December 2,2006...Anyone want to join us?

No not much of a view, but it will still be just as nice! :sunny:

We wanted to eat there on a night that was not going to be real busy. DH definitely did not want to eat there on formal night. (that would of been fine by me though).

I am just hoping we are in Key West long enough to get to walk around and site see for a while. We don't have any excursions planned for any of our ports of call except CC.

For those of you renting a car, is the car rental place close to the port (this is my first cruise)? You can return the car and get a ride to the port?

We always rent from Budget at Orlando airport and hubby drops me and kiddos off with luggage at the ship and then drive car back to Budget afew blocks away (I know it's not too far) and takes the Budget shuttle back to the ship. The kids and I go and check in and hubby is usually back in 15 minutes or so.

Hope that helps :wizard:

Today was a good day for shopping at Macy's as they had formal dresses for 75% off :thumbsup2

I think we are in Key West until 10pm or something like that...I remember last trip we walked over to see all the fire/dancer performers on the pier :sunny:

I bet Palo will not be busy as alot of people go out to see the performers. Good idea for Sunday at Palo!

Oh I hope we are there that late! I really want to get out to the southern most point....and see some of the more popular places. :cool1:

We dock around Noon. That's when we've been in the Palo Brunch and it's fun watching the approach and slowly edging into the dock.

The DCL Website currently lists our Ashore time as 11:30 a.m. and Onboard as 7:30 p.m, although I've seen that change by the time cruise day arrives.

I believe we where there very last because the crew was being awarded extra time for good work or something :thumbsup2

I hope we get to stay later :sunny:

there will be 4 of us at brunch on Sunday, specifically for the purpose of watching the ship dock! Should be a pretty site.

I just checked the KeyWest cruise ship calendar. They show us there from 11:30am till 7:45pm. It should work out perfect for your Palo brunch viewing. Good for you guys! :sunny:

Do you have a web address for that site? would be cool to check out what ships will be at the different ports. thanks!

Very excited!! I got even more excited yesterday when my wife called and said there was a delivery from Disney. Though I know it's a bit early to receive cruise documents (though we are now <28 days) I kinda thought..... Turns out it was a package from DVC asking us to "share the secret...." and all that.

Called DCL last night to add funds to our shipboard account. I know there a some differing opinions on why people do this. DCL holding our money for a few weeks vs. just paying the bill as it comes on board, but I like to budget it all out and have it mostly paid for up front.

Interesting! They have us departing Key West at 9:30 on 12/3.

6 ships at Grand Cayman (all arriving at 7:00 a.m.)

8 ships at Cozumel (we're the last one in and last to depart at 10:00 p.m.)

Wow, gonna be a little :crowded: at Cozumel. We are heading to Paradise Beach for that day :teeth:

Hopefully we'll have the usual Disney berth at the pier closest to the town. Was kind of cool pulling next to the Carnival ship (keep those Port side cabin curtains pulled folks!) and have their passengers watch. Then the Magic kicked off THE horn and was cheered.

Anyone booked with Nativeway? the Rays, Reef, Beach excursion? My family and I are booked...can't wait to swim with the rays and have lunch on Rum Point Beach :cool1:

We ended booking a private charter in Grand Caymans. I was trying to decide between Nativeway and Capt Marvins and stumbled across it on cruisecriticDOTcom and it came really highly recommended. Dh was a little sketchy on the ray thing. So if we get to sting ray city and him and the kids aren't into it we can leave and go snorkel other areas or go to the beach, etc. We get to kind of "control the itinerary" since we are the only people on the boat. I'm really excited about it!

For Cozumel we decided to not do an excursion and just walk around and shop a bit. That night is Pirate Night, right?? We thought we'd take it kind of easy to enjoy the festivities that night. They both are so excited about it. Got ds's Jack Sparrow costume, and dd's Elizabeth Swann costume all ready.

Key West same thing we will walk around and shop.

Hi everyone, we will be cruising with you all on Dec 2nd. This will be our 2nd cruise with Disney, I don't know who is more excited me or the kids :Pinkbounc There will be 5 of us, me (Shawna), dh, ds (8yrs), dd (5yrs), and my grandma (the kids great grandma). Has anyone been to these stops before? This will be our first time to Key West, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman, any suggestions on what or what not to do with the kids. I know I've waited to the last minute to book our excursions! Grandma has a hard time doing a lot of walking so I'm thinking in Key West we'll do the trolley tour. Anyone traveling with kids that are our childrens ages? 19 days to go........

We're traveling with DS(11), DS(7), and DD(2)... Our dilemna is that none of them will be together in the clubs (one obviously won't be in them at all) based on the difference in their ages. They'll be fine and have a great time, but there will be some separation issues on Day 1!

As far as excursions go... we're just doing a bit of walking in Key West, the beach in Grand Cayman, and a bunch of stuff at CC; however, just my wife and I are doing some shopping in Cozumel.
