Greetings fellow cruisers and Rednecks The ole ball an chain, i mean wife, said i needed to get my cute buttocks (her words not mine) over to this thread and start posting. I brought the thread up and what to my wondering eyes should appear? No, not 8 tiny reindeer, but 53 dad burn pages I barely had time to type this ( hunt and peck method) let alone read all those pages. So, okay i will try to fit it in my extracurricular reading at work while managing my slaves. Not that they listen to me anyhow. So be patient with me as i both catch up and keep up.

It's easy reading...............you'll get caught up in no time at all. HEY........I do the hunt & peck method as well. Who said you need to learn to type, when the better known and better way of hunt & peck is still being used!!! Thanks for the greetings folks . I am now up to page 27 Of course to do this i have to ignore the customers with money in hand trying to buy furniture Don't they understand i have priorities? Anyhow, while reading posts from October i recognized several brief but quality constructed posts from.... myself. Wow, i didn't even remember having posted those. Probably in my post September cruise pre- December WDW trip slumber. I happened to notice, while reading the posts, the variety of people we have in our group. As of page 27 we have 2 countries and 14 states in the hood. Do we have enough people to take over a club or pool for ourselves? They have a very special bonfire one night during Pirate night. Don't ask me how they do it, but they put the bonfire in the air!

I'm trying to figure if my kids will need a passport or if a birth certificate will suffice for the cruise. My daughter will be 7 and son will be 2.

I'm reading up on passports now and see they have the passport card option. Anyone just use that for the Caribbean cruises?

I have a 5 year old son and I was told by a Disney cruise rep the adults need passports and the children need Atleast Birth Cert. Are you taking the 7-night Eastern sailing the 15th of Dec?

Dale, not sure which deck on the Fantasy they will be on either, but I'm sure it will be the same deck as the cattle wrestln', hog tieing and greased pig chasing. Makes kinda sense to me anyways.

I don't know about the Fantasy but the Horse Shoe Pits were on Deck 7, the Secret Aft Area, but you had to watch out for the service dogs. Seems that was their relief spot

We're trying for BLT studio as I used all our points on the cruise, need to pay for 1 night.

We are thinking about staying for just 1 night post cruise, but I would need to wait until the 7 month mark to book. Not sure whether we would do Beach Club or Animal Kingdom Villas - love both but they're very different. I'll have to poll the kids.

we too used all our points. Due to how close it will be to Christmas we will most likely be heading home after the cruise

I'm pretty sure we will be staying at BLT, too! We might check to see if AKL is available at 7 mos, but considering it is Christmastime, we'll probably just keep what we book.

Does anyone remember what time we disembark once back in PC? Given that its about an hour drive from PC to WDW, I'm just wondering about what time we could get to the parks that day.

With it being Christmas I think staying at BLT will be faster travel wise having the monorail as a travel option.

At this point I think if I have a room I will happy. I only have 2 options for rooms that will work. The first choice is filling fast. I will be up before the crack of dawn to get our room. Sometimes the Pacific Coast thing is annoying.

However if ayone here does Alaska, I can act as tour guide. lol

Yes, I'm going on the Dec 15th sailing. I've decided to just get passports for my kids just in case there any emergencies. Better to be safe than sorry.

I have a question for all you with kids? My DD was be 7 and DS will be 2 when we sail. Do you normally take your kids to the Oceaneer's Club & Nursery during the day? Do you leave them there at dinner time? Not that I want to dump my kids off there the entire time but I'm wondering what most parents do? Thanks in advance!!!

Ours were 9 and 17 when we went.

It was not a case of us dumping them anywhere. More the other way around. We were the dumpees.

Ds17 was attracted to the computer and games in his age club (plus the girls)

dd9 fell in love with the lab and made several good friends where they all planned to be there together at certain times. She cried when the cruise was over she had so much fun and would miss her new friends.

Our plan had been to use the club for some adult alone time at the Spa and Palo's.

Be prepared for them to want to go and enjoy themselves. But play it by ear.
