December 12 - 19, 2009 Western Magic

Can someone help me with an embarkation day question? I have several things I need to do and I'm not sure where to do it all at. These are the things I would like to take care of ..

Meet with the chef re: food allergies
Meet with mousekeeping re: environmental allergies
Palo reservations
Tea reservations
Check for availability on one of the 'sold out' excursions

I have read about Guest Services and also about Wavebands for meeting with the chef and Palo. But I know that is on the Wonder and don't know what it is on the Magic. I don't know what to do where or which one I should start with. LOL

TIA

KCashner has probably cruised the most on both ships. However, I would say go to Palo first, because, it will only take a minute to get that done. Guest services is probably second, chef last. Chef isn't going anywhere, and everything else will fill up. Also, if you go ahead an let your family sit to dine, and you catch up with them, you probably can get it done faster.

Hi Everyone , I belong to Bev also. You maynot want to text me I'm hard to get a hold of . I'm really getting excited about the Cruise and looking forward to meeting Everyone [/I]

Hi Sorcerers, what is your age? Do you want to hook up with someone to write?

Hi fellow cruisers- we have been battling the H1N1 here in Chicago as well and I'm glad to have it over so I don't have to worry about it. It's scary when your kids get sick. So far the flu has only hit our oldest son and the rest of us have been spared.

I'm hoping it stays that way. I'm very excited about this vacation and I am beyond thrilled to experience my first Disney everything. I'm driving myself insane reading all the various boards and especially the food pictures. Not only do I need to learn all the secrets of the cruise but the land Disney World as well. It's like a full time job :)

Welcome Redshoe! We won't hold it against you that you're probably a Red Sox fan.....:lmao: Just Kidding!!!!!

I'm glad you guys are staying healthy, and hope your ds gets well soon! I know a few others cruising with us have been dealing with the flu too.

I think its Rocking Bar D where you go to for Palos when you first board the ship.

I am sitting here laughing:rotfl2: because sometimes he does act like a kid, but then dont we all???

That is totally for sure. However, I seem to keep putting my foot in my mouth....something I seem to be pro at. Tell DH, we'll accept him wanting a pen pal, however, you must approve all letters before accepting or sending them out :lmao:.

I seem to put my foot in my mouth often. The other day I was telling a story about a terrible Chevy I used to own saying how it was the worst car I ever had and...you probably guessed it I forgot I was talking to the local Chevy dealer and his wife... I just about died but now I can laugh at me.

We booked two cat 12's and got two 10's on deck 2 side by side!

You can also put us down for 2 Adult and 2 Youth bracelets.

TFF :lmao: Sounds like something I'd do.

Thought I'd share this that I made. Thanks to Millie for sharing the background.

Are you the only adult? Or just the responsible one???
Get your Palo reservations first. This will be in Rocking Bar D as soon as you board (unless they change something; I have seen it in other places).
Next, go to Guest Services...I assume you're talking about Tea with Alice tickets. While there, tell them about your needs with housekeeping allergies--they can contact the hotel manager or other appropriate person for you. The reason I suggest this second is that if anything needs to be done in your room, it can be completed before the room opens at 1.

Next, go to lunch at Parrot Cay. Identify yourself to the head server at the entrance as someone needing to speak with the chef about allergies. DO NOT allow yourself to be re-routed to deck 9 to eat at Topsiders. The chef/head server will come to your table and get the needed information.

There is not usually anyone at the excursion desk right after boarding. You will be able to do this later...after the kids are fed, the luggage dumped, etc. Unless you are in a suite, your only hope for a sold out excursion is that someone else wants to not do it. If it's not available, ask to be waitlisted for an opening of whatever family size you need.

It sounds like a lot of running around, but really isn't. Rockin bar D is the first nightclub you'll come to after you go past Guest Services...it's really more mid ship than forward. GS is deck 3 mid, and Parrot is deck 3 aft. You'll be sitting and relaxing while in Parrot. It won't be long after lunch till you'll have cabin access....and if you have swimsuits in your carry ons, send the husband and kids to the pool after lunch.

If there is more than one adult, one can do the Palo ressie while YOU do the GS to meet with the Hotel management staff. Tell him to come to GS area after he gets the Palo ressie.

Can I be happy about another cruise????? I just nailed down my air for the 2010 TA sailing for almost exactly 1/2 of what DCL air was costing. Definition of a good day seems to be getting a bargain from the mouse!

Thank you so much. :) There are two adults. We will split it up and get at it quicker.
