December 2007 Code Watch

I'm new to this message board thing, but I'm already hooked! Hopefully I'll still have a job in December, but if I keep reading this site 4 hours a day it might be iffy! Going to WDW with DW, DS (8), who has been twice, and DD (3) for her first time, on 12/5 - 12/9. Not even telling the kids - just getting them up that morning and putting them on the plane. That is, of course, if I can keep my 8 year-old out of the mailbox!

Wife and I were going on our Honeymoon and we met a family that the parents did that. that is honestly the best idea I have ever seen! Great job!

Any sign of a discount being offered for December? I just don't want to miss it. "Extra" $$$ at Christmas time is always nice. More Disney $$$ to spend while we are there Dec. 19-25th. It will be our first time at WDW. We are really excited.

It might be a bit dicey to expect a code that close to Christmas. Generally Disney isn't all that generous that close to a major holiday. Maybe this year will be different. Good Luck!!

When the discount codes come out, do they only apply to room only reservations or can they be applied to package reservations also? Anyone have any experience with this??

Last year we got a code for packages only.........not sure if they did the room only or not.

According to the history list on another site it looks like they offered AP and Florida Resident rates last year through 12/24.

I have a package booked at POFQ for 12/11-12/16 with dining plan. We decided to fly down the 10th (after I already booked) and now need another night in one of the Disney Resorts. I would love a code to possibly apply to my existing package and add that extra night. Would love to surprise my daughters with upgrade to a deluxe hotel even for the one extra night.

I got a really rude CM yesterday on the phone. I asked if there were any codes attached to my name. She stated I would have gotten something in the mail. I asked her to check anyways. I then asked if there would be any discounts for December and she rudily told me that they are working on the 2008 pricing right now so any discounts wouldn't come out until November for December. I highly doubt she is right but nonetheless she was rude!

If you subscribe to this thread you can receive e-mail messages when people post to it. I'm sure as soon as someone finds out about any codes or discounts for December they will post a message on this thread letting everyone know...I know I will!

Does anyone know if it is faster to find out about a new code on this thread, or MouseSavers? I don't know how quickly they update Mousesavers, or what time zone they are on. Just wondered if the morning the codes come out, if the first poster here finds out just by calling WDW reservations, or if they go to MouseSavers..

I talk to a wonderful cm today who said that he thougth the discount would be out in a few weeks and that he was pretty sure there would be one. Guess we will see.

I just got an email with a pin for 5 nights/6 days at a value resort for $362 including tickets to the park (one park per day). The date ranges are 9/30 - 11/19, 11/24 - 11/28 and 12/8 - 12/23.

I'm already booked for a moderate resort for mid december and dont want to downgrade plus I'm only staying for 4 nights so I'm assuming I cant use this code - is that correct?

If so, can I give it away or do these types of codes only apply to whomever they're sent to?

moviegirl11, did you call to see if they could apply the code to the res you have now, Cause I did this yesterday and they were able to apply to a deluxe and add the dining plan,
