I am also waiting for a December code but I am going the 6-13...which is pop warner week. Does anybody really think there will be codes or should I just call and apply my AAA card to my ressie?

All of the codes I have seen so far skip that week. We are hoping to go Dec. 5-8. I have NEVER gotten a code, anyway, so I went ahead and booked with the AAA disc. I figure If i would get lucky enought to get a code, I can switch dates up until I book my airfare. At least this way, I have SOMETHING booked. Dec. is getting more and more popular, and I was afraid to wait, and have everything be booked.

Last year the pin code that floated around early in the year covered that week (I know cuz we used it!) This year all the pins have excluded that week (so we are going the week after Thanksgving with a pin instead). I would get the AAA deal now and you can always modify to something else if a better deal comes along.

Hi Everyone...Our ressies are for Nov 29 thru Dec 5. We got a postcard from Disney offering us 40% off the Value Rate at that time, so I couldn't resist! It's me and my daughter (16) for a whole week! I can hardly wait! I made reservations at CBR in a Pirate Room!

Quick question about the 40% off codes...I got one for a value resort and I want to go in December. Of course, the week I want to go is blacked out so I'm thinking of going the week before...the code is good from 11/29-12/5. If I do that week, I want to go on the 28th, will I still be able to use the code? I mean, obviously I'd have to pay full price on the 28th, but would they let me use it for the rest of the week, or do the dates have to be exact?

Pop Warner is 12/6-12/12?? Great, again, that is when we will be there. So does that mean there will be less of a chance of getting a code or promo for that week???

Does anyone know if the "general public code" last year skipped this week?? We went in November and used the code and saved almost $400. This year we are planning on December 5th-12th and hoping that there will be a general code again.

Hi! When I booked our room, I originally wanted 11/28 thru 12/5, but they would not let us use the 40% discount or even reserve the room. Maybe they were full because of Thanksgiving, I don't know.

Same with me! Originally tried for 11/28/09 but couldn't get that code for that date at Wilderness Lodge. That is okay though, cause we have now decided to come in on Friday 11/27/09 and stay two nights at POR and do Seaworld on 11/28/09 and then head over to Grand Floridian for dinner and Wishes from the beach...and then start our regular trip on sunday 11/29/09..

My experience...Disney will apply AAA discount to a room-only reservation, but I have been told that they cannot do so when it comes to a package. That you have to do directly with AAA.

I was checking out the historic discounts for last December on mousesavers, and it looks like there were a couple package discounts for Oct through Christmas. Does anyone know what kind of deals they were and what dates were excluded (I'm guess Thanksgiving for sure)?

I did a search for last year's code watch and found this:

Valid most nights: 11/1/08-11/22/08, 11/30/08-12/6/08, 12/14/08-12/23/08. Some resorts will NOT be available for all dates.

That was for the room only code, but I'm guessing the package nights were the same or close. Pop Warner was 12/7-12/13 last year, so those are black-outs for 2008.

Very interesting! Thanks for looking that up!! I am going to talk to my DH and see what he wants to do if those dates do end up being blacked out (if a code does come out). I think he would rather change dates and save some $$.

Does anyone know when the Disney Visa sent out codes for free dining last year? I remember it was when we got back from our September vacation but can't remember when. We actually booked a few weeks later this year, so I hope I don't miss it while we're away on vacation. I'd really like to get the free dining in December if they offer that again.

Yes, it was released on 9/18. I'll never forget the date cause that's my b-day.

I was at DW when the FD December deal came out. If I had been able to even dream of such a thing happening, and I sure did not, I would have waited and went then.

I am booked for the 40% off deal and would love to have FD for at least some of that time. Fingers and eyes crossed!

Hi! We are doing the same thing. We are paying full price for 11/28 and then using the room only code for 11/29-12/5. My TA had CRO link the 2 ressies together in the system so the room assigners knows what we are doing and will get placed in the same room for the entire time. We did the same thing last year as well and it was fine. You just have 2 ressie numbers.
