December 2,2006...Anyone want to join us?

hi everyone were almost packed  were not doing many excurisions :guilty: my DH broke his neck in the spring and he cant do anything that requires too much. me and my DS are doing the banana boat at CC i did it years ago at port lucya and had a blast  Im going to get to the ship early my TA said if we get there early we may be able to get palo ressis my DMIL has never been there hope every one is getting ready 2weeks till i leave :woohoo:

I bought 2 new sets of luggage at disneyshopping.com but they are still laying empty on my living room floor! I have made lists for myself and the kids, though.

Anyone get their cruise documentation yet? Not me... :sad2:

We decided to tour Key West on our own, they are having Pirates in Paradise while we are in port so that may be something to go look at. Just signed up with Nativeways for the Stingray and Island tour, $45 per person and includes the turtle farm! Cozumel is still undecided, thinking about doing the Eco Park & Snorkel excursion.

We plan on going to Paradise Beach in Cozumel for a few hours...don't forget that is the Pirate night festivities and to try and get the kiddos to rest or take a nap as to not miss the party and late night fireworks! :thumbsup2

The fireworks are so awesome!!! and the dessert buffet is fun too :)

Is Pirate night the night we are in Cozumel? Is anyone dressing up? I got the kids costumes for $5 last year after Halloween.

Disneycruising: so sorry you had to cancel... :sad2:

DS(8) will be in the Oceaneers Lab, Probably more than I would like!!!

We just got our Doc's today!!  :bounce: :bounce:
Now to start getting suitcases packed. We still have clothes shopping to do...

Thanks for the welcome,we're in Jacksonville! My DS is 8 too! We'll have to introduce them :yay:

Yes, Pirate night is when we are in Cozumel...on my last Disney Western cruise, my little guy didn't make it for the festivities as the fireworks didn't start up untill 10pm

My family is also going with Nativeway but we are doing the "reef, ray, beach" excursion with lunch at Rum Point beach. I am so looking forward to this :teeth:

No packing for me as I usually wait until the week before. :hourglass

DS is very much a people person. Wherever we go he always finds someone to play with...We will definitely have to have them meet!

Thanks, mine made it through the fireworks last year but with very tired eyes!

Have you done the turtle farm before? The only reason I didn't do the Rum Point Beach was I thought the kids would enjoy seeing the big turtles but I would really like to check out Rum Point.

Hi
We didn't do the turtle farm but I bet that would be neat. I thought about visiting the turtle farm but I saw the photos of Rum Point Beach and the clear shallow watter...sigh...that was all it took. I have heard great things about Nativeway and can't wait to sail with them :thumbsup2

My family has a spring break Hawaiian cruise/vacation planned where we are snorkeling along with giant turtles (just no touching them, not that I would want to ;) )

I have a six-year-old son too. He is actually looking forward to being in the clubs, but he hasn't been there before so we will see...Maybe we can introduce them at some point and they will feel more comfortable if they have a buddy.

Leasi

I have a 5 year old who will be 6 in February. He is looking forward to the cruise the activities - although he has never been. He is VERY outgoing and can get even those that refuse to get involved, involved!! :bounce:

Good morning all~
we are almost into the TWO WEEK ZONE!!! wowiee!!

All our stuff is laid out and tried on and finalized so we are good to go. I did our door signs over the weekend. I was not planning on doing them, but found awesome things in my scrapbooking box ( that I never opened! )

We are doing formal night with tux and gowns / Pirate night with full outfits and whatever else there is. As DH said "I am planning on having the best time of my life on this cruise!" DD agrees. As for me - DOUBLE what they are sayin!..

Only 8 more work days till this break too - thank goodness.

DD loved the Oceaneers club last time ( she was 11 ) and talks about it all the time. She is so excited about the Stack this time. Since this is around the Holidays - we told her the cruise was part of her present and then gave her an Apple Ipod Nano for her second present. She knows there will be NOTHING else. HEHE - I guess it is very easy when you have only one child. I wanted her to have the Nano while on the plane and bus.

For excursions - we have the Rasual planned for Monday - and Stingray City planned. That is all.

:)

 Hi everyone!
I don’t have my docs yet but hopefully tomorrow.

cheriemek: we ordered new luggage too. It was delivered yesterday :thumbsup2 . I really need to get packing so I can make sure everything fits since this is our first time cruising with a 16 month old. I am a little worried about how much STUFF I have to pack for him. The 8 yr old is easy, a bathing suit, some clothes and a game boy and he is set.
alwayslisad: I have 8 days of work left too. Can't wait to get out of there :moped: .

Momto2littlemonsters: I have an 8 year old DS going too. He is emailing with luvmykids DS. If you are interested send me a PM. He is already planning to spend all of his time in the club.

My DH really wants me to make a Christmas wreath for our door. I was actually thinking about making one from the computer and printing it on the magnetic paper and maybe gluing a couple of things on it so it does not stick out too far. Has anyone made a wreath for your cabin door?

DH & DS are doing the Shipwreck & Reef snorkeling excursion but with the baby we decided to just do mainly beach days since he can’t really go on any excursions.

My DH and I decided we really need:rolleyes: to go back to Disney for Christmas :woohoo: so I am sacrificing a couple of things on the cruise so we can spend 10 days at the Boardwalk (and avoid my  family for Christmas). We come home from the cruise on the 9th and head right back down on the 22nd :cheer2: :cheer2:. Anyway, since I am going to cancel some things I thought I would offer them to my Disboard cruisemates first. If anyone is interested in any of these, we can coordinate it so I cancel and you pick it up. This is what I have that I am canceling:

12/2 - Port Canaveral - Manicure 5:30 - 6:15
12/2 - Port Canaveral - Pedicure 6:15 - 7:10
12/4 - Day at Sea - Palo tea 3:00 - 4:00 reservation for 2
12/7 - Day at Sea - Palo Dinner 7:00 - 9:00 reservation for 2
12/8 - Castaway Cay - Cabana massage 2:00 - 2:50.
PM me if there is something you would like to try to pick up from me.

Have a great night everyone!
Cheryl

Do any of you know where I can find current Navigator's for my kids to look at that are current? I have searched every where and can't find it - which means it is probably right under my nose!! Thanks!

Last year was easy, we had no formal nights and it was summer so I knew every day/night would be warm. I'm a little nervous about this cruise since I have a tendency to over pack. I guess I need to get the luggage out and double check my list.

No documents here yet :(

Good Morning all ~

If you do online paperwork will you still get MAILED paperwork? I did three of my papers on the DCL site. So I wonder what I will get in the mail - if anything!!

Last night I made some luggage tags so I can find mine quicker in that MESS at MCO on day of arrival. At Manchester airport in NH at arrival home there is less of a crowd so I don't worry there...ehhehe but MCO --- eek ----- so many black luggage cases!!

We are not planning on packing much at all. DH and I are all set already - just need to throw a few shirts in - the ones I wear the most at home kinda stuff. Last time I packed FAR too much - this time - NOOOOO way...just the basics! If I forgot it - so be it - hehe...

when does everyone depart?

I will start:

we leave NH on 11/30/2006 to go to Boston - meet up with some of the family going ( my brother / his wife and DH's sister ) go to the hotel near Airport for a 7 am flight out next am....
12/01/2006 arrive at MCO at 10 - get a van at Hertz and go to MCO Hyatt for checkin and wait for the other 6 ppl to arrive from DUlles at 11:00am....OFF to DownTown Disney for us for the day. Meeting up with our cousins who just moved down to Orlando and letting the older kids all have fun with the little cousins, while we all have fun talking and fooling around!
Next morning - be in line for that WONDERFUL BUS that takes us to our dream come true!! YAHOOO

How many people are planning on rebooking...? we sadly are not.

The next two vacations are already planned.
2008 will be Williamsburg and surroundings for two - three weeks.

2010 will probably be renting a private catamaran for a all inclusive cruise for us and 8 friends/family members. DH & I had found this card in our SeaRay Boating book about this company that rents out catamarans with the Chef and the Captain for cruises 4 - 10 days. So Dh wanted me to send away for it. Cost per person is roughly 1500 per week - and you get to pick where you want to go. I said "Disney Cruise Lines" but that is not an option here...hehehe...it maybe awesome....We are leaning toward Belize for our desination. But in 2010 our DD will be a SENIOR ( :::falls off chair::: ) so who knows what finances will bring. Her senior trip is to FRANCE!!!! so maybe our vacation for 2010 will be the poor house!

ok I have to go in to that place that causes me pain...WORK....but only for today / tomorrow/ three days next week and three the next week after...

ta ta all - :)
:wizard: :wizard:   :cool1: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Docs came yesterday!!! This is our first time cruising since they moved everything online and I was surpsied how tiny the package was. For cruises past, we got a decent sized box. This came in just a little flat bubble mailer. Basically all we got was the luggage tage and the Bahamas form. Everything else we did online. Don't know if the package was so small b/c they knew we had already filled it all out online, or if this is what everyone gets. But we're drowning in luggage tags. It's just me and DH and, since we're allotted 2 bags a piece, we need 4 tags, right? We got 8. I guess it's so if we mess some up or something. I guess we can do quite a bit of messing up.

We got our Docs on Tuesday. We had the same thing in ours, just Bahama customs papers and luggage tags. When we went in 03 we got the larger box also... I guess that is all we get anymore now that we can pre register on line.

We depart Friday the 1st after the kids get out of school around 2:30. It will take us about 1 hr to drive to the Residence Inn...He he he... :teeth: That one hour is like torture though!
