I just got off the phone with a CM booking my trip for the beginning of Dec with a 20% off pin.... he kept telling me how successful the 4/3 promotion was, the best thing Disney ever did... he said to me.. Which time in Dec is the busiest? I said Christmas.. he said which time is the slowest? I said beginning of December and he kept telling me to be patient and alluded to the fact that they may be offering the deal... Let's keep our fingers crossed!!!

I will keep my fingers crossed for that! I wonder how soon they would let that one out. I guess they would have to wait until the end of booking for free dining. That would be such a huge burden off of us if they did that. Our trip would be almost paid for now!!! But then with that said, we are going the first week of Dec and we are going because it is less crowded. I don't want that to change.

I hope it's not just wishful thinking on the part of the CM.

I like the idea of the 4/3 promo over the free dining deal, anyway. I'll take either deal for anytime in December.

We got an email for values $82 a night. No deal there, but on the bottom it gave us a 20% off for other rooms with a pin code. It's good for December. When I told my husband about it he said "they have to offer us better than 20% off to go. We're hoping for a better deal.

I didn't really look into the 4/3 deal because I knew we wouldn't be going then...so how did it work? You pay for 4 nights and get 3 free? I know you had to pay 7 nights of dining, but what about tickets - are they 7 for 4 too?

We just found out that we'll be going in December with the ILs. Most likely Dec. 12-19th or so.
Fingers crossed for a great package discount!!

I thought I was imagining things. I got an email, too, but deleted it because we were originally planning for Jan 2010 but bumped it up to Dec instead. I tried calling but you know how evasive they can sometimes be if you don't have the PIN. Thanks! I agree that it's not such a great deal and now I won't be kicking myself for deleting it. It's early. I'm sure better offers are yet to come.

So, should I book my trip now and then cancel and rebook when the offer comes? How does this work? I think I remember a discussion like this before but (being a typical distracted parent) I forget.

Book now and you can apply the deal later if one is available for your dates and resort. I do it all the time.

As for the PP who asked about December deals, there were various % off pin codes that went out earlier in the year. We had a 40% off one for most of the year that expired 3/31/09. We booked the GF 11/29-12/6 with it.

General public codes and Disney Visa offers historically come out in August.

We'll be at GF 11/30 - 12/6. Since the trip is so far away, I'm a bit nervous due to the economic crisis and all. I hope our situation will not change. I'm going to pay down the trip little by little every month so we should be good.

We did get a 40% PIN after we booked our ressie. I wonder if disney was worried that we might cancel.

So how did you apply it? Did you cancel and rebook with the PIN? I've usually found the res CMs to be really helpful. Any advice?

Did you get your code by email? I got something but deleted it. We didn't decide about December until after 3/31 so I feel better thinking it wouldn't have mattered.

yes it came by email.

I got the kids play and dine free a couple of weeks ago by snail mail though.

We've gotten a bunch of PIN offers, but nothing that extends beyond Oct. 3rd.
I'll keep my eyes open & hopefully they have lots of great offers in the works!

I'm gonna be there 12/24-1/2 and am hoping to get my first pin code ever. I've been going to Disneyland since 1968 and WDW since 1972 and have never received a code, so I guess I won't count on it but I still go, I LOVE it!

We've just switched our dates to December 9 through December 20. 11 nights at CSR, with a free dining pin! I am pretty excited to be there so close to Christmas!
