I was thinking, any ideas how we can get more of the men posting? I know there has to be more than just you and me or did we scare them all off.

Kevin, I am trying to get my hubby over here. I think he'll get along with the guys posting here very well. He tends to get real involved with our cruise meet threads when it's much closer to the sail date. I'll send him a little reminder

I'm not sure either Kevin on how we can get more guys to post on here. Pjstevens.............Patricia (May I call you Patricia.................Patty.............no went to far huh...............ok Patricia it is.) Patricia said she was going to try and nudge her DH into posting on here. (Don't nudge him too hard Patricia..............the last nudge I got from my DW left a BIG bruise on my arm!!! She use to fight professionally you know!!!) She probably could knock out the champ in 2 rounds............easily!!! Seriously.............she don't know her own strength!!!

Has anyone even heard what pricing woud be? It's a dream of mine to go back to Europe. Would love for it to be this one, but maybe the next.

I read on the TA thread someone said they paid for their first TA cruise $799 or $899 pp and the last one - in 2011 they paid $999 pp. So if Disney stays in that pricing range for this one coming up in 2013, sounds like it will be pretty reasonable. (Allot of us have our fingers crossed that this TA cruise will come true - not sure just yet). DW and I have never been to Europe and it is something we have wanted to do for sometime now. We would probably fly over early and spend some time doing the tourist thing before sailing back.

Snow?!??!!??? Oh we call that white stuff Sand down here Kevin. Never had to clean it off my car though!! How does it get on your car Kevin?

Seriously, DW and I used to live in Ohio before we moved to Florida. So, we do know all about snow!!! Freezing rain, sleet, icy roads, going out and warming up the car before leaving the house, scraping off frost or ice off the widshield. Don't miss those days!!!

No snow here yet. Cold...but no snow. Dreaming of 60-80 degree weather by the pool sipping my DoD...my Fantasy should become a reality 11 months from now.

DH took a fall on the ice at work, minor he says. I still worry until I see him.
He's on the way home now with orders to ice it.

DD10 says he can ice it by sitting in the snow. He might just do it before he climbs the stairs to come in.

I suspect I will have snowdays Tues, Wed for sure.

I hope Kevin is ok after that fall he took!!! Sounds like your DD gets her sense of humor from her Dad!! That sounds like something he or I would have said!!

I am doing ok, thanks Dave. Enough of the snow though. No school today for the kids and 6-8" of snow forcasted still for tonight. Wore my chains on my feet to work today. No more falling for me.

DD gets her sense of hummor from her wonderful Mom.

I'm trying to figure if my kids will need a passport or if a birth certificate will suffice for the cruise. My daughter will be 7 and son will be 2.

I'm reading up on passports now and see they have the passport card option. Anyone just use that for the Caribbean cruises?

For a closed loop cruise (leaving and returning to same port) they only need a birth certificate.

The reason to have a passport is for emergencies. If you need to fly home from a foreign port you will need to have a passport.

The passport card is basically the same thing as a birth certificate for a cruise and will not help to fly home. So I would not get this unless you will be driving to Mexico or Canada in the near future.

We've added a second cabin to our party - my sister, niece and one of our friends will be joingin us. I'll get their info added to the cruiser list as soon as I get their confirmation - can't remember which stateroom they are in.

We're looking forward to this cruise and I hope to be on here more often

Depending in which state you live in an enhanced state ID works the same as a Passport Card.

After reading up some more on it and in light of the tragedy in Italy I've decided to just suck it up and get passports for the family. Do you think the government will let me finance the cost of those? LOL! We have to get 2 adults and 2 kids.

Wouldn't that be great! LOL! We made the same decision that you did. For us it was like an insurance policy against a problem. If something were to happen, that is one less worry!

Welcome! We are so looking forward to this cruise. Yesterday was our family's presentation to our homeschool group. The girls decided on DCL, and it really seemed like no one was interested. Sorry for them as they don't know what they are missing out on!

Sorry about all the snow in Seattle. Our weather is crazy. Yesterday it was 70, right now it is 31. I do know that it will be getting better soon, though! February tends to be fairly decent, and in March we can sometimes bring out the shorts!

I too am sorry Skye and Kevin have gotten all of that snow. It's been pretty nice down here my way. In fact in am in my unde.................hehehehehehehhehehe (boy is my face red) I am in shorts here now!!! No not really..............BECAUSE I AM AT WORK!!! Also, my computer at home blew up on me!!! Well, again not really....................But I had to call customer service at Dell to have a tech come out and put in a new hard drive. Thank goodness it is still under warranty. It is less then a year old. So I won't be able to post anything at home until my computer is fixed. I will keep up here at work as best as I can.

I brought the thread up and what to my wondering eyes should appear? No, not 8 tiny reindeer, but 53 dad burn pages I barely had time to type this ( hunt and peck method) let alone read all those pages. So, okay i will try to fit it in my extracurricular reading at work while managing my slaves. Not that they listen to me anyhow. So be patient with me as i both catch up and keep up.

Our first cruise was less than a month after 9/11. We went on that cruise without passports as it was too late to get them then but we immediately got them when we got back for peace of mind when traveling.
