH. I will definitely crunch the numbers before we go so I know if we can or can't do bounceback.

If the Disney stars align, I'd love to go back next fall for the Halloween festivities.

Who knows, even without a bounceback we may go anyway. And if that's the case, I need to look into converting our tickets to APs while we are there in December.....if the numbers work in our favor to do that. And if we do convert, then we will be obligated to go. :)

We were there in March and did not book the BB offer as we decided to wait and return in 2013, so here I am now wishing for a pin or GP Offer.

That's my fear - That we pass on the BB offer and then regret it. Unfortunatley you don't get a do over on that one. But I'm thinking if the BB dates can work with our schedules, we'll do it.

However, I don't need to get ahead of myself here. I need to get this December trip planned before I plan for Oct 2013.

Here's some pin pixie dust coming your way. pixiedust:

I hope you are fortunate enough to get one. We are one of the lucky pin code recipients. We were going to go this year regardless, but it's nice to save some $.

Historically what are some offer they use to get you to Bounceback? I figure 30% off Room of Free Dining and I'd sign up, no problem.

For those that have been in the fall and winter before... what is the differences between traveling around Halloween or Early December? Weather? Crowds? Halloween Dec vs. Christmas Dec?

Oh you are not alone. I already told hubby I want to celebrate DD 3rd birthday next August! She will be "free" again and we missed out on so much our last trip due to the dreaded Norovirus! That hospitalized one of our family memebers! Plus we have only gone during December so I would liket go during the summer....:stir::rotfl2:

Here's something that I only got ot enjoy at a distance. Hopefully, I'll be able to dedicate some real time to it this trip. That is JOYFUL! featuring D'vine Voices. They perform at EPCOT during the Christmas season and you can hear them as far away as Mexico and Canada in the World Pavillion.

You can find parts 2 & 3 at the site as well. Thank you to allears for posting it.

DH and I will be at POR 12/11 through 12/18!!!!!! We are "bouncing back" from our trip last month!!!! So happy and grateful to be going twice in one year!!!!!! I can't believe it!!! :)
