I am so ready for this cruise! DH is leaving Iraq VERY soon to fly home to Fort Hood! He left in August and will be home for 15 days of R & R! Eight of those days we will be crusin! Since he left I moved us off post into our brand new home. He hasn't seen the house yet! I am SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

kt27 sounds like a wonderful time you and your husband will have. A disney cruise and a new home. How exciting.

My ds who is six informed me that he will NOT be going into the club on our trip . On our 3 night cruise last year we put him in the first night and when we went to check on him about 20 minutes later he was standing on the side by himself looking very overwhelmed. We took him out and did not bring him back. I was hoping this time he would want to go because he is now a year and a half older but now I don't know. I informed him I have palo reservations but he didn't seem to care Oh well....it is a family vacation. Maybe he will change his mind when he sees how much fun the other children are having.

We are getting even more excited Our countdown says 18 days

Thanks for the welcome luvmykids! I will be traveling with dh, ds (8yrs), dd (5yrs) and last but not least great grandma!

What excursions has everyone signed up for? We have everything planned except Cozumel. We are thinking of doing the Eco Park and Snorkel tour or the Xcaret Eco tour, the later being more $$$ and a much longer day. Has anyone done these?

I have a six-year-old son too. He is actually looking forward to being in the clubs, but he hasn't been there before so we will see...Maybe we can introduce them at some point and they will feel more comfortable if they have a buddy.

We're about 75% done with packing. I spent some time trying to accurately weigh one of our bags - which can easily go over the airline limit when packed too heavily!

I just ordered some "colorful" luggage straps with TSA-approved locks on them. Anyone ever use these - or any other TSA-approved locks - before? Purchased them for two reasons. One - to help identify the bags at baggage claim, but secondly - we've heard a lot of horror stories about baggage handlers at Newark airport.

Momto2littlemonsters: We have no excursions planned. We are planning on doing Paradise Beach on Cozumel, 7 mile beach on Grand Cayman and just touring key west on our own. The only thing I had really wanted to do was Stingray City in the Caymans but my dh was freaked out about Steve Irwin.

I have started to pack the kids clothes but am still trying to figure out everything we need. My dh said 1 bag per person plus a garment bag but for 11 nights I don't know if that is enough.....I refuse to do laundry on vacation.

Off to work the book fair at the kids school today. Have a great day everyone.

We plan on going to Paradise Beach in Cozumel for a few hours...don't forget that is the Pirate night festivities and to try and get the kiddos to rest or take a nap as to not miss the party and late night fireworks!

The fireworks are so awesome!!! and the dessert buffet is fun too

I wanted to let everyone know that we had to cancel our cruise. We did WDW and a DCL at Spring Break and couldn't afford this on too.

I hope you all have a great time!! Don't forget to do a trip reports when you get back. I can't wait to hear all about it.
