do you know if the tea room would be okay for a almost 8 year old; we are going in March for a couple days and thought it would be fun for her Grandma and myself. Kate loves to play tea party.

She should be ok. Allears.net has the menu for the Afternoon Tea (which starts at 2 pm on) and the different choices available. Here's the link http://allears.net/menu/menu_gft.htm.

If you decide to do it, you will need to call Disney directly to make the reservation as the online system from their web site will only show as no availability. Also, they are not participating on the DDP so it will be an OOP expense.

I made ADRs for my mom and I for December 7.

I just realized I've been following along but never asked to be added to the list. We are arriving Nov. 29, staying through Dec. 10. Staying at POFQ. Trip is me, DH and DD4.

We went at the exact same time last year and stayed at Pop. Loved Pop and would happily stay there again but when free dining rates came out it was only around $500 to upgrade to POFQ and the queen beds sold us on the upgrade!

And Tofubeast, you do a GREAT job keeping this updated and with the links and updated info in the first couple posts. Thank you for your effort!!!

We're arriving the same day and staying at CBR until 12/8. First time for DS10 and I staying at a moderate. For DH, this would be his second time, last time it was for business. We can't wait to go.

Just booked my annual December trip. Going this year December 10-17. Last 3 years I stayed at one of the All Star resorts. This year to save some money I'm staying off-site. First place I booked was for under $40 a night now I see why. It was a Days Inn next door to a correctional facility. Two reviews of note "A pimp was standing outside a room where prostitutes were at work (I can only imagine with plural prostitutes what was going on in that roon) and another "Employees were smoking pot outside our room". Thank God for full refundable reservations. I researched and got a room for $45 a night at the Monumental Movieland Hotel near Universal.

I hope so! We're taking my DGF's DD7. :goodvibes There's a kids menu, and (on another thread) someone said their kid had a great time even though she wish she'd ordered chocolate milk instead of tea.;)

We did the tea at the GF when our granddaughter was 5 - she loved it. There were girls of all ages there and all seemed to enjoy it - the other girl at our table was 10 and she loved it too. :)
Thanks for letting us know about your experience! I'm a bit of a foodie, so I'm mostly about the food, but there is something so fun about the atmosphere, too. Makes me wish I had a DD, too (just not enough to go through another pregnancy and diaper stage again lol).

I've decided I will only add people to the Roll Call if their trip starts the 19th or 31st. The weirdo in me is perturbed that these 2 dates are still left blank!!!
;)

I will ask DH if he would mind if we check out on the 14th as planned and check in again on the 19th and again on the 31st. I'll tell him we can't let a fellow dis member be perturbed. It's the least we can do. ;) :lmao:

Send a PM to everyone checking in on the 20th and tell them someone needs to add a day to their trip. :thumbsup2 For the 31st, I guess you would need to recruit someone from the Jan 2013 thread. :rotfl2:

Ok now I am laughing at myself. It didn't even occur to me at first that someone checking in on the 18th or 30th could move their trip back a day. It is so much better to add a Disney day than to take one away. :lmao:

Maddie's Nana and Valgoof, thank you for looking after my needs and offering ideas to fix my state of perturb'idness. haha

BTW: We have 299 Happy December Haunts on our Roll Call, but there's always room for ONE MORE!

Should we make a pool, with everyone guessing the total number we get on the roll call by October 17th (45 days prior to December 1st)?

I'd even volunteer a $25 Disney Gift Card as a prize for the winner :D.

I haven't been on here in a while, and this is basically a shameless ticker check. I JUST BOOKED OUR FIRST EVER CRUISE! :cheer2: (And it's just DH & me) :love2: Okay, I'm finished now. Just had to share my excitement! Carry on... :rotfl2:

Go you!! Congrats, y'all will love it! :goodvibes

I know the feeling. We just booked a cruise today for 65 days from now. They were running such fantastic specials on the Pixar California Coast cruises we couldn't resist! ($65/day per adult $48/day for DS5!! Insanity!) Now I have to go update my ticker ... :cool1:

Jeff says sorry we can't switch we already have airfare purchased.

Ohhh I'm game!!! We actually have 298 currently on the roll call. I had someone on here listed twice. <Bad Roll Caller, Bad Roll Caller> :crazy2:

Also, I am just a little boastful that I think we will have the biggest thread (most posts and views) vs. all the rest come December. tee hee

So I might be adding more family to my trip! Does anyone have any experience with adding 2 people to an existing reservation? All my reservations are booked with 4 adults and 2 kids (3 & 18 mos) at time of travel. Do you think they could be walk ups at places like Ohana, chef mickeys where I know we have the empty seats to fill? I know CRT and Le Cellier would be a different story....
