December 2005 Info, Code, Dining, & Special Package Watch! :)

We have decided to go 11/27-12/3 and I am also waiting on pins and needles to see what kind of a deal we may get. I'm with everyone hoping the free dining plan extends to the next value season. I keep hearing everyone say "it was extended until October" so does that mean it was in effect for the other value seasons earlier this year? That would be such a savings! The past couple of years we have had AP's but this year I'm waiting to see if the dining thing goes through and I would use that instead of an AP code. There will be 6 of us going in 3 different rooms....2nd annual trip together during the holidays.....first time staying at POP and really looking forward to it. It's nice to know that I am not the only one stressing about if the dining will extend or not...oh well at least we just have to wait a couple of months to find out!!!!! :confused3 :rolleyes1 :sad2:

I was so glad to check in today and see all of you with me on this! It's so nice to have people to obsess with! :sunny:

Have all of you subscribed to this thread? If not, try to as soon as possible, and as soon as I hear news about special things for us, I'll post it. And if you hear of anything, post it, too. Then we'll get an email notification to check and we'll be on top of things.

I'm so looking forward to December and hope that we'll get in on some good deals. I'll even nag Disney if I have to... (and with 4 children, I'm good at nagging!) ;)

It sure is! Thanks for getting this thread going!

We (me, dh, ds7, dd5.5, dd 5mo.) hope to be at the World Dec 15 -20th (He's in Accounting and taking off more than that is an impossibility at year end. :sad1: ). At this point, I don't care WHAT kind of discount we get - I'm just hoping for anything!

:) Michele

First time poster here. We're booked in December too!! 11th thru 17th at the Contemporary. Would love to get free dining. Would love a discount of any type. ::MickeyMo

Welcome to the DIS, DisneyBust! I'm glad you've joined us. We're going at the same time as you, but will be staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins, or at Pop Century... not sure yet. Just wanted to welcome you! :flower:

I am at WDW from December 17-27. We are currently scheduled for 2 nights at PO and 8 nights at Poly, GVC. We currently have an AAA rate, and based on what AP rates have been, it's hardly worth the extra expense of the AP to get the room savings. At $70 off per night, we barely cover the difference between MYW passes and AP's.

On the other hand, since we are a party of 5, the dining plan would run us $150 per night. Getting that free would be a big help! I'd pay rack rate for that.

The question for me: would it be worth it for the dining plan and concierge?

Going sometime around the 17th-23rd (Pesky College breaks)
Any advice, codes, rate information is appreciated!

We are going (myself, DH, DD6 and DM ) Dec. 13-20 @BWV. As an AP and DDE holder I would love to see a really nice AP rate as this is our second trip this year. We booked a AAA rate but would always like to do better. It is DM's first time back since she took us as kids and we would like to be able to make it very magical for her. :sunny:

We will obsess with you :wave2: We are going December 14-23rd and staying at the Poly GVC. I have a room only booked right now and airfare  Just waiting to see what discounts are offered!

Hi everyone we are going Dec 10-17 and I cant wait. I was suprised to see the free dining package since the dining in itself is such a deal, I hope we all get it extended, that would save me $450! Good luck to everyone and enjoy your vacations! :wave2:

We're going Dec 17-23 and I'm already prepared to pay rack rate (ouch!) for the POR. I'm hoping a free dining code comes through for those dates - it would save us over $500.

We are taking our 1st trip Dec 6-11. Our boys are 4 and 7 and we can't wait. I'm glad to have found this site. Loads of great info. Excited to be a part of the Dec code watch.

I just wanted to welcome the new tripmates who posted today. Glad to have you with us! The more to obsess, the merrier! :flower:

We have a AAA room only ressie for a standard at WL for 8 nights for $1500. There are four of us (2 adults, 2 juniors), and the dining plan I'm making up will cost about $800. We do about 5 sit-down meals, and 4-5 counter (plus sandwiches and such from our fridge). We plan on an 8 day MYW park tickets with no hopper. Our trip (room, food, tickets) will run about $3200.

So, does anyone think we'll do better with the free dining? I've looked at the thread where people are posting their deals and haven't seen anything to compare.

One thing, too--the dining plan is a lot of food. If we do get it we'll trade a couple of sitdowns for upgrades to Cali Grill and maybe Le Cellier.

We are booked with AAA package for a split stay at WDW. 3 nights at GF from 12/4 to 12/7 and 3 nights at BC from 12/7 to 12/10. Then off to Universal for 2 nights at the RPR. Would love to have free dining as well, just means more money to go Disney shopping! :cool1:

We're travelling Dec. 5 thru 10th. with AAA. We have room discount and have added dining. Since I think we get 10% discount at WoD I might just keep them even if we get code w/dining. We have two nieces 7 & 9 going with us for their first trip to WDW, so they will want to shop. We are taking 13 year old niece too, but she's been there lot's of time with us. She is going with us NEXT WEEK for a couple of days. We are planning on doing some surprise shoping for the other two. Autograph books, pens, etc. to give them before we go to keep the excitement going. WDW is a wonderful place, the happiest place on Earth!!!

I just ran the numbers on the Disneysite and 8 nights at WL with a 7 day pass(that's the highest #it would allow) and free dining comes to $2903.

We are planning a trip Dec 10-17th. Probably will be staying at an all star resort but hoping for POFQ.

I am so hoping for the dining discount to be extended but I will also take anything I can get.

Can't wait to go.

Thanks! I didn't know you could check it out on the site. Looks like it would save me a few hundred. Hopefully, we'll see it in the coming days/weeks.

I'm booked for AKL std. room for 11/29 - 12/6 (AAA disc. at $169 per nt.). First time at WDW in 15 years & 1st ever w/ the kids (DD/12 & DS/8). I didn't book w/ the dining plan (limited restaurant selection); but, with the expanded list of restaurants (more in the WS now than before) &, if it's free :) I'll probably take them up on that. See you all there! :cool1:
