December 2011 Code Watch!

Ok, so the Pin Codes that come out (like the 30% discount) are for room only. What if you have want to book a "package" - room, DDP & tickets. Can you use the discount for the room portion? Or will Disney not let you do that?

We are on a room only PIN discount but booked a package. They discount the room portion and then add the dining and tickets on to that amount. So it's doable. :thumbsup2

Question from someone who has never gotten a PIN (oh the optimism!):

If a PIN is good through 12/22 as someone mentioned above, does that mean that's literally the last day, or would it work throughout your stay provided your stay began on or before 12/22? Not sure if I'm asking this clearly or not, so forgive me if I'm confusing anyone!

We are currently booked to arrive on Christmas - we're going to tell the boys that morning when they wake up and then hit the road. But if a deal were to become available, we could change our "reveal" plans to shift our trip back a couple of days...

That's what I did, an entire package, they only discounted me the 20% off the room. They still allowed me to add DDP and tickets.

Typically if it's free dining then as long as you check-in on 12/22 then you would get free dining for your entire stay. That said, this promo seems to be for a room discount so it would only be good up until 12/22 - that would be the only night that would benefit from the discount.

This has been both ways. The last day to use the discount can be the last day of the deal. As the other poster stated it can also be as long as you start your trip before the expiration date they will honor the deal throughout your whole stay ususally up to 14 days, but it has also been up to 10 days.

This varies and usually necessitates a call to a CM in reservations. As more and more people use the code we will have more understanding on the all the details.

That's what I was hoping for! Thanks! Looks like I need to call Disney to find out if we have that code and if so when does it expire. 30% discount is a lot better than the restrictive one I received. It will definately help my brother out on the cost.

I wanted to share..I also got the offer via email about an enchanting disney deal..it said values and has two options. WELL I called and got a discount for the Poly. Originally 4224.00 for 6 nights with passes now 2800.00 add on insurance and tax still 3090.00. Big difference. The catch is no refund on downpayment if u cancel but if you have insurance you can cancel if applicable with insurance rules. Also no modifications. Still a great price discount.

That is a great deal! Good for you!

and we, 3 adults, are staying offsite for our December trip. I'll be 4 miles away in a 2BR suite which has three beds and two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a small living room. We are driving down; so, this works out for us. I don't need to be on-site for Disney transportation. It's the equivalent cost to a moderate. We get a hot breakfast included which is eggs and sausage and so forth. There's a mid-week evening reception, too for 3 nights/week.

I received a 30% off pincode, resort room rate discount for Disney and with paying full price for a dining plan I won't do it. If I have to do OOP for Disney meals, I might as well stay off site and eat cheaper elsewhere. We stay at POP usually and the 30% off is not enough to convince me to stay on Disney property. If free dining comes along I can change my mind, but I just doubt that free dining is going to be offered this December.

I have stayed on Disney property for at least 20 trips and it's time to break the trend. I'm not a believer anymore.

Good luck to all for pincodes!

For what it's worth - have some friends who did this a couple of weeks ago and still had a great time! :thumbsup2 They loved the extra space they had, the mobility to do 'whatever' and not feel obligated to do all things Disney! Have a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

I was on villadirect's website the other day pricing a condo! We stayed at one in Windsor Hills before we became onsite junkies a few years ago. But without free dining, everything is up for debate!

If FD doesn't come out, we'll be switching to offsite as well. A room discount doesn't cut it for us as I prefer the ASMu suites for the space & wouldn't want to fork out the money for a villa.

I have a few priced out, just waiting a bit longer before I make the switch.

I don't think we'll see anything until at least the end of next week - it's usually after the 4th of July. Also the current PIN "lottery" offers expire July 7th.
Typically the discount goes to Disney Visa Card holders on a Thursday and then it's released to the general public on the following Monday.

Thanks for the info, I'll check back next week. Here's hoping......

That's logical.. which would suggest a new public offer around the 12th...

One interesting aspect, is the slim possibility that the new offer could extend into 2012. As 2012 prices are already out, it is theoretically possible they could offer discounts early. Last year, the announced 2012 pricing in early August, and announced wide ranging discounts 2 weeks later.
If they want to continue to encourage early booking, it is *possible* they may again release 2012 discounts "early."
At least I'm hoping... not that I expect it to happen though.
