Its been a rough period, but we are making strides is commandeering the vessel. For most of us we are down to 50 days till operation sail-away. That is when we all have a drink of our choice and toast to the great mickey horn as we depart for a week of fresh sea air and pampering...... I will try to post more frequently but trying to dodge email and phone calls are winning today

One of the nice things about my Job is the week off between Christmas and New Years, paid every year. Or I can work some of it and get Vacation pay and double time pay

This year I am taking it all off.

I understand this particular cruise is very booked due to the long time it took to get a cabin number which I finally got tonight. However, I would like to try and change the cabin but the website is blank where the deck plan is suppose to show up when I try to modify and change the cabin number. Is anyone else having issues with this or have they run into this issue before?

Another long time since I have said Hello to you all.... i thought i would have time to read this thread and post but there are just so little free moments.

I am posting to say we got our room assignment. We are in 9672 so that can be put on the FE list and i will change it on the cruise web page if i can.

Hope everyone is well and we are starting to get excited big time for this trip, I really hope to get to know you guys better before we leave.

So, I am taking your recommendation on working. It's been a long time coming after full-time classes for 3 years! And.....I was able to negotiate my cruise week as a paid vacation

No really, congratulations on the new position. Glad everything worked out for you and your family. Oh, I wish Kevin! How do I get YOUR job?! I found out today that Dec is apparently one of this firm's busiest times of the year. Because I will be gone that week, even tho I negotiated it as a paid vaca, I was told today that because I am taking that week, expect the week between Xmas and NYE to be really tough. So much for returning relaxed....I guess that state of mind won't last too long... Oh well! It'll still be worth it

Oh no, no, no, no, no, she don't use the whip at work......................it's a................what she calls..................a learning tool for me!!!! I do got to say.............I've been on the nice list for 2 years in a row now!!! I'm sure you will do just fine in your new job.

Just keep a couple of pictures on your desk of your cruise, that you can look at ever now and then when things get to be crazy there at work.

WOW...I haven't been on the DISboards since 9/10! Have been keeping up on the facebook group however. OK, so I haven't read pages 139-156 here and I MAY come back and do that.....just to see what sillyness you kids have gotten up to!

I've been jumping in to my crafting projects and have a mess of stuff to get done before the holidays (would like to sell some things before I go!). I've even managed to barter some stuff. I became a Stampin UP! demonstrator, just so I could get discounts on their products because I love their stuff.

Well, I'm outta here again, have to make 22 Holiday cards for Monday...see you on facebook!

By the way....CHAMPAGNE GIRLS count is about 31 ladies!! If anyone posted here on the DIS and NOT on facebook somewhere in pages 139-156, please re-post here and I will be checking in more frequently, but if you are on facebook, please join the group and do it there, under EVENTS. Also if you posted on the facebook page under events, please go back to your post and add a comment with your stateroom number, so I can get messages to people if there should be any complications with our meet day/time. (Currently scheduled as first sea day.)

Mall @ Millennium is in Orlando & the have a Cheesecake Factory which is ALWAYS a plus Happy Shopping. I can add this little bit of info, on the way to the ship you can continue over the bridge into Cocco Beach & Ron Jon surf shop is there and they have all kinds of summer wear, even in December !!

Well, everyone, here it is, the end of a llooooooooooooong work week. Friday, finally made it here!!! Whew!!! These past 3 days at work have been the longest 3 days I have seen................every since................well.............last week I guess it was!!!

WahineMinnie, how is the new job going? You now have a couple of days behind you now. Hope all is well, and it is everything you hoped it would be.

Hey David, talk about the longest 3 days....I think I have you beat! Today I left for the train at 6:30 am, had a full work day, then had to meet someone this evening close to back home, and then home for dinner at 9:30 pm.

Overall, the job will be good, I think. The current office mgr who is training me is so enegetic and gets things done very efficiently. But...I try to keep a bit more structure to my days than jumping all over like she does. But she obviously has done a great job for the past year. One very hard part is trying to figure what each partner wants and their perks and ins and outs. December 15th is looking really good... But I guess it's good news that I plan to go back next week

I don't think the cruise is that fully booked. When I look for staterooms, there are quite a few open. It is kind of early for you to get your room assignment from a GTY. It is often 30-45 days for those assignments. I think we were under 30 when we received ours las year.

I would suggest calling DCL to try to change your stateroom. They may not have that ability online for those that were not able to originally select one. Good luck!
