We used to live in Pittsburgh and now live in SC too, and we'll be at POFQ during those same dates! How funny!!

We live in Myrtle Beach. How bout you?? We made our 1st trip last year with our 5 year old son and I think we liked it more than he did. So looking forward to going at Christmas!!!

What is a meet and tree swap?

We're in Charleston Are you driving too? Maybe we'll see you on the road! We normally go in the summer since I'm a teacher, but we got a 35% off PIN code, so Christmas won this year!!

We are driving down. How did you get your 35% off pin?? My in-laws get them on my email but I never do. I called and complained but it hasn't helped. They said I can't use them because they are addressed to them and not me. I get all other kinds of promotions but not discounts for WDW.

What is a meet and tree swap?

A meet is a bunch is Dis'ers getting together, for a chat, and a coffee, or a drink, or an ice cream etc. and get to know the folks you chat with on the Disboards, if you are all at WDW at the same time.

A Tree Swap, usually starts around Thanksgiving. Some kind person will buy or bring an artifical Christmas tree to decorate their room during their holiday stay and when they leave; they will pass it on to another person staying at the same resort, and so it goes on until New Years.

Both are great fun

I got it in my email. Last summer before we went there was a 'rumor' on here about ways to register on wdw.com to get a PIN sent to you. I opened a new email address account and followed the directions and I've received 3 different PINS since then (but since I'm a teacher, this is the first one that's been valid during a time of year we can go! ) Unfortunately, after a lot of us went through this process, wdw.com changed the My Vacation section we had registered in and you can't do it anymore.

We'll be at Old Key West, December 8- 15! It's my daughter's second trip and our first trip to Disney during Christmastime in 10+ years! I can't wait!

I do not know how to determine which resorts you are staying at on which dates by your post. Please clue me in on how I am supposed to determine that!!

bytheblood - Would you be so kind as to switch us from the Contemporary to POFQ from December 18-22, 2011. Had to scale back a little. Thanks so much.

I made the change. This is my favorite moderate resort.

We'll be at POFQ from 12/14 - 12/27. With all the times we've been - this will be our first time being there at Christmas. We're so EXCITED! lol

Yesterday, my countdown sticky on my laptop, read "199 days till WDW". I squealed I was so excited it was finally below 200.

So, I've started making plans for our trip Dec. 9-16, but the park hours are not published on the website. I've found them elsewhere online...but, I don't know if it's reliable information?

I'd like to share my tentative plans and get any input from the very knowledgeable DIS-ember travelers...

AKL Fri - Travel arriving in time for dinner - DTD, House of Blues (w/GC)

AKL Sat - AK - thinking Mara Bkfst, Flame Tree Lunch, Dinner (? Help!...MK is open until 10pm...don't love MK food...already planning Ohana's...maybe something at GF...)

AKL Sun - Epcot: Mara Bkfst, CS Lunch, Candlelight Processional DP - hoping Chefs de France
maybe HS EMH - does F! play on EMH nights?

AKL Mon - AK EMH am (? Will we need to go on 2 days...): Mara Bkfst, CS Lunch, Ohana Dinner
MK open until 11pm

BCV Tues - Bkfst @ Market, Epcot EMH, Lunch CS
HS Dinner Mama Melrose F! Dinner Package (? might go on Sun)

BCV Wed - Market, Bkfst, CS Lunch, rest, relax, DTD, Pool, etc... MCMCP - Crystal Palace Dinner

BCV Thur - No Park Day (?) Pool hop/resort hop - Dinner at Cali Grill watching Wishes (hopefully)

Check Out Fri - Travel - flight leaving at 5pm, bum around BC pool (if warm enough), DTD or resorts. Lunch @ ?

We will have 4 day military park hoppers (assuming the new ones are available by this time) and then will also have the 1 day MVMCP tix...Any help is appreciated! It seems like we're a little front loaded right now - but, it's based on when EMHs are per allthingsmouse...and any recommendations on food are cheerfully welcomed!

We decided today to change our WDW vacation from Thanksgiving to Christmas! Planning on December 18-26 at Pop Century. This is a huge deal since we are breaking a million family traditions but looking forward to our family of four having new traditions.

I will be staying at OKW December 12th-14th.
I'm very much a Disney veteran, but this will be my first time enjoying the Christmas season there and I can't wait! BTW, if you hear about someone caught taking a bite out of the giant gingerbread house at GF, that will probably be me...
