I am so excited to be introducing the wonderful world of disney to my brother and his wife, their two boys, and my brother's in-laws. Also, my son-in-law of two years is coming along on our family extravaganza. The rest of the party includes my mother (76), my three daughters (31, 28, 21) and my son (26)! A total of 13! We are staying at POFQ from December 13-December 22. We have been to Disney 2 to 3 times now during December and we LOVE it!!!! The weather suits us to a tee! The decorations and atmosphere add such a special experience that we just can't wait to finally be able to spread the joy to others who have heard about it from us for ages but have never been able to experience it until this year!

That sounds awesome! We're introducing my husband's parents to Disney this trip as well. It'll be our first time at the holidays.

That sounds great. A big group, family no less, and you'll all be there for an extended time. I'm sure they'll all be Disney-aholics by the time the trip is over. In fact, I bet $10 that at least 1 person will come back with plans of a return trip.

$10? I would go as high as $500 if I were a betting woman. Which I am not so don't hold me to this post come the end of December!!

Saw a restaurant review thread of somebody's trip, and they talked about having a great time at the Garden Tea Room at the Grand Floridian, and once we heard about that the girls and I had to make an ADR!

Turns out there's an online glitch, so if you try to make an ADR online, it won't show any available reservations. But when I called the dining line, there were plenty of spots.

So Dec 5, we'll be having scones and clotted cream and fancy tea at the GF!

do you know if the tea room would be okay for a almost 8 year old; we are going in March for a couple days and thought it would be fun for her Grandma and myself. Kate loves to play tea party.

Hope you enjoy it! DD and I did it on our mother/daughter trip in March and I really enjoyed it. I think she enjoyed it too, but not as much as I did. She wanted tea so I let her order one and she didn't really like it that much. I think she would have been happier with chocolate milk. But she loved the strawberries and cream and I really enjoyed the tea sandwiches. We had a table by the window with a pretty view of the grounds. I would love to do it again sometime.

We did the tea at the GF when our granddaughter was 5 - she loved it. There were girls of all ages there and all seemed to enjoy it - the other girl at our table was 10 and she loved it too.

I'm already getting ahead of our current vacation... Not sure if we wanna try MNSSHP for October 2013 or go back for MVMCP in December 2013! We want to rent DVC points so I need to book about 11 months out! Either AKL Studio or BWV Studio.... oh the decisions!!! Hmmm!!!

I just realized I've been following along but never asked to be added to the list. We are arriving Nov. 29, staying through Dec. 10. Staying at POFQ. Trip is me, DH and DD4.

We went at the exact same time last year and stayed at Pop. Loved Pop and would happily stay there again but when free dining rates came out it was only around $500 to upgrade to POFQ and the queen beds sold us on the upgrade!

And Tofubeast, you do a GREAT job keeping this updated and with the links and updated info in the first couple posts. Thank you for your effort!!!
