Myself and DH (Anonymouseguy) will be arriving December 29 (departing 2 Jan). We are staying for the first time at the GF. I have been to WDW many times in early December and attended MVMCP once (when they still offered Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas--which I loved and miss).

Here's what I found out ...

All their information lists the 6th Dec as opening, she did not know where the 3rd Dec came from so, she would assume, it was an opening date for the CM's. All new attractions/resorts/restaurants open earlier for the CMs to test-run it first.

As for reservation start date, she said 28th Aug is not set in stone, its a guideline date so she suggested to start calling in the 3rd week of Aug and ask if their information had been updated yet.

When ressies go live, we will be able to book at 6am online, it will not go live via phones first as some have been suggesting.

So, we're still totally in the dark with varying different information

Thanks. I am not even so disappointed about missing the Fantasyland expansion since we go to DLand and been on the similar mermaid ride. Oh well.

I did make an ADR at Coral Reef as a substitution for a nice dinner. I think my son will really like it.

Well, you still may eat there - you know how CMs can be wrong. I just find it frustrating that we are all getting different info. In my mind it would make sense to open it before the 6th, they need to iron the kinks out. They certainly wouldn't want anything going wrong on the 'official' opening.

I am excited all the Ariel stuff will be opened, she is my favorite Disney princess. Also the little mermaid is my favorite movie. It sounds like bog will be very congested and I don't mind waiting till future trips to eat there.

Has anyone been to mvmcp I have cape may ADR at 5 so probably will get to the party around 6:30 were fast eaters , how long are the character meet as greet lines? Can guest assistance pass be used for attractions at the party?
What time does it last till?

Oh my gosh, so true and reminds me that at Disneyland sometimes you don't know the exact hours of the park until you check into the hotel.

1. Can't help with the gac question, sorry.

2. Party hours are 7pm-midnight

3. I would not eat TS after 4-4:30 on a party night, especially one out of the park. Although the party starts at 7, you can enter MK as early as 4 with just the party ticket. We usually get there around 4, eat CS and be ready to line up for the special photos at 6.

4. Special character appearances like the seven dwarfs and the princes have long lines all night. We line up early so we don't spend premium party time in line.

joining and switching over from Nov... we were set for the soft openings but with 2 very princess'y little girls we decided to make a sure thing of all FLE openings... dec 15-21 WL & POP split stay but that may be altered to include AofA instead I'm soooo excited though this is our fam's first holiday trip!!!

I would assume GAC works the same. If Disney acknowledged a disability or special need and then didn't honor it consistently, they'd be opening themselves to a lawsuit. But you could ask on the DISabilities forum to be sure.

Hello everyone!!! New job = NO TIME FOR DISBOARDS!

Anyways, I'm excited the FLE will be opening while we are there, actually on our MVMCP day! Maybe we'll take advantage of everyone being at the party and sneak away to explore it. My plans/ADRs are the same (imagine??!!), I don't anticipate needing to change it any further, it seems pretty perfect to me!

I need to apologize in advance, I want to stay involved with this board but don't have much time, so pardon me just popping in here and there and not being able to follow all the conversation.

Were you able to order your tickets for the 6th online? It looks like I should be able to preorder for that date but when I tried to it wouldnt let me. I wonder if they changed it now that they have announced the 6th as the opening of the new FantasyLand?

I ordered my 12/6 MVMCP tickets the morning they announced MVMCP dates, before they new what day they were opening FLE.

I ordered mine the day they announced the grand opening. We were planning on going on 12/6 before the announcment. Despite what others say I do not think things will be as crazy as some think. I am now thinking about adding a second MVMCP night the following week so I can see everything the party offers. The big question is whether or not FLE will be open during MVMCP.
