December 15, 2012 A Yo-HO-HO-HO Holiday Fantasy!

Hey David, talk about the longest 3 days....I think I have you beat! Today I left for the train at 6:30 am, had a full work day, then had to meet someone this evening close to back home, and then home for dinner at 9:30 pm.

Overall, the job will be good, I think. The current office mgr who is training me is so enegetic and gets things done very efficiently. But...I try to keep a bit more structure to my days than jumping all over like she does. But she obviously has done a great job for the past year. One very hard part is trying to figure what each partner wants and their perks and ins and outs. December 15th is looking really good... But I guess it's good news that I plan to go back next week

We humans like to always think of the worse case situation or scenaro, and blow it all up into something terrible in our minds. When you were hired for your job, they saw in you that something special that they knew you were the right person for this job. You can do this and you will be sucessful! Your friends and family and all of us here on the DIS Board are with you 100%. (This is for both you WahineMinnie and Kevin also, who started a new job a couple of months ago.) Now, get out there, I want to see you guys hitting, tackling, blocking, and running down your opponents, and winnig this game for the Gipper.............or yourselves............whichever helps you win this game!!! (Sorry, had a flash back there.....................my ol' coach's comments just came flooding outa me!!!)

Any one know if there are bikes on board also?

The gym on the Fantasy is similar to the Dream. There are stationary bikes, treadmills, eliptical machines, I think a mostly complete weight circuit, some free weights and a bench or two. There is a spinning class and some other ones.

Deck 4 is used for running but it is not a dedicated running track. The distance may be posted somewhere on how many laps to the mile.

WOW...I haven't been on the DISboards since 9/10! Have been keeping up on the facebook group however. OK, so I haven't read pages 139-156 here and I MAY come back and do that.....just to see what sillyness you kids have gotten up to!

I've been jumping in to my crafting projects and have a mess of stuff to get done before the holidays (would like to sell some things before I go!). I've even managed to barter some stuff. I became a Stampin UP! demonstrator, just so I could get discounts on their products because I love their stuff.

Well, I'm outta here again, have to make 22 Holiday cards for Monday...see you on facebook!

By the way....CHAMPAGNE GIRLS count is about 31 ladies!! If anyone posted here on the DIS and NOT on facebook somewhere in pages 139-156, please re-post here and I will be checking in more frequently, but if you are on facebook, please join the group and do it there, under EVENTS. Also if you posted on the facebook page under events, please go back to your post and add a comment with your stateroom number, so I can get messages to people if there should be any complications with our meet day/time. (Currently scheduled as first sea day.)

Hey rtobe,

Yes, others trying to download on certain mobile products had issues, but once they did it from an actual computer, they seemed to be able to get them no problem (lots of posts on FB group page).

If you still have problems, if you want to PM with your email address, I will send you both formats this way.

Thanks for the encouragement. It sure helps! And David, you're right to say many times we overthink or make things worse in our minds. I gotta keep that all in perspective And Kevin, sorry to hear you were at work on a Sunday ....at least I'm M-F.

I didn't read through everything to see if someone answered your question; but typically Deck 4 (not been on Fantasy yet) has the Promenade deck and that is where you have a full "circle - oblong" to run. They have a sign which tells you how long each lap is....I am thinking like 1/3 of a mile for each time around...something like that. And as far as I know; you can use it any time of day. It goes through the engine room at front of ship though and at times the crew is working there; so you might have to turn and run the other way each time if that happens. My husband used to be out there at 6 am running....and lots of people walking or sitting on the chairs out there. Think shuffleboards are that level too. It is typically pretty quiet and serene.

Not sure what you have in mind for your FE gifts. But there are several malls in the area, that may have what you are looking for. Also, there is Downtown Disney.

Does anyone have any plans of purchasing the photo cd on board the ship during our cruise? I know they can be kinda expensive. We have never purchased the cd before, and was wondering if it is worth the cost and if you were happy with the pictures on the cd.

WOW!!!!! I just watched this video and that is some crazy footage. The broken dishes and even the gift shop shelves........wow. I'm glad they returned to port safely but what a scary adventure that was I'm sure.

I was looking at some of the Pics yesterday and the shops looked just like when we got caught in a storm on the Indepence, an American Hawaii Cruise years ago. What a mess that was too. Glad everyone made it back safely.

Men in all white, like Skye said wouldn't stay white for very long!!! I can see Mickey Bar chocolate all over the front, also pizza sauce, mustard, catsup, and the ever so popular spilled soda drink!!! (Must watch out for the spilled drinks...........cause ifn there are some electronics in the suit, they could short circuit out and maybe shock the one wearing the suit!!!)

I too heard they have another movie planned for 2015. Should be a good one!!!
