December 2010--Who's planning already?!

Hi! We are Disney newbies and planning a trip for Nov 27-Dec 4 2010. So if I am understanding right we can book now and then apply discounts later if they come available?? Thanks for any help.

Oh and we are planning on staying at Port Orleans Riverside because we are a family of 5.

That's right!! Book to get the resort you want and if discounts come out just call and they'll adjust your reservation. We stayed at Port orleans riverside and we loved that resort!

We might bounceback for Dec 2010! Working up my speech to talk DBF into it already. :)

I'm not going in December, 2010 (October-November, actually), but I saw something in the paper today that anyone who is going the first week of December should likely be aware of.

If you don't know, Major League Baseball has winter meetings every year, with representatives from every team. I saw that, for 2010, the meetings are going to be from December 4-7 in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Although they didn't say WDW, I'm guessing that CSR is going to be packed during that time.

We are planning on going December 11-17, 2010...Probably going to stay at Pop Century....We haven't been since June 2008 so I'm already so excited...and I've never been in December...I bet it is beautiful....Can't wait for Next December to get here:goodvibes

We are planning for family reunion (to get all my kids together and their bf/gf's for a WDW trip finally!) for 11/28-12/4/10. I'm renting points so can't even begin to really plan the trip other than decide which resort and if we want to do a split stay.

Planning on a 2-bedroom villa and 2 studios at BWV boardwalk view and possibly stay at BCV for a couple of nights - still not sure. I'm still so excited even tho it's over a year away

Plan to do our volunteer work this year to earn a free ticket and then we want too visit for a long weekend to see all the Holiday festivities...:cool1:

DD will be in 7th grade so I don't want to pull her out more than 2 days...So I was thinking of leaving on her 1/2 day which is a Wed Dec 8th and then staying till Sat night or Sunday morning....:goodvibes

We have to do MVMCP and Epcot and the candlelight processional. I want to do the dinner package at Chef's de France....:yay:

I can't believe I am already planning for next December when this one is not even here!!:cloud9:

Can't wait! Time flies......

We had been discussing going over Christmas for awhile now, and it's official...we are going!

It will be my family (me, dh, dd who will be 5, and dd who will be 2), my in laws, my sil, bil, niece and nephew, and other bil. My mom may go as well.

My in laws know they want to stay at BWV, but we can't afford that, so we will be at a moderate. Now to pick which one! We just stayed at POR in September. I have to take the kids into account now though, because they weren't with us :)

Our plan is to be there December 27-January 2nd.

Anyone have any advice for being there during that crazy week? Places to eat, resort opinions?

We are thinking of going Dec 10-17 to take advantage of the value season pricing.

We are thinking about the first week of Dec 2010. The rates are considerably less than our original dates in early October. What is the weather like in early December?

I have already booked a GV CL room at the Poly for Dec 5 - 11 for our family. We are so excited to go. I noticed my first time I posted on this chat, I had 613 days to go, now I am down to 406 days!

We are planning on going to WDW in December 2010, but don't have the exact dates nailed down just yet. We're thinking about December 10 - 17, 2010. The plan right now is to stay at the WL, but I would love to stay in a MK room at the CR. I did ask our DS's if they would rather see WDW at Christmas or Halloween time, but they don't know about the trip. We are planning on getting the boys up like they are going to school and then going to WDW instead. This trip has been planned and replanned since December 2008, so I would rather them not know about it if it has to be rescheduled again.

We will be there from Dec 5th-13th. We are doing our first Disney cruise and then spending a week at BLT. The cruise is all booked we just need to wait until Jan. to book the resort.
