I must be tired cause that just caused me to burst out laughing, I even scared the dog! I just have never seen a woman happy that her DH is giving his nuts away!

OMG did I really say that? I guess I was just too excited about everyone talking about dancing.

Didn't GG say something about going early to WDW? I don't remember the date he said they would be there. Hope if he is flying, he didn't wear his pirate outfit to the airport. Might be in a brig or loony bin somewhere.

I've been following all of you banter about packing and getting ready trying to relate... weird... seems like I should have been the one freaking out since we fly out at 6:45am Saturday!
I can't tell if I am numb, anxious, nervous, or what...
I taught my last Jazzercise class today before vacation and added a bunch of "latin" numbers to get me in the mood for my Caribbean vacation...trying not to be too obnoxious about it , of course! but it was fun!

I have one bag packed, which doesn't sound like much, but since it includes most of my stuff, all of DS's stuff and the remainder is ready in a second bag that is 3/4 way full, only DD and DH need to pack their stuff.
We could check up to 4 bags and carry on as many but our motivation to pack light is because 8 bags won't fit in a standard rental car with 4 people!

So, feeling pretty good about being ready to go, I guess. It may be one of those times where I'll need to concentrate on the flight to Florida and convince myself that it is time to relax!!

Sigh...I cannot believe we are actually getting this close, it is almost surreal. I told Casey on the phone I felt like I was Cinderella going to the ball....


Speaking of Cinderella- prior cruisers- when do the little girls usually wear their Princess dresses? Both girls have the deluxe cindy ones and I got them tiaras and dont know which day to put them in it!

I think the best night would be the formal and/or semi-formal nights. That's what my little one will be doing. We have Cinderella for the formal night and Belle for the semi-formal night.

Well, we have no bags packed....no crash dieting..gained about 4 pounds since the Halloween candy and Thanksgiving

Thanks so much. Know I do not know what to do now. I bought the girls new dresses for formal and we are doing Palo w/o the kids on semi formal....hmmmmm...thanks for the info!

In that case, I would not worry about it. You will see little girls dressed up as princesses every night, I'm sure. And since it's so close to the holidays, I'm sure there will be plenty of holidays dresses as well. I'm debating on whether or not to bring my DD7's holiday dress....I bought it from AG and she has a matching one for her Bitty Baby. I just didn't want to drag along the doll on the cruise as well Too many things already that I have to pack.

boy oh boy, you gals sure were having a rip roaring good time on the board last night, so funny! sorry i missed it. i have nothing packed for the cruise yet, but 13 boxes packed for our move.
guess i better get started on vacation packing, our flight leaves a week from today, next week is going to fly by.
we cancelled our key west excursion, we're going to wing it on our own with the local bus/shuttle service.
i finally picked up our candy yesterday for the shows every night, that's about all i have organized so far, sad.

Thanks Lucinda for the link to the boarding on deck 1. I had read about the lines busting but had not been back to read the rest since. I sure am glad no one was hurt.

Ya know we are each bringing 2 bags but I am trying to only bring one large suitcase with all the formal wear in it the rest are collapsable duffle bags I picked up at wal-mart. I wanted something that I could hide under the bed and not take up valuable space. Now to figure out how 8 pieces of luggage and all our carry on stuff plus 4 people are going to fit into my little Ford Edge. We just might have to bring the dually or maybe a cargo trailer. (I'm just kidding about the cargo trailer)

Not because of the cruise (although I'm sure that is adding to it!) but about concert tickets I bought on e-bay.
The guy that I bought them from is 30 miles from me and I bought them 12 days ago. THey still aren't here.He is giving me the runaround and saying that he will meet me at the concert to give me new tix.yadayada...like I can beleive him-I have caught his girlfriend in several lies about when she sent them, how she sent them etc. I think she is just trying to cut her losses because they had 15 tickets total, I bought 3 for $125 and they are stuck with 5 still (24 hrs before the concert) that no one is buying even though the price is $100 each now. He wants to give me 3 of the leftover, non selling tickets then make an insurance claim with the post office so that they will get $125 for each of the tickets from me than from the post office-that way he'll only be out for 2 tickets instead of 5.

His girlfriend just left a nasty message on my cell phone about how she is going to be at the concert with the sherrif's department to question me if I try to use the tickets (duh, I don't have them how can I go?) Then she wonders why I want my money back instead of tickets? She expects me to want to sit next to her after how nasty she is? UMMM...NO. Now I'm freaking out because we are going to leave the house for a week, she has my address and can do somthing to it AND I will not have email access to watch the progress of the paypal dispute...UGGH! I don't need this right now!

Question about the magnet exchange to whoever had done this before:
When do we exchange these?
I am afraid if I just deliver them to respective doors, they could disappear before the occupants of that stateroom see it.

Well, we are packed... whew.
2 large bags, 2 carry on size, 1 small cosmetic bag, 3 backpacks to carry on and one rolling cooler (that I am just using as a carry on holding books, magazines, iPod, laptop).

I chose the "surprise me" option with Thrifty car rental which means the smallest car we'll have is Sebring, hoping for something bigger or the kids are going to be sitting on their bags from the airport tomorrow, and to the port next Saturday!

Dogs go to kennel in 2 hours... man that is going to be expensive!!

Kids are home from school (early release day) and not going back until January 5th!!!
Now if I could just shake that nervous, anxious feeling...

It's the Jingle Ball-I don't know if they have them nationwide but it's sponsored by a local radio station with hip hop/rock bands. The tix were actually for my neice & her friends but I told her to hold onto her money until this is resolved. I actually have already had the $$ credited back to my paypal account-it's in dispute and he is not able to produce a delivery confirmation so I will definately win the dispute and keep my money. I'm more concerned about the coming to our house to seek revenge and us not beinghome. My mom will be here housesitting, which scares me more. I don't want her getting caughtt up in all this!

On a happier note WOW you're packed! I would be freaking out too. I know I won't sleep next Thursday night because I'll be worrying about everything-I just have to reind myself that I can buy anything I forget in FL before we board!

DH instituted the "topic change" thing very early in the relationship. He kept getting left in the dust. When my sister is around he just sits there with a bewildered look on his face and waits for us to finish before asking what the heck we were talking about...my mind is SO much faster than my mouth I'm on a new thought before the first one gets out!

Hi all,
I glad someone worries about me. I been reading the last six pages trying to catch up and was going to try and answer all question as I seen them.
No I haven't left yet, nor have I started packing.
My pirate gear is safe and sound and will be packed Sunday with the rest of my stuff ..
Sorry to hear Whoever's husband lost his nuts after passing them around . this place is starting to sound like a soap opera ,
new bride's lost tenticals alot of dancing not to say the least, a whole bunch of ..
Next Saturday should be a real adventure .
I do have to go to work tomorrow to play catch up before I leave next Wednesday for OKW
Now everyone can rest easy grumpy gramps is alive and well, and can't wait for the adventure to begin. But ! for some of you I think it has already started..

I am wearing a cocktail type dress for formal, skirt & top for semi; DH wears a suit for formal and will likely just go with a shirt & tie for semi...
Some go way fancier with gowns and tuxes, but they're the minority.
The little girls in their princess dresses are the cutest!

The only actual character meal on the cruise is a breakfast. You do NOT have to sign up for it, you will be assigned and guaranteed a time on a sea day.

Andrea that sucks on the tickets! I actually got burnt the OPPOSITE way, had mail confirmation and all on a 10 day WDW hopper that I had sold there left from the ones I won on my last trip ( this was 2 years ago). Lady called me from WDW saying the ticket was no good, I was inexperienced with ebay and had posted the pic with the back of it showing, well someone ganked it and got another ticket. Well guest services was able to track and cancel the ticket as it was a WDW issued ticket and all. They gave the buyer a new hopper. She got home and filed dispute...she won because hoppers, even unused ones cannot be sold because they state right on it not for resale was their finding and she was to send the ticket back to me. I received an empty priority mail...so I ended up out over $300 and a 10 day hopper....anyway! Hope it all works out, it should!

Michele- it is costing us $220 to board Eeyore and I thought I was getting off cheap..ours is 12 days though. Bil offerred tonight to watch him since him and my sister just split up because he needs a place to stay. We will prob do that.

You shouldn't need to give them your CC #, but it wouldn't hurt to carry it with you just in case. I believe DCL knows who is CC members and DVC members. You will get the CC lanyards at check in and a CC gift waiting for you in your room....ONE PER STATEROOM.

Lucinda, it is costing me $25.00 a day for Kasey at the vets kennel. It cost so much because I chose to get him a suit with a big bed and private room that is themed lodge.... They also have a web cam that I can check on him when I want. YES he is extremely SPOILED. He is afraid of the dark and does NOT like to be alone, so I will worry about him.

Magnet exchange: on our last cruise we just did the exchange whenever. It was fun to find someone trying to sneak a magnet on your door.
