Just curious, what is CRO? Also, does anyone know if there is a chance that Disney will offer free dining in December? thanks!!

Not much of a chance for free dining in December. It is offered during the hurricane season to fill up un-occupied rooms. They don't need promotions in December to fill up rooms.
CRO is Central Reservations Office.

CRO is Central reservations (or something like that) - it's the main number for booking directly through Disney - 407-939-6244.

Also, there is very little chance of free dining in December. Generally it is only in August and September, and this year the time period is much shorter than it has been before. It was a way to get people down there during the slow (hurricane) season.
One can hope though...

How did you get 40% off? Was this a certain offer only to certain people?

Yah, it was an offer sent via email to certain individuals (I think in February?), but I don't know how Disney chooses who gets the email. We went in July 2005 (4 families) and only 1 of the families got the offer sent to them (and it wasn't mine!). With the code, you are able to book up to 3 rooms for the 40% off ~ and it applies to any of the WDW resorts, but it's only for the off peak season. We booked 1 reservation for 12/8 (regular price), then made another reservation for 12/9 - 12/20 (w/ the 40% off). I still look for deals though! Something better could come up (from what I've been reading).

I caved! I guess I am just too anxious to keep waiting for another discount to come out, I went ahead and booked through AAA. I'm new to this coupon code thing and waiting game......question though, can I apply a new 'better' discount if one comes out? Please school a girl!!!

I'll see you there! That is why I am going 2nd week of Dec. vs. 1st week myself.

Due to POP Warner week,we ALWAYS go 2nd week of December. As we arrive on Sunday, everyone from POP Warner is leaving so it's not as crowded as the kids are still in school and POP Warner week is over. 3rd week is when most schools in the country get released for christmas break and it gets hectic, plus the season changes from off-peak to peak(holiday) season and the rates go through the roof. We'll be doing 2nd week of December for many years to come.

Don't get me wrong, it's not quiet by any means as it's truly never like that at WDW. But the crowds are more tolerable and lines are generally less than 10 minutes in queue, if that, for the more popular rides.

Pop Warner week is when Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading teams come to WDW for their national finals. You can google "Pop Warner Football" or "Pop Warner Superbowl" for more info.

FYI, the historical data shows the discount last year for Dec. ended before Christmas...around the 20th, I think. (according to the Mousesavers.com site)
