December 2009 Planning Help

Our next big trip to DL is going to be next December and I got one of those 30% off pin codes so I am trying to lock down our dates and had a couple of questions I was hoping to get help with.

1. When is the candlelight processesional typically held? Is it just one night and does it have a huge impact on crowd levels? We will be travelling with my mom again, provided her health holds up, and she will have an ECV and does not do well with big cowds so I will want to avoid this if possible.

2. When do cast christmas parties typically occur? We are looking to avoid the shortened park hours that typically occur during those days.

I am looking to book a 4 day trip sometime in the 1st 2 weeks of December so any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

bumping for the evening crowd. I think I figured out that Candlelight processional is usually the Friday after Thanksgiving weekend but I cannot seem to find any info about the traditional dates of cast christmas parties.

We were there the first week of December in 2008, and the Candlelight Processional thing was performed on Friday and Saturday (the 5th and 6th). We left on Friday, but my friend was there and said it was a very crowded day.

The castmember parties were not on the Mon/Tues when we were there (Dec 1st and 2nd), so I assume they were the following week. I thought I had read that they are usually scheduled for the first Mon & Tues in Dec, but not last year.

The CP is traditionally the first weekend in December & the CM parties are the first Mon/Tues of December. For 2009, I would assume that the CP will be on 12/5&6 and the Cast Member parties will be on the 7th and 8th.
