Ok, everyone...................I just looked on my ticker at the bottom of my post. It says there are 24 days until we set sail!!!! When did that happen!!!! Did I fall asleep..............we are soooooooo not ready yet..........so much to do.............so little time to getter all done...........there is Thanksgiving Holiday that we are not even ready for..............turkey is still frozen................family coming over early Thanksgiving Day for dinner, son Brian has to work Thanksgiving Day so we need to eat early................Donna is blaming me for the turkey still being frozen................sooooooooo out comes the ol' trusty blow torch...........that'll unfreeze that bird!!!! Anyone else tried the blow torch technique..............how did that work for you!! Kevin.............oh Kevin..............boss................MR PRESIDENT have you tried the ol' blow torch on the turkey technique before??!? (I guess I could put that bird out in the warm Florida sun to unthaw!!!) Anyone got any ideas?????

Our cruise, gang, is fast approaching. I hope everyone is close to being ready. Our FE gifts are all done, packed and ready to put in the carry on suitcase.

Well, sense you asked. My secret is a sink of water. Just keep changing the water to keep it from getting too cold. Not that I have ever done this.

Haven't tried the ol' blow torch, I bet that it would give it a nice golden color w/o roasting. Hmm.......that could be a real time saver

Just booked this cruise yesterday. We moved up our Feb. 23rd Fantasy to this one. Will be me, DH, and DD11 (will be 12 7 days after we get back). Any other tweens?

Seems the Disney walking tour still has us walking this exact route to the forts, just doing it in style following someone in historic costume.

We're still planning to go to the forts (note plural) on our own in San Juan. As well as wondering around town- there are certain areas to avoid near Old Town and I have info on that.

We are doing the "My husband was raised going to National Parks on vacation so much my sil became a Park Ranger, I married into the family and now I am a national park enthusiast, too" historical tour.

Anyone that wants to join us can follow along at whatever pace we happen to be going on that day. National Parks have Junior Ranger packets that the kids can do to earn either a badge or patch depending on the park. (Think scavenger hunt for information)

We always take a long time at national parks and actually read the signs, plus we plan to stop and enjoy some local food for lunch.
With that warning/disclaimer, anyone is welcome to join us.

I will be bringing a big umbrella with me to act as a sunshade as I expect by this time both DD and I will be quite pink/red with sunburn.

I hope to find a really unique umbrella this summer so we will be easy to spot.

Who is up for thinking of our new name??? As most of you are aware the Hens and WorldWide Man Club joined forces and won our first battle. So teamwork does work.

I say plain white athletic socks ... if that's ok with everyone else. Now ... just checkin' ... but I wanna make sure about the socks. I thought I saw somewhere the mention of argyle socks. I would go with the white (or black).

Otherwise ... Hawaiian shirt, plaid shorts, and sandles, right? When are we gonna wear this, the private Men's Club meeting?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! I hope all of you out there in DIS Land have a safe and happy holiday!!!

We've been up since 4:30 this morning unthawing our turkey. He or she...........how do you tell???................anyway, it is in the sink full of water..........Donna said he / she is doing the back stroke in the sink.............everyone's a comedian..............anyway we should be already for the family on time today. So all out there, eat till your bellies are full, sit back and relax and enjoy your favorite football game today.............I mean enjoy your family while you all are together................family is what it is all about!!!!

Not sure of anyone else Missypritch, but this will be our first time in San Juan. Really looking forward to seeing the island. And, you are right it does look fairly easy to get around.

I think we are just going to roam in San Juan....my best friend's husband did have all of his stuff stolen (including ID and Passport) from the beach there so if you are roaming....be careful and pay attention to people around you....sorry it is the cop in me coming out....

One last post for today before I log off. Donna and I got the turkey ready to go into the oven. And here is a saga from As The World Turns..........preheated the oven................noticed that the oven was not heating up...............the element in the oven is not working. Donna looks worried...........she is ready to hit David in the head with one of the cooking pans..............at the last minute David comes up with a brillant plan..............he grabs the phone and calls son Brian............."Brian can we bring the turkey over to your house and all of the other stuff and have Thanksgiving dinner over there?".............son Brian says "sure Dad, bring everything over!!!"................Son Brian is a life saver..........so we are off to cook the bird over at our sons house. Having Thanksgiving dinner over there. See ya!!!
