December 10, 2009 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

I'm so excited to finally make it to the 1 yr mark!! We booked with over 500 days to go!!! :cool1:

Did you book with DU? I have 5 cabins booked with them already and we need 8 for a group....wonder if we could add some of you to the group.

I haven't visited here for quite some time. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I guess since we are officially in 2009, the anticipation will be unbearable. I am a planning nut and I am sure I will think and rethink all of our plans.

We still haven't decided about the extra night on the 5th, aside from the fact that my DW has decided that she definitely wants 2 rooms for the five of us if we decided to add on the extra night.

I am still leaning toward getting rooms at another Disney resort to reduce costs. I know that would be a little extra pain and suffering but it will be OK :) .

Being the planner that I am, I was disapointed when Disney decided to reduce the booking window to 90 days for dining reservations :confused3 .

I think we have also decided against the dining plan due to the reduced value from the changes that have been made to the plan and the problems associated with adding on the extra day.

Ok all you planners out there. What do you think???? What decisions are you still wrestling with? Counting down.................................................................................................................................................................................

Changing to 90 days just makes for more stress! 90 more days to aganozie over details! :rotfl:

Just a little over 11 months out!!

We just booked a cruise on the Disney Wonder today. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. We took her out on our third wedding Anniversary on Sept. 11. We will be going down the day before and staying at the Raddison at the port. Hope to see you all there.:wave2:

Hi Michelle!! Welcome aboard!!

I hope we get some more cruises now that we are less than a year out!!

Thanks,

I am really excited this will be our second Disney Cruise, We really enjoyed it the first time round. We usually cruise twice a year but looks like we will be taking three cruises this year. The wonder is so much better for the fact you can not really feel the ship moving except to look out the window and actually see it moving in the water. Hope to see you there.:cheer2:

I am SOO happy that we are moving closer and closer. Just over 10 monoths until we head to the World before the cruise.

I can only hope that the airfares will decrease so I am not spending a small fortune just to get there!

Also, hoping that we will get a tax refund to help pay for this vacation....we are going all out with our stay at the Poly before the cruise....I CAN'T WAIT!!!

:cheer2:

no kidding on airfares!! I checked DL from south bend to orlando and it was over $300!!! That's crazy! I'm patiently waiting for allegiant to release their flights....hopeing they match our days!

When Delta first released the fares, they were $568 from hartford (YIKES!)....they are down to $365 now, but still too pricey for me. I am diligently tracking them and hoping that they will drop when SW releases their fares...

304 days to go for us!!! :cool1:

10 months until sailing!!!

My guests are starting to book their flight arrangements!! WOO HOO!!

But they are flying in on wednesday and driving to Cocoa Beach and staying the night. It screws up my bus count! :rotfl: Now i have 1 full van and 1 van that's got 1 person in it! :rotfl: And with all the luggage, there is just no way of stuffing them in the 1st van. HOpefully more will go to the port a day early!!

Hello Everyone!
I was planning a trip on the 3rd, but family thing came up so I will be sailing on the 10 along with you. Myself and DD11. Can't wait, our 4th DCL Wonder cruise:thumbsup2

Nice to have someone else join our thread!

Well, airfare from CT continues to drop...now $307 including taxes, but still too rich for my blood (and too early)....however, I do keep checking every day! I'd love to find a low ticket price!

Under the 300 day mark...the kids and I watched the new DCL DVD that came in the mail....we are all getting excited again. Let's just hope I get good news on the tax front tomorrow when I meet with the accountant. That would be a BIG help to our vacation!!!

I'm trying to convince DH to Fly down on Fri or Sat before land and sea starts on Sunday at the Poly--but we'll have to do a split stay. I'm no way shelling out the $$ for 2 nights at the Poly. So Would I call my TA and add those two nights on? Or just do it myself??. I'm worried that park tickets would be tied to Poly Res. and I would have to check out of one hotel--move all my stuff--then check in to Poly before trying to get in a park early Sunday morning. My husband doesn't do well with being rushed and I like to get to the parks at openning. WHO CARES? WE'RE GOING TO DW!!!!!:cool1:

If you call your TA to add the extra nights, you have to make it a separate reservation (that can be linked) if you are doing the dining plan with land & sea. You can't get the dining plan with any extra nights on the same ressie.

Your park tickets through land & sea are tied to that ressie only, so even though we are going a day early to the Poly, we won't get our park tickets until the first day of the land/sea package. we are taking that extra day and going right from MCO to Sea World for the day, then to the Poly that night.

If you have different hotels for the extra nights versus the land/sea, yes, you will have to check OUT of the first hotel, check into the Poly to then get your park passes and go from there. SO if you want to be at the parks early (like for rope drop), you will need to get out of the other hotel VERY early, and get transportation to the Poly to check in (your room probably won't be ready) and then go to the parks...clear as mud?

Thanks for the quick reply. I was thinking it might be a pain. It would be so much easier, if we'd stay at Poly for the extra night. I did get a 40% off pin code....Uhmmmmmmm....

If you got a 40% off pin code, I'd say GO FOR IT!!!

We are paying the big $$ for the extra night at the poly for just those reasons. DH said, it's not worth it to save some $$ and have to check out/check in again, and then do it again for the cruise...let's make it the trip we want it to be. So....Poly for Saturday - Thursday and then Cruise Thursday - Sunday ....

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

I just wish Southwest would allow bookings for December, and I wish my 2009 Passporter for DCL would arrive (not shipping til April). Sigh...til then, I'm surfing the boards to get my fix!!! Just over 9 months to go....

I agree with waiting for the airlines!! I checked Delta and they are down to $280 pp into Orlando. not bad....but we are waiting for Allegiant Air to release their flights for December, they are NON STOP from Indiana into Sanford hopefully for less than $200 pp!! That would be wonderful! We'd have to rent a car, but at $80 for 5 people, PLUS the convinence of NOT having a layover....I think it would be worth it!
