OK, time to check in here again. I just skimmed thru the last few pages. DD went to college on Thursday, and your counters tell me there are 114 days till we cruise (wonder if that's from today or from when they posted....) It seems short when you think about it in days.

One correction in stuff I read--concierge is cat 1,2,and 3.

We are DD 18 and Mom, currently in a cat 12 gty. That may change (I upgraded DD to a balcony on one sailing and now she's hooked!)

We will be flying in the day before...I'll have to re-check our flight times, but will probably get a Priceline hotel in the MCO area (that's my usual when we come in too late to do anything). Her last day of finals is Dec. 10, we'll fly down on the 11th, and sail on the 12th. On our last cruise we were bumped from our flight, so these are "free" flights! YEAH!

Guess that's all I know. I'd love to do Stingray City. We did the Captain Marvin's island tour on our last western. However, DD doesn't like to snorkel.

If anyone cares, all the beaches on Grand Cayman are free. The beach runs from the tender area for many miles (thus the name "Seven Mile Beach.") It's supposed to be nicer the farther you get from the tender area. There are signs along the walkway indicating public access to the beach. Cabs are plentiful.

Yes, we'll do the FE. I'll update you on our cabin number when I know it. Do we have a coordinator?

I am the coordinator. You can just post your info here and i will post an updated list each weekend from here on until cruise time. Thanks for the info on Grand Cayman. We are planning on doing the early island tour and then the beach would be great. How far are the shops in town?

We've been out of the loop all summer. Anyone post the schedule of important things like the formal nights, lobster night, etc? I'll search for it but just don't know if it's been posted and it's time for me to start planning.

As I sit here in smokey L.A. with fires and smoke and clouds all around, I'll take a moment to respond: I'll be turning 38. Still pretty sure I'm only 23, though. We are all starting to get excited about the cruise. It'll be our second (went in 12/2007). Went to Eastern for 7 days. My daughters will be 5 and 7 at cruise time. Can't wait for them to leave us to go to the kids area. They loved it last time...So since this is my first time on the boards, what can i look forward too?

Very cool, thanks for the heads-up re: Palo & Castaway club gifts. Well my office is in Encino and I got ash on my car. So are people meeting? I was hoping that my 2 girls (4&6) might meet people their age to have more fun. Oh ya, us too! Lemme know.

Is there anyway we could move up the cut off date? The weekend of Thanksgiving is only one week before we leave for Florida (we're heading down early). Some of the things for my gifts were ordered and shipped. It is highly unlikely I could get things that late if we have several last minute additions. Would everyone be ok with a month prior? Nov. 12ish?

We are going to skip the FE this time but thanks for organizing it! We'll be in FL through Christmas and have so much to pack between clothing for an extended vacation and Christmas gifts, that I don't even want to think about packing extras for the cruise.

ENJOY the FE exchange, though!
