December 2009

Hi Emma! Wow a fabulous update! I loved all the London shops. Makes me want to go back right now. It was snowy and rainy when we went to visit. I think it is such a beautiful city! I loved all of your Darcy comments and your mom's guestbook entry was brilliant! I would pretend I was a Jane Austen heroine in some of the gardens we walked through when we visited. Looking forward to your next update.

Wow! The buildings in London make shopping so much more...posh! It looks so beautiful! It looks like you had a great time!

I guess that's another must see of places to visit for me!

OH! Enjoy Lost In Austen when you get a chance to see it! :o)

Great update and pics, Emma! Reading your TR and seeing your pic, I'm getting really excited about my trip at the end of the year.

what lovely pictures, I love the shopping ones! London is high on my list as one of the cities I want to visit.

London looks amazing!

I would love to just wander around there, snapping photos. :goodvibes

I would also love to have tea out of one of those silver teapots myself.

Cute vacuum, never thought I'd say that! :lmao:

Mia looks excited to be along for the journey.

Love all the updates. I have a recipe for banofee pie and I am making that the next time I make pie. I like the little vacuum cleaner too.

Subbing...a lurker coming out! I enjoyed your cruise TR so much so I want to join in on this one. The pictures and updates have been awesome...so glad I found this TR!! I'm also glad to know I am not alone in not knowing what welsh rabbit is :confused3

Ironically, I just watched "Lost in Austen" this past Saturday and have recommended it to several friends...I do recommend watching! I can't wait for future updates!!

Oh my goodness, Emma. What fabulous updates! :goodvibes I could go on and on and on... but I'll try to stay to the point.

First of all, I love that you all took a ferry and then the train. I've never been on a train, and I really want to ride one! Too bad you had to trek through London until you reached your B&B afterwards. It reminded me of trekking through Panama, with suitcase and pillow in hand, after riding public transportation through town!

I had to look up Kinder Eggs. I'd never heard of them. They look so great.

Your B&B is adorable. So British. And I'm glad it was the one with the twinkle lights. Perfect.

All of you sales and shopping (and the signs in the first store) make me want to go that much more! HOW FUN. What a great Mom/Daughter/Dart day! The "trimmings" remind me of Pride & Prejudice when they're in the store with all the ribbons. And Fortnum & Mason looks SO elegant. I bet Mr. Darcy's Grandma did eat there! :cloud9: What great adventures!

I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!

Your pictures of London do look amazing. What a wonderful day you had with your family. Everything looked and sounded so perfect! The stores are really amazing.

So Emma I've been a lurker on your trip reports before but I had to come join in this one!!!

I grew up in a tiny little village in England and moved to Florida about five years ago. I just went back to England on vacation to see my family and friends - I got back two days ago and have been feeling a little homesick for all things English! But your pictures have really made me smile!

I LOVE Marks and Spencer! May I suggest their Percy Pigs? Probably one of the most wonderful things on the planet! I bought ten packets back with me!

Great update. Thanks for the tour of Harrod's! I really enjoyed it. Glad you were able to find a few bargain buys. Lunch sounds yummy.

Wow, that looks awesome!

Ahh, so that's what the famous Harrods is like!

Just a question, Emma...I was listening to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack...the Broadway one...have you ever seen any of the Disney on Broadway shows? I've seen The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast (three times!) and they were amazing.

Great update Emma! I would love to get that teapot for a friend of mine. I guess I just have to plan a trip there to get it!

Great update, Emma! I also picked up a cute little PVC bag from Harrods when we went. The food hall was almost overwhelming, it's so big!
