December 12 - 19, 2009 Western Magic

Thanks for creating the site for us. I am thinking really hard of names for our group but I am not so clever as some. Anyone have any good ideas to submit for the poll? I have a few but I dont care that much for them.

"I'm trying to think but nuttins happening"

Thanks! I went ahead and started building on Yahoo Groups. It was pretty simple and its probaly the most reliable out of all I could have chosen. PM me your email addresses and I'll send out the invites most likely by Sunday morning, maybe earlier.

My family is going to have to drop out of our 2009 cruise. We have hopes of making it 12/2010. Darn these economic times LOL.

I am sorry to see you go but hope your future cruise is better for you!

Our oldest daughters retail employer passed a "No December vacations"
rule, she was just promoted to entry level management at Walmart.
We are waiting to see if they will make a exception since we already have reservations.

Hello Everyone:

We have booked this cruise and are counting the days now until we leave. We have cruised with DCL in the past with our children but this time will be a special anniversary cruise for my DH and I. December 12, 2009 is our 28th wedding anniversary and December 18, 2009 is the third anniversary since our vow renewal which we did with DCL in 2006. Disney certainly made that a very special day for us and did an amazing job of the cake, flowers, ceremony, pictures, etc. As soon as we saw the dates of this cruise, it seemed like a cruise made for us and we just had to book it. We will certainly miss our children but do have two cruises booked with them in July 2010 in Europe and December 2010 for Christmas.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing a magical experience.

Take care.

Hi everybody! DH & I will be cruising with all of you in December, and we are so so excited. :woohoo: We are huge Disney fans, but we've never been on ANY cruise before. We'll be celebrating our 5th Anniversary (no little ones...yet) and we just found out about the fish extenders, which seem like fun, and we were wondering what else DCL cruisers can tell us about other fun traditions that will help to make this trip even more special. What are the magnets for? Thanks so much!!:cutie:

Welcome! Congratulations on your wedding anniversary! We celebrated our 25th anniversary on a 2008 Easter Carribean cruise with Disney.
The room steward made us a terrific towel cake!

Welcome! I want to make a fish extender too but I am not clever or gifted with projects of that nature.

Hi Erin!! WELCOME!!! My DH (RBennett) and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary too on this cruise. It's actually the day before (on the 11th.) As far as the fish extenders go, I'll tell you what we did in 2007; we took Christmas stockings and decorated them with different things like glitter and what-not and then hung them outside our doors. As for the magnets, they are basically just a way to decorate your door for fun and to help you distinguish your door easier. We have TONS of door magnets that we still have on our refrigerator. One good magnet that we like to stick on the door is to go to Home Depot and get some lime green paint samples with the mickey heads and cut them out. Then you can stick a magnet on the back and instant door magnet. :thumbsup2

:worship: Thank you to everyone for all of your great ideas! Pooh_Girl we cannot wait to try out your magnet idea! :artist:

School and other things. I haven't recieved anyone elses email wanting to join the group. If you didn't recieve an email request to join the yahoo group, let me know.

School is kind of slowing down, so I'll be on more. So far I've only noticed two names for the group. :rolleyes1 We need to come up with more. I'll try and think of a couple soon.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! :cool1:

Welcome Disney Rocks & Wendybird3508 :goodvibes

Talk to everyone later.

We finally got good news my daughters employer is going to make an exception so she can go with us ! I am so tickled! We also found out that we will have 2 cabins so this is even better!

I haven't posted here in a while, but we just booked the 11 day Christmas cruise for 2010 and can't afford to go on both, so we cancelled this one!

Have fun everyone!!

We will see you on the 11-day Christmas Cruise in 2010. I booked it and surprised my DH and children with this as a Christmas present this past year.

Still looking forward to his first cruise of ours. Am trying to get a resort room for the two days before we leave on the cruise but the prices are not good. Pretty high in fact.

Will be going to Disneyland Paris at the beginning of May unless I get lost on their trains. And if things work out scheduling wise, I may be in Disneyland in July!! It's turning out to be an interesting mouse year. :D

Magical Christmas Christmas Cruise to Neverland

Any other ideas?

Bev, I like it!

Hi everyone! This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. I have 3 boys 18, 16, 15 and my dd is 13 yo. (and of course dh who doesn't get involved in the boards or planning. :confused3 ) This will be our 2nd Western, and we did the maiden Mediterranean voyage. (Now that was fun!:thumbsup2 )

We'll be celebrating our 20th anniversary, my ds graduating and heading off to college and our last Christmas together. We've decided to make it a big one!

We're from SLC, UT and looking forward to meeting everyone.

You totally can make fish extenders! I am not a sewer, and I made these....I also made them for several people on the dis boards. Now....if I can just remember how to post pictures....it's been a while.

Can someone enlighten me so my brain doesn't start smoking trying to remember?
