We are starting to think about our excursions as we are getting closer :cool1: . We have two boys ages 6 and 9 and are thinking about Paradise Beach in Cozumel and the turtle farm on Grand Cayman. Has anyone done either of these excursions or heard anything about them? Any information would be appreciated.

I think will be also be heading to paradise beach or the all inclusive san francisco beach. Have not been to eighter but head good things about both :sunny:

Some people have posted on the Paradise Beach Cozumel board that the beach has very sharp rocks and the trampoline and iceberg are far to swim out to. Although other people loved it and would do it again. Someone suggested Chankanaab beach on Cozumel. I will try to find some info on that and maybe look into San Francisco Beach. All the threads I have read most people only talk about Paradise Beach. I am only nervous because my youngest is only 6 and not a swimmer.

Cruise critic board has alot of information on Paradise Beach and San Francisco beach :thumbsup2 might be good idea to bring water shoes to Paradise Beach just incase:)

Is anyone planning Stingray City tour in Grand Caymen? I can't decide between Captian Marvyns or Nativeway

We will be cruising with DD 17 and DS 8, DD wasn't really interested in the stack the last cruise we were on. She said she will go check it out again and see if it has anything that may intrest her, if not she will hang with her dad and I. DS loved the club, he promised he would eat with us every other night this time ( Last time he only ate with us once).
I just added the REAS package on for a surprise for DH, I sure hope it is worth the extra $$.
I have already started making our door decorations and getting costumes together for Pirate night. I didn't think DH would want to dress up, (I WAS WRONG).
We are getting closer...

Princessdaisy: I am thinking about the stingrays on Grand Cayman but would like to combine it with the turtle farm. I am probably going to book it through the Disney Cruise because my youngest son is 6 and I can.

Luvmykids: the turtle farm sounds fun! I love Grand Caymen but don't care for tendering in to the island  Ah, well as long as we get to go!

PenskeSth1: I hope you daughter likes the stack this time...it will be my daughter's first time there. We booked the REAS package last cruise and it was a nice treat...I think the basket now contains DCL bathrobes, now! and the massage at the spa was wonderful! We didn't book it again this time but I will have to make some time to go and use the rainforest spa...loves those heated, tile, lounge chairs in there :thumbsup2

Have you all gotten your little cruise booklets? Shore excursions, quick tips, tuxedo rental stuff. I read the stuff my dad got, and it gave him a calendar for important dates coming up. The travel agent made a mistake, so I told him to fix it pronto. They have him as signing up for stuff on Sept. 18th, but he's a Castaway Club member, so he should be able to sign up for the 3rd. Well, I will sign him up, as he doesn't want to wake up early to do it. I have his number, though, so I should be able to get in with that.

I noticed some of the excursions in the mailed booklet are not online. I wonder if they'll show up. Can't think of which one, maybe catamarran racing at Key West? Couldn't find that on the Disney online sight when I looked.

I introduced my sister, first time Disney cruiser, to this board and the navigators. She is completely overwhelmed!! She says she's going to hire me as her cruise director.

What day will first time cruisers be able to sign up for activities, etc. We haven't gotten anything from our travel agent yet. TIA!

First time cruisers can book their excursions, spa and Palo reservations 75 days in advance.

I can book on 09/03 - rest of the group is 9/18. DH and I found some great excursions in the book but they are not online. Per DCL, go by what is online, not in the book. So the book had 5 excursions that we wanted and then online has NONE of them. So no biggie, we will do what ever we can find and still have a ball.

4 months - yahoo - yahoo and YAHOO :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Does anyone know what time we will be arriving in Grand Caymen? I get so confused with ship time, daylight savings not observed in GC, etc. :confused3 I am trying to figure out what time we will be arriving so that I can plan my excursions.

Coming from San Diego we will already be getting used to the 3 hour time diff. and then if I need to change the hour back for Grand Caymen..... :rolleyes1

Hi! The info I have says that we arrive at Grand Cayman at 7 AM and leave at 5:30 PM. For Cozumel, we arrive at 10 AM and leave at 11 PM. Hope that helps. There's a great site called shoretrips.com that has independant excursions--you just have to watch the times closely. I'm really excited to be able to book Palo and Spa treatments in about a month! :Pinkbounc

TeriandCb: Thanks so much for the info. and websites! I will be checking that one out today :thumbsup2 I will be paying cruise off this week and looking forward to making reservations for Palo soon.

I wonder how many ships will be docked in GC & Cozumel when we are there? I am doing some last minute "summer clothes" shopping before all the stores are sold out. There are already have coats and sweaters on display and its hotter than heck over here :confused3 :rotfl: Ah, Well....

Hope everyone is having a great week and we are getting closer and closer!!!Wahooo!!!

Steph :wizard:

Princess Daisy, I just looked up on the cruise ship port calendar to see how much company we will have in each of our ports. KW only one other ship, GC a total of 6 ships, COZ there will be 8 (oh, my gosh!), but at CC just us.

Trolleygirl: Thanks so much for the info :thumbsup2 Wow! 8 ships in Coz? that is ALOT OF TENDERING! ;) I guess my beach excursion is gonna be :crowded: heheheh!

well, kids are :drive: me crazy and can't wait til school starts :yay: I can use the computer in peace then

Have a great weekend everyone!!!
