I was just telling my husband that I feel like I am in a catch-22. I am so thankful for the dis that I can find out such great info, but if I wasn't in the loop, I wouldn't know that I am one of the only people on the planet not getting the free dining pin I so desire!

Ok, so on the Disney Visa website they have the promotion for :

Disney’s Old Key West Resort or Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
$169 per night plus tax for stays most nights 8/9-10/3/2009 in a studio.

Ask about other resort categories at varying discounted rates

Just booked our December flights yesterday on Southwest for $49 each way!!! Today, they are $77 each way, so I am glad I booked when I did. I heart Southwest!!

We have Coronado Springs from December 17 - 23 at $89 per night with a pin code, but I am really hoping we can get free dining instead. Fingers crossed!!

I could not believe the prices for those flights!:thumbsup2

Looks like you got an excellent deal on your flights.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Those flight prices are great! I booked also but they are closer to $100 each way out of Manchester, NH. Hopefulyl they'll come down!

You got $100 each way out of Manchester? The cheapest I saw was $109. I actually got a system error when trying to book which jumped my flight down from $109 to $144 which REALLY stinks (12/17). My return was $129 (12/27).

Technically it was $109 down - that stinks yours went up to $144. And $129 back is clsoe to what mine was too I think. I really debated waiting to see if they would come downto the $79 range - but decided not to risk it. And if it does come down I will be abel to get a credit that my son can use for his yearly trip to NC next July.
And this way it is booked and make sit all seem more real. Everything is paid and now it's just the waiting.... :rolleyes1

I'm horrible - I couldn't wait for Southwest to release December reservations back in March, so I decided to shop around and found our flights for $197 RT through Delta! Boston to Orlando, non stop. The best part is that I got the earliest flight down (we arrive in Orlando at 10:30AM) and the latest flight home (I think we leave Orlando at 6:50PM). I'm glad I booked when I did - as I continue to look at various sites and compare if I got the best rate. So far, so good...

That happened to me too for my flight out of Manchester! I was so mad!!!

We booked our Southest flights on Tuesday too. Our flights from Providence, RI to Orlando weren't bad...$109 each way for a total of just under $240 p/p round trip. We booked the earliest flight on the way down arriving around 10:30 AM, and on day of departure we are leaving at 6:45 PM.

We live close to Logan, but parking at Logan is expensive and when we've had a car service pick us up its $200 plus tip, roundtrip. My family lives in Providence and can drop us off and pick us up. Oh plus being able to take 2 bags per person for free, up to 50 pounds each is nice! :cool1:

Southwest was the best choice for us for so many reasons!:banana::banana:

I finally booked Jetblue out of Westchester Airport last week for $612 for the 3 of us. I was glad because then the flights went up.

What I never thought of checking was their parking. It's 23 a day..... ouch. So what we made up in airfare we will spend in parking. Oh well.

But our flight arrives at Orlando 9:25 and we have a 4:25 coming home.

I'm hoping for those $79 prices too, but I figure at Christmas time it's unlikely. Hey, if I end up with a credit I'll just have to take the family down for February or April break. NH breaks are a great time to go down (we seem to be off times compared to the rest of the country) and maybe there'll be another 4/3 deal. ;) DH is going to think I'm nuts. :rotfl2:

We must be flying similar days as it seems as though ONLY the dates/times I wanted jumped. The majority of the rest are still at $109 and the ones coming back were already up at $129-$164 pretty early in the morning. Cross your fingers for sales in a few weeks (it does seem to be a pattern for SW).

Manchester is my closest airport. We've considered Logan and if we do every do it, we'll spend the night in Boston at a hotel with a deal where if you spend the night you get free parking for 7 days (I've seen these before). The hotel cost ends up being cheaper than the airport parking.

I did notice that Providence still has the $109 flights, but I figure that extra long drive to save $20/pp ($80 for 4) isn't worth it for us. I'm 15 minutes aways from Manchester airport.

We'll be arriving at the Orlando airport at 10:30 am  and won't have to catch DME on our return until approx. 5:00 pm (flight leaves 7:55 pm) :cool1:.

I totally agree; SWA is definitely the best airline for us so many reasons!!

I am going to have to do some calling around! We've contemplated taking the bus from the Cape to Boston to save on parking as well - but maybe if I can find a deal like this it would be worth driving up the night before. Any idea where I should start my search?

I avoid Logan as much as possible. We just got back from a cruise and to park for a week at Logan it cost us $215! I'm so happy to fly Southwest out of Manchester

Do some google searches for things like Boston park stay fly or Boston hotel airport parking or whatever other combo you can come up with. Boston park stay fly comes up with several options. You just need to search through for one that sounds good to you. Last time I looked, I remember finding one at a higher end hotel (boy do I wish I could remember which one) for around $129/night and it included a hot breakfast but that was well over a year ago. I don't know what kinds of deals there are right now.

I also live on the Cape and we are going on December 4th. We are flying from Logan on Jetblue (they were about 100 each way) but have not decided about the parking situation or if we should take the Logan Express. There is a park and ride out in like Revere or Chelsea....:confused3

I talked to a lady at Disney and she said that there is a good chance that Disney Visa will annouce free dining this Christmas season again. There were no pin codes attached to my name though. Looks like I need to keep an eye out in the mail and on the Disboards.
