Nope just me and DW Barb..
We had the 5 DGC 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 at WDW in July for 10 days... Now it's our turn.
For the record I just turned 59 in September and as far as Barb goes, lets just say she is younger than me ....

We get to WDW the night of the 10th and on the 12 will fight the mob at Magic Kingdom for the Christmas Party....Than the next morning we drive to port.. I was able to get into Old Key West for 2 nights and the 10th we are at POP for the one night....

ps::: By the way I just got off the phone with DS and he might be changing his ways, as he told me he went to DL and DCA last Saturday for the whole day till closing .. That is a big step for him.

Sommer that zipline scares me just thinking about it!! You are a brave woman to have even considered it before!

Debz- are yall coming in before cruise day? Thats something we should all do, say when we are coming in, maybe some are staying near each other or whatever!
We fly in the morning of the 10th and are supposed to be there by 10:30am depending on if Delta changes our times again.

i'm thinking of doing the day room at the hyatt too. i've stayed there before and enjoyed the hotel. we also have a late departure.
i would love to be able to give DS a bath to mellow him before the flight home. plus use the pool and maybe a catnap....

We did the Christmas party in 2006 on the 7th of Dec, and I tell you, we LOVED IT! If you can wait till after 9pm, the park clears out sooooo much!! I have videos of Katie with all the characters one on one, dancing and playing and we rode all the rides, just walked on! Closed the park at 1am!! It really was late for her being so young, but it was the most unforgettable night of our lives...I am a huge MVMCP fan lol Remind me and I will post videos and pics from 2006. I was told they dont normally sell out this early in December, we waited and bought our tix 30 minutes before it started from guest services at the Poly.

cripps - I agree, I would love to have a place to let the kids swim and then unwind before the flight with ours being so late and connecting in ATL and all. I need to dig some more info up on the dayrooms there.

penske- we already had that bug about four weeks ago..it is kick butt!! It took Katie almost three weeks to get rid of hers

We use to go to MVMCP every year. It has gotten to popular and therefore is very crowded. Don't get me wrong the shows are great and there is just something about being in the park right before Christmas with all the lights and music. They do give away free hot chocolate (which would be great if it were somewhat cold here). DS says the cookies they give away use to be better.

We go to MNSSHP now instead. We enjoy it just as much. DS actually really likes the Pirate and Princess party the best.

Have to go to Christmas Party , DW has never been and I already have our tickets. I was there last year with DD on the 7th of Dec the night before her 34th birthday DCL trip... Now I have to do it again this year with DW..

Your son is correct, the cookies are nothing to rave about buttt the hot choclate was GREAT.. I had about 5 cups.. Last year it was overcast and drizzley and for the first time visiting Florida I was cold, so it was realllll good.

We did MVMCP in 2003 & 2006, it was great but I think having DL here and going so often-the "fun" was lost on the kids. My kids are not character seekers-they are all about the rides and we could have done that without the extra price and crowd. I LOVED the shows & Hot chocolate but the kids...not so much. Believe it or not they actually begged to go to the Candlelight Processional instead! My kids are weird...
We followed Tour Guide Mike's plan and we missed the crowds for the most part, but being jaded and spoiled my kids didn't want to wait for anything.
This year we are not doing the parks at all. I tried, but DH said no way. We've spent way too much money this year on piddly stuff.


After 4 days of antibiotics I feel alive again. Still coughing, but I slept through the night. Thanks for all the well wishes.

from older posts, it's $89 + tax for the dayroom at the hyatt, they suggest you book well in advance.

We also have stayed at the Hyatt for the day following a cruise. It was definitely worth the $$. We swam in the pool, napped, walked around the shops at the airport and were all ready for our 6:30pm flight back to the west coast. Warning: the restaurant at the Hyatt is expensive... even for lunch. We spent almost as much as the room itself cost just having lunch.

This year we are going to the Swan/Dolphin for the night and an extra day to visit either the parks or the decorated resorts and flying back the next morning.

Wow, Andrea, I hope you are feeling better soon, too! DH and DS had a minor bout of it last week, but seem fine now.

I think I mentioned before that we are also doing MVMCP, anyone else there on the night of Dec. 7th this year?
We have not been to any of the other parties at MK, so nothing to compare it to.
We are opting out of the Candlelight Processional...I would like it, but my DH is one of the top choir directors in the country and thinks it might be like being at work instead of on vacation to sit and listen to a choir!
I am hoping we might catch some while strolling by...

DS appears to be relapsing after DH was ill this week, we'll probably pass on DL on Friday
