SILLYANDI said:I know no one is as silly as me to be up at this time, but I booked our Palo, excursions & babysitting and registered the kids for oceaneers club. I got everything at the times I wanted, I just really hate booking so far in advance when I don't know exactly what is happing when. I really wish I could have booked Palo Brunch, that is the only thing I didn't get. I guess I will only have to stand in line to get early seating for dinner now...

SILLYANDI said:I was really surprised too. It looked like everyday and everytime was available-except for brunch. I even changed it a few times because I couldn't make up my mind.
I'm still not sure which is better. We have late seating right now and everything else we plan is depending on if we can squeeze our little party of 6 into early seating. I'm not even sure we should do early seating. My kids eat at 6PM PST now(which would be equivalent to late seating). We plan on keeping that time table while at the parks-but by the time we get to the cruise they may be more acclaimated to Florida time.
You would think I'm planning a party for the queen with how much I'm obsessing.
The way it stands I have a ressie for Palo for Mon night late because I figured we could miss Parrot Cay (I'm banking on Animators, PC then Tritons Rotation) and Wed night late-if we have to we can have appetizers at Triton's and dinner at palo.
What did everyone else do?
iankh said:I booked it for the last night and my big question is how do you know what your rotation will be? This being my first cruise, I don't want to miss any of the the 3 restaurants and would prefer to miss the "repeat', but how do you know which one will be repeated?
iankh said:It all depends if you are saying you have no interest (or in this case do have interest) or have no self-interest.
"He is uninterested in your offer"
"He is a disinterested party"
So, you could have some interest in it, or in this case not uninterested in dinner. Or, you could be a disinterested party in the dinner, having no self interest and just a innocent dinner bystander so to speak. Sort of minding your own business, not caring much, and a witness to a random act of dessert.
SILLYANDI said:From several different sources I have learned that the rotation depends mostly on who is in your partyy(but is totally arbitrary based on when you book, how Disney can fit you in, etc). Families with small children usually start in Animators, go to Parrot Cay then Tritons. Families with older kids usually start in Parrot Cay, go to Tritons & Animators last. Adults alone usually start in Triton, then Animators and Parrot Cay last. You repeat restaurants on nights #2 & #3. Night #3 is Pirate Night with a different menu though-so even if you are sitting in the same restaurant, the menu is totally new.
It is totally confusing and subject to change-but as of 8/26/06 (the last navigator available on the DIS) the scheduling is still as above. WHEW! I'm still not sure I made the right decision!
MINNIE OF TWO MICE said:After sail away and safety stuff they can until dinner and after dinner. What about you? I was not in a hurry to get on the boat but I may change my mind because of palo brunch...I really really wanted that not so much the dinner. Do yall think they save a certain number of places for that reason? If not, that will help me make up my mind.![]()
I hate to miss palo altogether, but I need to be with my kids at dinner.
