December 2,2006...Anyone want to join us?

Hey everyone! We will be sailing with you on 12/2. My son will be just shy of his 4th birthday, and this is his 3rd time on the Magic. It will be his first visit to the Oceaneer's Club. We are so excited because we know he will love it! He is very social.

:wave2: Welcome aboard! our son will be about 4 1/2 when we sail and I hope he enjoys the club also. This will be his third cruise on Magic and our fourth  We just love the cruise! :lovestruc

Have a great weekend everyone.

Welcome aboard!! Our son will be 4 in July. He was just 2 weeks past his 3rd birthday on our last cruise (on the Wonder) and he LOVED the Oceaneer Club. When talking about the cruise he brings up the kids club most often. I'm sure your son will love it!

:sunny:

Well here we are, half way through summer. Amazing isn't it?

I've been working on some of the details for our trip lately. We got our airfare from Indianapolis to MCO for $187 each. I was pretty tickled with the rate. Also got our rental cars lined up, and the post cruise hotel booked at the new Residence Inn at Cape Canaveral. Now I need to work accomodations for the pre cruise nights.

I haven't been able to decide on excursions yet.

How's everyone else coming with their plans?

We are planning to drive (from the Indianapolis area). That's what we did for our last cruise, and I think we enjoyed it more than flying, believe it or not. Of course, it required us to take a little more time off work.

We have post-cruise arrangements made in Jacksonville, because the Sunday after we return the Colts are playing the Jaguars there, and we are hoping to catch a game before we drive home.

I have already started a cruise box, been purchasing items for our do-it-yourself cabin gifts, made a door sign, and have been shopping for pirate costumes. Yeah, you could say I am almost ready!

Happy Summer :sunny: I have our prescruise hotel set up at Hyatt (we have to fly in day before since coming from California) and also have our 3 day Disney resort set up for Beach Club after the cruise.

I am still working on deciding what we are going to do for excursions. I know we want to do Sting Ray City but not with Disney since my little one will just be 4yrs old. :dance3:

Hi everybody! Glad to see a few other Hoosiers going on the cruise! We've booked a horseback riding excursion on the beach in Grand Cayman and we're thinking about parasailing at Castaway Cay. We probably won't do any excursions at Key West or Cozamel since we've done things there before although we might try and go to the Hard Rock Cafe at Cozamel. My oldest DD is back from Greece and getting ready to start Driver's Ed :) and my youngest DD is busy doing a play at a local theatre. The summer is going by so quick! :hourglass I'm hoping to have my parents get us some Pirate Mickey Ears when they head to WDW in September. Have a great holiday weekend! popcorn:: popcorn::

Yikes! You guys seem way more prepared then me! We just got back from Hawaii two weeks ago, and I leave for Kenya two weeks from today, so I've had my plate full with those trips. And by the time I get back its already time for back to school. I can't believe how fast this summer has gone!

I haven't bought our airfare yet. I do know we are planning to stay at the airport hotel (Hyatt I think?) since we are also flying in from California the night before. We are planning on staying an extra 3 nights at WDW after the cruise, but I haven't decided which hotel. We've previously stayed at Beach Club, Animal Kingdom and Poly. Was planning on staying at our favorite, Animal Kingdom again, but (and I hope this doesn't sound pretentious) I'm wondering if it will have the same effect staying there after doing an actual African safari this summer. So I think I'll wait till I get back to decide. As far as excursions, we know we want to do Sting Ray City. We spent today at an aquarium where my dd wanted to spend all her time at the ray touch pool, so I think she'll love this. We also can't do it through Disney since my ds will be 4. I have heard good things about Capt Marvins which takes 4 year olds. So I'm considering them. DD's favorite animals are sea turtles though (she even has an Ariel/Sea Turtle room) so I'm debating the sea turtle farm too. Having a hard time finding a good excursion for a 4 yo in Cozumel. Maybe an Atlantis submarine ride?

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!

Woohoo!!!  :cool1: :cheer2: pirate: :woohoo: party: :sail: :dumbo: :simba: :stitch: :goofy: :sulley: :mickeyjum :donald: :tigger: :ccat:

We sail in only 5 months!! Summer will be over before you know it. How strange, to be wishing for summer to be over, but our summer vacation will be in winter this year, so it makes sense!

I think we are going to Paradise beach in Cozumel. It is hard to find excursions with a 4yr old

Tink&squirtsmom, I am also waiting to buy airfare but I have the Hyatt booked  where are you flying out of? we live in San Diego and flying out from here but looks like we won't get into Orlando till 11pmish. We are also thinking of staying one night at Animal Kingdom lodge before our two days at Beach Club villa (love the sand pool :thumbsup2 ). We have been to AK Lodge quite a few times but it is one of our fav. resorts and we love Bomas :goodvibes

:hourglass time is going by so fast!! Yeah!

Princessdaisy- I think we'll fly out of SFO (San Francisco). We live closer to Sacramento airport but we like flying non-stop so usually drive down to SFO. We'll probably get in around 10-11pm also.

Bomas is great! I also love the Nyami Nyami's from the bar (banana chocolate alcohol drink... sooo good). Hmm, might just have to stay there for those!

Ohhh, that drink at AKL sounds great :drinking1 I'll have to try one when we stay there after the cruise.

Tink&Squirtsmom: I am also looking into booking Stingray ex. with Captain Marvin or maybe Captain Byron/Brian?? has anyone booked with either of these before?

Have a great day! :sunny:

Southwest just opened up their reservation dates to December 10th!

We are so excited and all this planning has certainly made it real for us. We are traveling with our DD who is 16 and DS who is 6. Anyone have any teens traveling during this time too? We were kind of worried since we are pulling her out of school that there would not be any kids her age. Counting the days!!!!

Hi! My oldest DD will be 16 at cruise time and we are pulling her out of school too. I also have a 13 yo DD and a 14 yo niece going. We're all very excited and can't wait til December. We're hoping the POC ship will still be at Castaway Cay! pirate: pirate:

Yippeee! At least there will be one other in "The Stack" with her! We are so excited we can hardly stand it. Disney....take us away!!!
