December 11, 2004 Eastern cruise thread

I had a dream we never got them and they wouldn't let us on the boat. Everyone in my travelling group is calling me worried. I think this is cutting it close! We sail in less than two weeks!

Refresh my memory.... You've called DCL and they say they've been sent? Or did they just say they've been processed?

Here's a Newbie Question... On the inside flap of the travel documents, it refers to "Fill Out Bahamas Immigration Form". Even though our destinations are in the US Virgin Islands, The Magic's registry is actually the Bahamas, right? Do we fill that out for the Eastern Itinerary? If so, is it available online in advance? I spent some time today filling out all the forms in the travel docs, so I was trying to get as many things done in advance as possible to maybe save a little time when we arrive at Port.

Advice?

I think the Bahamaian immigration form needs to be filled out because we are going to Castaway Cay which is part of the Bahamas. I have never had this form to fill out until I have arrived at the port. It would be nice to fill out in advance, but we have never received in advance. It is short and doesn't take long to fill out. Especially as early as we plan to arrive (lol) :earboy2: . It will give us something to do while we are waiting!!!

Finally doing the doc dance!!!!! Got them when we arrived home yesterday. Read them all right away. Can't believe it's less than 2 weeks away!!!

Gotta start packing.....

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. There's not any snow here, but the wind is really fierce. We cleaned leaves off our lawn 3 times this fall, hopefully they do not all blow on again!!!!

I can't stop thinking about how magical the cruise must look for the holidays!

cruisenewbie2004-I am sure you will get them this week. One of my dcparents never got hers till three days before sailing. They had booked through AAA.Our AAA office here in town is messed up.I had my problems with them this time around, and I will not be booking a single thing wth them again.I would call Disney again if you don't receive them by Wednesday.I just know you will get them this week!

Villaness-They will probably kick us out of the terminal early, and let us in the magic<G>.DH already told me we are leaving Gainesville at 7,and it will put us at the terminal at 9:30.I already know that we will be leaving earlier as neither of us will be able to sleep on Friday,December 10<G>.

Anybody getting the internet package?I have to get it as it may be the only way for me to communicate back home which I need to do while I am gone.Has anybody ever called home while in St Maarten and St Thomas?DH is wanting to do so if we can.I guess there will be calling cards around there that we can get.I assume in St Thomas my cell phone should work since it is US territory at least I am hoping. We will be doing the single digit dance soon!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

I don't have my docs either. I'll call my TA tomorrow to inquire.

Sam

Sam-I thought you had gotten yours.I am sorry!I would definitely call your TA.This time around we found out that if we wanted to get the docs ourselves all we had to do was tell our TA to call Disney to tell them to mail them to us which is what we did without any problems.Hopefully, your TA says to you tomorrow they are here, and you can come get them.

Just got back last night from our Thankgiving break and found our cruise docs waiting for us- what a magical sight!! :cloud9:

When I looked over the documents to check our names (which, thankfully, were correct), I noticed that the seating was listed as MAIN, which if I remember correctly is th 6pm seating. ????? CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS?? We were suppose to be late seating because of the whole time change from the west coast thing so I was a little surprised. Oh well, I'm a big believer that God works in mysterious ways and maybe there is some reason we were switched.

TraSee - sorry it looks like we might need to change the information for our seating in the roll call list!!

smchan and cruisenewbie2004- sending some fresh pixie dust your way for your documents to arrive soon :wizard:

Have to unpack our suitcases from the winter clothes we took with us for Thanksgiving and start packing our cruise clothes!! My husband teases me that it is way to early but with three kids as well as myself (DH is on his own), I would rather have too much time than too little. Besides- in between now and when we leave I still need to find time to put up Christmas decorartions and do Christmas shopping, wrapping and shipping :earseek: . Slight heart palpatations.

Hi Everyone,

Congrats to everyone who has gotten thier docs.

We put our Christmas decorations up on Wednesday the day BEFORE thanksgiving. I thought it was too early, however my mom had to work Fri, Sat, and today. Plus, we are having about 20 people over next Sat for a get together. Anyone done shopping? I just have to go get movie tickets for my two cousins. I am also just about done wrapping. This is a new record for me.

I am so happy that the boards are back up. It gives me a chance to procrastinate on not writing my final. LOL! Actually I am taking a break to see how everyone is doing.

Mark--Does Angela suspect any thing? If she does do you think she suspects something this big? I hope all is going well in the suprise territory.

Have a great day everyone. Just think two weeks from today we will have had two lunches, one dinner, and one breakfast one board. YEAH!!! :cheer2:

Hey I love the new smiles. :flower1:

Jen

P.S. I am a little slow today. How do we PM now?

Thanks for the info. We're set to arrive at MCO at 9am. What time will you guys be there?

We are arriving the night before and staying at the Hyatt. We have a van picking us up at the Hyatt at 9 a.m. so should arrive at the pier early!! Not that we aren't excited!! :cool1: :cool1:

I am completely done shopping with the exception of a gift for my Dad. I got everything finished over this weekend. I'm proud to say that I've not set foot in a single store this year to get done. I estimate that 85% of our household Christmas shopping has been done online. I expect some things to arrive this week that I need to get wrapped, then I'll be all done (Yes ladies, I do my own wrapping. And I'm darn good at it too! ;) )

Jen... Angela obviously knows that "something" is likely to take place, but all the anxiety is in waiting for the other shoe to drop. She doesn't know when or where or how, or how long, so that's the nice part. I'm truly hoping that when she gets to the surprise party, she'll think "that's it" so to speak. Then she'll later find out we're just getting started. I find myself so preoccupied with this whole thing. The very hardest thing is that I'll almost make a statement out loud about something like "Hey, just thing where we'll be two weeks from today" then I suddenly have to put the brakes on my motormouth. We were sitting around having cocktails Thursday night after a dinner party and I almost said something, caught myself in time and said "Oh My, I almost told you something you can't know!" she laughed and said "It's okay if you want to go ahead and tell me". I just shot her the "not a chance" look.

To PM, just click on the username of the post in the top left hand corner. It'll show you all the options, including PM, Email, etc.

Yes, your lack of enthusiasm is obvious :) - What time will they allow us on the ship?

I'm certainly no expert and someone may know better than I, but I believe that the "Main" Seating is actually the later seating. I believe they have "Early" and "Main" rather than "Main" and "Late".

We're in the latter of the two, I do know that. Our Docs are already gift wrapped, or I'd check it for you :)

Hope this helps... Mark

Next to our confirmed dining it says second, and we are doing the late dining. That is so great that you wrapped the docs.I need to start wrapping myself.I may start later on tonight.I am done shopping except for a few things that I will be picking up for people while we on the cruise.

I have read lately where people have actually gotten onboard as early as 11:30 which is rare from what I have read.My friends got on board at noon,so we will be lucky if we get onboard that early.I know for sure we will be sitting in the terminal for a while.Hopefully, some of us can catch up with each other there. The last I knew they didn't let you get into the terminal till 10 if I am wrong please someone tell me.

mbuckles-That is so great that Angela doesn't know what the surprise is yet.She will be so excited when she finds out.

momto2dkids-Congratulations on getting your docs. That was a nice surprise when you got back home.I don't blame you for packing some stuff as it is just dh and I,and I am starting to organizing some stuff already.I want to make sure I don't leave nothing behind.I am not driving back almost three hours for anything once I hit port.

Have a great Sunday night!

We normally eat dinner early when we are at home, but I felt like 6/6:30 was much too early while Cruising. I didn't want to have to rush back, or get short changed on sunshine to start getting ready for dinner.

What all is there to do in the Terminal while we're waiting?

mbuckles-We had early seating on our first cruise on the Disney Wonder, and we thought we had liked it.On the second Disney Wonder cruise,we couldn't get early seating,so we ended up with late seating. We found out with late seating we were able to get ready for dinner without feeling so rush. This time around we have late seating.

There is a coffee shop in the terminal other than that I don't think there is anything else there. We just sit and wait for them to open the doors. The characters also come out right before boarding. That is it that I am aware of.

Argh! My intent was to take my family to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party the night before our cruise. I just went over to disneyworld.com, and it's sold out. :(

I'm checking ebay but - beyond that - are there any other options?

Thanks,
Sam
