DECEMBER 2010....Who's comin??

December 9 - 14, 2010, Contemporary Resort, Tower Magic Kingdom View.:cool1:

Count me in, staying at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge, arriving 11/30 and leaving 12/4.
I love WDW in December!

I don't think that makes you a control freak at all! (Or if it does, I am too ) I would do the same thing. I'm sooo detail-oriented (thanks to many Nancy Drew books growing up) that when I do something I double and triple-check to verify accuracy, and I know that the rest of the world is a lot more sane and doesn't do that, leaving 0.1% chance for error . . .

No, I am not a control freak, not psychotic, not a perfectionist . . .:rolleyes1

Exactly, if I do it I know it was done right so I won't have to worry about it being wrong. This way I won't have to bug the poor CL staff to triple check everything which I think would be worse than being a control freak and doing it myself.

:offtopic:

ANYWAY-we were talking about ADR's :goodvibes

So, another reason I'm selecting the restaurants is that hubby stresses too much about stuff, it truly would cause him anxiety even to pick a few of the restaurants. I'm reminding him many times that we're on the DxDDP and it's pre-paid, so don't worry about the menu prices! So, I truly am saving him the stress that he would be under. And we've been married eight years (it'll be more than nine by the time we go), so I can truly say that I know what he likes. I've shown him the Narcoossee's menu (which he LOVED), and I plan to slowly show him more. Also over the next 9 months take him to different restaurants w/similar cusiine (esp. since we'll be eating at WS a lot) so that he starts to get excited.

See my DH is the opposite of that, he never stresses about anything. I picked all the resturants, some we went to last time we were there (December '06 for our honeymoon), and he actually remebers them which means he liked them. Others he will at the very least find something he likes on the menu, he isn't too picky. Really the tough part is I also have to plan for my parents and my mom can be pretty picky. But I love going over the menus to see if it will be good for the group and as we get closer to ADR time I am going to sit my mom and DH (my Dad won't care where we eat) down with me at the computer and go over each choice I have made to make sure they will be ok with them.
I like your idea of taking him to resturants with similar cuisine, that way there will be no unpleasent suprises once you get to Disney.

Count us in!! We're going December 4 - 11!

We just bought our park tickets yesterday, and are checking on getting a reservation this week!! We are going with my SIL and her family, it is only our second Disney trip (first time was only 2 days, and in the summer), and their first. We are all so excited! Since our first short trip several years ago, I have wanted to go back - and have been dying to go at Christmas!

There will be 4 adults and 8 kids total, so we needed a large place to stay...unfortunately that ruled out onsite, which is a bummer. Thankfully a friend owns a timeshare and she said if there is availability we can stay there and just pay the transfer fee! So...if all goes right that will save us quite a bit of money! That's nice, especially after the cost of tickets for 2 families of 6! LOL

Right now we're trying to decide if splurging on MVMCP is worth it...originally we were going to go the week of Christmas, so that wasn't an issue - but our dates have changed and I really was looking forward to the special parade and fireworks. I'm just not sure if I am willing to pay that much to see it, when I haven't heard great things. Any opinions on that from people who have been??

We are planning our first December trip, and also staying at our first Deluxe hotel, Wildreness Lodge December 4-11. I will also be celebrating my 30th Birthday!

Hi. We are planning on going Nov 29-Dec 7!!!!!:santa: We were hoping for
POR but I am worried about the resort being soooo crowded b/c of the cheerleaders. I know pop warner doesnt usually stay there but am worried b/c I read that if the values are filled, they go to POR. Does anyone have any experience with this? We loved POR but dont want to be faced with lots of teenagers. (Although, yes, they do deserve to enjoy the world too!):cheer2:

Pop Warner is the second week of December( the week I will be there:scared1:) so you may only encounter it for a couple days, if at all

Dec 11-18th at the Contemporary. I'm really wanting to add a day or two at another resort but the whole split stay thing confuses me with the tickets.

I am so close to booking Dec. trip. Going crazy trying to figure out where to stay and what dates. we have stayed at all the value and 3 moderates, including a stay at SSR. Keep looking at pics of POFQ never stayed but it looks so nice and also BC. Does anybody swim in the pools in Dec? I went in Dec. before but I remember it being really cold. We needed to wear jackets most days. I know the weather is great for the parks, no sweat pouring off. I have been to WDW at least 20 times and have never stressed so much about dates and where to stay. I will been so happy when I finally just go for it.:scared::confused3

Yea, a few hours ago I called Disney and officially added the 6th to my reservation! There was no hassle-I still got the 40% off BB rate, MK view, etc.

I updated my outlook calendar to when I can do ADR's (June 9th), I just need to update my ticker.

Oh-I also showed hubby the LeCellier Menu, he wasn't as excited as I thought he'd be, we both LOVE steakhouses. I reminded him that he can get a steak "the size of my head" and not worry about the cost. Well, he was still excited about the Narcossee's menu, even if it was mostly b/c of the deserts popcorn::

Are you thinking of adding a cheaper hotel? Make sure to add it before you go to the contemporary. Ahhhhh -- just bite the bullet and keep it all at the Contemporary.:rotfl2:

We have reservations at POR for 12/20-12/18.

It's not a passion, it's an obsession!!!!
