December 12 - 19, 2009 Western Magic

Hey guys, I'm at walmart right now picking up cheap candy, and pirate costume stuff. Wahoo!

I am headed there now I got a call from my daughter she is a CSM while she goes to college and she says 50% off is happening now.
Lucky me shes still a dependent at home so I get a discount but not on sale items. LOL

OK, I just sent my DD at college the details of our stay for the night before the cruise....I have some DVC points that have to be used, so I booked a room at Animal Kingdom Lodge...and told her that I was spoiling her. This is her response:

I am a spoiled brat and I love it. You are awesome, and amazing, and fantastic, and super, and wonderful, and magical, and DCLable.. because that's a word. BUT BOTTOM LINE IS BEST MOTHER OF The YEAR!

Thought you'd all like knowing that "DCLable" is a new word!

Can I be happy about another cruise????? I just nailed down my air for the 2010 TA sailing for almost exactly 1/2 of what DCL air was costing. Definition of a good day seems to be getting a bargain from the mouse!

Congrats! Can you share who or how you booked? I've been pricing flights, but am only finding great fares on consolidator sites that give me the willies. I've been waiting to hear how and with who someone from the US booked.

Feel free to PM or email me if it's too off topic for this thread!

Good for you! Mother of the Year! It's all worth it now, right?

Awesome! I totally cheer for anyone to get a good deal.

And, yeah! Can you share? Not going on TA, but we're probably doing capitals.

Thats a great moment.pixiedust:

Cathleen,

I started messing with your picture from the other thread. I left the program up overnight on my laptop. I don't know if it was something I did that hadn't come up yet, or something hitting the keyboard a couple of times, but, what do you think? Not what you wanted, but thought it was kinda cool. Too bad it will probably be nothing I could ever recreate on purpose. :lmao:

Wow! That's awesome. I especially like the ship and how colorful it turned out to be. It looks like one of those scratch pictures where you color away the black top layer to expose the rainbow colors beneath.

Marty (Jordak) took my layered design and was able to augment the colors of the background quite a bit. I appreciate everyone's suggestions and help!!

Hi there, and welcome! We've got a great mix of returning cruisers on this cruise, and everyone would be glad to answer specific questions. The most recent excitement was room assignments for folks who didn't have an actual room booked up front. We've cruised twice in Dec during the holidays, and just love the holiday touches on the ship.

I'm glad Jordak could do it for you, she's great. This is a new graphics program for me. Had it all down pat 6 years ago, and after the trip, I just forgot everything. I'm starting all over again.

Muscatine, there are some really great threads on the main board, everyone has asked the same questions you want to know a hundred times. We could tell you if we know what you want to know. People are very knowledgeable and very helpful. Ask away.....:)

OK...because you guys asked..how I found the TA flights. I went to Orbitz and found flights on British Airways as the cheapest. I liked BA because they also have free luggage. I looked up the same thing on the BA web, and they only showed the 7:05 am departure, not the 11.....too early. Besides, it was a lot more money.

SO, I sent my TA the info I had from Orbitz. She was able to book with her system for like $20 less than what Orbitz was showing. The flight came out to under $475 each way. Of course, I'll need to do SWA for the flight to MCO, but that should be under $100 + $35 for transfers still means that I'll save more than $350 over DCL prices, perhaps more than $400 on each ticket!

I might try and figure it out, it would look really cool to have this on a black shirt.

Wristbands are ordered :thumbsup2

I think I will hang on to them until the DIS meet. That way I don't have to sit in the terminal and not be able to hang out with my family.

If anyone is not going to the DIS meet, let me know, I can even mail them to you before hand.
